The girl glared at Mu Anxiao and said, "What I hate most in my life is being deceived by low-class servants like you. You're not an immortal at all; you're a short, rogue."
"You've said everything; I really haven't..." Mu Anxiao stopped midway.
"You can't even finish your own sentence."
"I can't finish it, so what?" Mu Anxiao didn't want to appear weak in front of the girl, deliberately widening his eyes.
Seeing Mu Anxiao's expression, the girl sneered, "You've been lying to me from beginning to end."
"Who lied to you?" Mu Anxiao retorted, scanning the girl before him. "From the start, you've been misunderstanding everything. No matter what I said, you always had that self-righteous look, saying whatever you pleased."
"You said you were an immortal," the girl raised her chin.
"You forced me to say it, you little brat," Mu Anxiao emphasized deliberately.
"You..."
"Enough with the 'you.' Go find somewhere cool to hang out," Mu Anxiao said.
"You just wait!" The girl pointed at Mu Anxiao, then turned and stormed off.
After the girl was completely gone, Mu Anxiao turned to the boy, who was sitting on the ground, and said, "You really know how to tattle."
"Me?" The fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy scratched his face.
"Stop with the 'me.' I knew long ago you weren't any good. You're so gossipy at such a young age; what will you be like when you grow up?" Mu Anxiao glared at the boy.
The boy swallowed, remaining silent.
Mu Anxiao glanced at the boy and surveyed his surroundings. "I'll count to three. Knock yourself out."
"Huh?" The boy was taken aback.
Mu Anxiao spoke without turning back, "Something's going to happen shortly. If you don't knock yourself out..." He gestured towards the boy. "Don't regret it."
Then, the boy let out an inexplicable "oof" and fainted.
Mu Anxiao frowned, turning to look at the fallen boy, and sighed softly before turning to the man in the pale blue robe and Shen Yan who had appeared before him. "Who knocked this guy out?"
"Not me."
"Me neither," the man in the pale blue robe chimed in, echoing Shen Yan.
"If it wasn't you two, then it must have been me?" Mu Anxiao pointed at himself.
"Your hand," the man in the pale blue robe pointed at Mu Anxiao's hand, which was emitting black smoke.
Following the man's gesture, Mu Anxiao looked down and immediately started hopping around, "My hand, my hand!"
"Who told you to use so much force?" Shen Yan said.
Mu Anxiao vigorously shook his still-smoking hand and exclaimed, "Stop talking! It's going to catch fire any second!"
"Water," the man in the pale blue robe raised a finger.
Mu Anxiao, looking anxious, grabbed his wrist and fanned his hand. "Brother, I know about water, but we don't have any!" As he spoke, he blew at the black smoke in his palm.
"I was right to call you stupid all along," Shen Yan said, raising two fingers and twirling them in the air. "Come here."
"Okay," Mu Anxiao nodded and hurried to Shen Yan, offering his hand.
Shen Yan glanced at the dirt on Mu Anxiao's face, sighed softly, and placed his two fingers on Mu Anxiao's palm. Within seconds, the black smoke vanished completely.
"All done," Mu Anxiao said, separating his hand from Shen Yan's fingers.
"Stupid," Shen Yan uttered.
Mu Anxiao wiped his hand on his clothes a couple of times and said, "Can you stop calling me stupid? Don't you know that some people, by the way they talk, eventually become that way?"
