Chapter 14 The Partnership

"How can you say that about me?" Mu Anxiao felt her heart struck.

Shen Yan patted Mu Anxiao's shoulder. "When you're willing to sincerely apologize to me, I'll save you." After speaking, he spun around in place and disappeared.

The moment Shen Yan vanished into thin air before Mu Anxiao's eyes, she let out a loud "Ahhhh!" and then tilted her head up to look at the pale blue light flying out of the cave. She pouted and said, "If I knew you were this powerful, I wouldn't have said those things." She smacked herself hard on the mouth.

Outside the dry well, Shen Yan returned to the ground and tidied his sleeves. He glanced at Ye Yin, who was sitting under a tree cracking melon seeds. "You didn't hear what I said."

"Hmm, I heard," Ye Yin replied nonchalantly.

Shen Yan walked up behind Ye Yin and asked, "Then why don't you have any reaction?"

Ye Yin slightly turned her face to look at Shen Yan and smiled. "I knew my little demon arts couldn't trap you. In other words, I just wanted to test the kid below." xxs1

"What do you mean by that?" Shen Yan's eyes darkened.

"What I mean is..." Ye Yin threw away the melon seed shells in her hand, clapped the table, and stood up, turning to smile at Shen Yan. "I'm willing to reach a cooperation with that kid."

"You'd better not tell that kid my identity," Shen Yan reminded her coldly before turning to leave.

Ye Yin looked up at Shen Yan's disappearing figure with the blue light, shouting, "As long as it guarantees you won't leave, that's fine." She said this, then walked to the dry well and asked, "Mu Anxiao, is it fun down there?"

"It's not fun!" Mu Anxiao shouted back, tilting her head up.

Ye Yin asked, "Do you want to come up?"

"Yes, will you let me up?" Mu Anxiao asked back deliberately.

"Yes, why wouldn't I?" Ye Yin said, bending down to pick up a nearby vine. "Move aside." After speaking, she threw the vine down.

The moment Mu Anxiao obediently moved aside, the vine landed in front of her eyes.

"Couldn't you just use your magic to pull me up?" she shouted, staring at the vine.

"Climbing up is your skill. If you can't climb up..." Ye Yin threw melon seed shells into the dry well. "Then it just proves you're useless, and your death is insignificant."

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao pouted and muttered, "Today I've truly seen the character of cultivators and demons. If I had known it would end like this, I might as well have been sold to a brothel." As she spoke, she grabbed the vine.

Ye Yin looked down at the swaying vine and stood up. "Climb slowly. After you get up, you can help me find girls." After saying this, she turned and returned to the table.

Half an hour later... Mu Anxiao, covered in dust, climbed out of the dry well.

"Why so slow?" Ye Yin, with her legs crossed, leisurely watched Mu Anxiao and asked.

Mu Anxiao leaned against the side of the dry well, taking deep breaths. "You demon have no idea what you're talking about when you're standing. That whole place is covered in moss, it's slippery as hell. If it wasn't for me..." She tilted her head back against the dry well, closed her eyes, and continued, "If it wasn't for my strong physique, I probably wouldn't have been able to get out today."

Ye Yin scanned Mu Anxiao's small frame and sneered. "Heh, with your thin arms and legs, claiming to have a strong physique. I truly don't know where you get such confidence to say such things."

"You gave me the confidence," Mu Anxiao said, pointing at Ye Yin.

"Say thank you," Ye Yin raised an eyebrow.

"I'm worthy..." Mu Anxiao's words were cut off as Ye Yin sealed her mouth with magic.
