Chapter 35 Judging by Performance

Mu Anxiao, hearing the demon’s words, stopped and reached into the fog, slapping the big-headed demon in the face. “You talk too much, Shen Yan.”

Shen Yan rolled her eyes at Mu Anxiao, who was subduing the demon, and sighed.

Ye Yin covered her mouth and smiled.

By extension, Mu Anxiao ended up slapping all the demons present in the face, repeatedly repeating Shen Yan’s name.

At this moment, Shen Yan’s mind had completely collapsed.

“It seems that guy really dislikes you,” Ye Yin said, crossing her arms.

Shen Yan turned her face away from Ye Yin, deliberately trying to distract her. “It’s no use even if you try to set us up.”

“Why?” Ye Yin was easily led astray by Shen Yan.

“Even my master can’t control my thoughts. Do you think you…” Shen Yan paused. “Can?”

“I can help…”

“I will absolutely not let a demon interfere in my affairs. Since you want to become an immortal, show me your determination. Perhaps if I’m pleased,” Shen Yan looked back at Mu Anxiao, who had stopped, and uttered three words: “I will help you.”

“You’re a Great God, and you’ll help me?” Ye Yin was surprised.

“From my interactions with you yesterday and today, I can see you’re a demon with a kind heart,” Shen Yan glanced at Ye Yin, who was staring intently at her. “It’s just that your mouth likes to scare humans randomly.”

“You saw through me.” Ye Yin lowered her head bashfully.

“No matter what, I am a Great God, so of course, I can see through you,” Shen Yan said without modesty.

Ye Yin pursed her lips and smiled, looking up. “Then how do you plan to help me?”

“As I said, it depends on your performance.” Shen Yan looked at the gradually dissipating dark green mist ahead, and suddenly grabbed Ye Yin’s sleeve.

“What are you doing?” Ye Yin’s eyes widened.

“This is your moment to perform.” Shen Yan hooked her lips and, just like before, pushed Ye Yin towards the group of demons.

However, Ye Yin did not appear as panicked as Mu Anxiao. Instead, she calmly spread her hands and conjured ginkgo leaves. “Remember what you said.”

“I remember.” Shen Yan crossed her arms in response.

Ye Yin narrowed her eyes. “Now it’s my turn.” Saying this, she rushed forward and threw the continuously conjured ginkgo leaves at the demons.

Meanwhile, Mu Anxiao sat on the ground, completely exhausted, staring blankly at the ground and yawning incessantly.

“How do you feel?” Shen Yan asked as she walked to Mu Anxiao’s side.

Mu Anxiao yawned several times, her eyes glazed over as she looked at Shen Yan. “It’s fine, I’m just incredibly sleepy.”

“Kid,” Shen Yan squatted down and pressed on one of Mu Anxiao’s shoulders, a forced smile on her face. “How much do you hate me? Tell me.”

“Huh?” Mu Anxiao hadn’t registered what was happening.

Shen Yan’s face darkened, and she pressed Mu Anxiao’s shoulder down a bit harder. “Do you remember now?”

Mu Anxiao tilted her body to one side, the recent events flashing through her mind. “That…,” her expression became completely unnatural. “That wasn’t my intention just now, it was all the vine spirit’s idea. It has nothing to do with me, really.”

“Really,” Shen Yan repeated, taking her hand off Mu Anxiao’s shoulder and standing up by resting her hands on her knees. “Alright, get up.”

“You believe what I’m saying?” Mu Anxiao sat up straight and tilted her head up to ask.

Shen Yan looked down at Mu Anxiao and gave a very eerie smile. “What do you think?”
