Chapter 49 Habits of Command

"Continue," the First Soul Spirit grunted, releasing its hold.

Mu Anxiao nodded, resuming her assault on his abdomen.

Ye Yin glanced at Mu Anxiao, pushed herself up, and looked back at the narcissistic girl. "Let's go."

The narcissistic girl nodded, and as she stood up with Ye Yin, the Vine Spirit suddenly unleashed an energy that neither Mu Anxiao nor they could control. The First and Second Soul Spirits instantly vanished into white smoke as the Vine Spirit's power surged. Mu Anxiao stopped, staring in horror at the Vine Spirit's now unrestrained legs. She lowered her fists and took half a step back.

Seeing the Vine Spirit was acting strangely, Ye Yin quickly stopped. She extended an arm, shielding the narcissistic girl behind her, and said, "We can't go."

"I'm scared," the narcissistic girl whimpered, her state completely different.

"I'm here, you don't need to be afraid," Ye Yin said, her face showing her injuries as she spoke.

"You're hurt," the narcissistic girl sobbed.

Ye Yin shook her head and said, "It's alright, hold on to me."

"Okay," the narcissistic girl grasped Ye Yin's hand, her face filled with astonishment.

Ye Yin glanced at Mu Anxiao's trembling shoulders, her mind racing. She quickly pulled out the booklet from her embrace and shouted, "Mu Anxiao, catch!" With that, she hurled the booklet with all her might.

Mu Anxiao was taken aback. She looked up at the booklet flying towards her from above the Vine Spirit's head and yelled, "I can't catch it!"

"Jump!" Shen Yan shouted.

The next second, Mu Anxiao, acting on instinct, jumped upwards forcefully and perfectly caught the booklet as it fell towards her. She stood stunned for a few seconds, then began to laugh brokenly, "Ha... haha... ha, I caught it."

Shen Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

The Yin Messenger looked calmly at Shen Yan and said, "It seems you order her around a lot."

Shen Yan shot him a sideways glance and remained silent.

"You must be harsh on her, otherwise your commands wouldn't have become her habit."

"Instead of observing that, you should hurry and think of a solution," Shen Yan said, pointing at the barrier.

"I already have a solution," the Yin Messenger said, a smile playing on his lips.

"You have one?" Shen Yan exclaimed in surprise.

The Yin Messenger smiled at Shen Yan and said, "Now it's my turn to command that guy." He turned back and shouted at Mu Anxiao, who was still giggling while holding the booklet, "Throw the booklet over here quickly!"

"Why should I give it to you?" Mu Anxiao asked, turning sideways and showing no regard for the Yin Messenger.

The Yin Messenger glanced at Shen Yan, who was watching him, and his expression turned slightly awkward. "Don't ask why, just listen to me."

"Why should I listen to you?" Mu Anxiao retorted, looking at the still-preparing Vine Spirit ahead.

"You..." The Yin Messenger felt his pride wounded and said agitatedly, "Do you still want to live? Only that can resolve this." After speaking, he slammed his hand twice on the barrier.

Mu Anxiao looked at the barrier, which the Yin Messenger had almost cracked, and was about to step forward when Shen Yan shouted, "Be careful!"

Mu Anxiao was startled. Just as she was about to dodge, the Vine Spirit grabbed her by the back of her collar.

"Go to hell."

Hearing the Vine Spirit's voice behind her, Mu Anxiao's scalp tingled. Before she could even say a word of appeasement, her feet were lifted off the ground.

"Ah, I don't want to die," she wailed with a pout.

"You don't get a say," the Vine Spirit coldly stated before hoisting Mu Anxiao into the air.

Ye Yin and the narcissistic girl turned their heads simultaneously and closed their eyes.

The Yin Messenger tsked twice and said, "I told you to listen to me, and you didn't."

"Mu Anxiao, closing your eyes will make it faster," Shen Yan said helplessly, offering her a suggestion.
