Chapter 164 Sent Flying

Then, Mu Anxiao suddenly withdrew the hand holding the small jade gourd, and exclaimed, "How could this be?" She looked at the small jade gourd, which had a crack again.

"A mere mortal, and you still want to contend with me? Utterly a dream," the wolf demon said, turning his gaze to the woman who was carefully watching the wine cup. "If you dare to steal a drink, I will surely kill you."

Upon hearing that she would die, the woman hurriedly shifted her gaze away from the wine cup.

"I won't drink," she shook her head.

The wolf demon said nothing and swiftly moved in front of Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao suppressed the fear in her heart and said, "You wicked monster, I have a way to deal with you." As she spoke, she raised two fingers and pointed at the wolf demon's chest with a whoosh.

However, it had no effect.

"How could this be?" she asked in surprise, looking at her fingers emitting black mist.

"Where did you learn these tricks?" the wolf demon asked, dusting off his clothes that Mu Anxiao had dirtied.

Mu Anxiao swallowed and took a deep breath, thrusting her fingers into his chest again, then concentrating to use her meager magic to fight him.

Unexpectedly, her prolonged effort was met with the wolf demon's attack.

"Die," the wolf demon said, striking Mu Anxiao's forehead with his palm.

In an instant, Mu Anxiao's head involuntarily tilted backward. Before she could even react, the wolf demon took a few steps back, swung his arm forcefully, and sent her flying.

"Mu Anxiao," the Yin Messenger shouted.

On the other side, as Mu Anxiao fell backward to the ground, her body bounced twice heavily before she involuntarily let out a groan, and a bloody smell spread in her mouth.

The Yin Messenger couldn't bother with anything else and rushed to Mu Anxiao's side, squatting down and saying, "Hold on."

Mu Anxiao blinked for a long time, unable to react. As soon as she opened her mouth, blood flowed from the corners of her lips.

"She's not lightly injured," the man in the pale blue robe said, stepping forward and raising his fist. "Your death has come, wolf demon."

"Where is Shen Yan?" the wolf demon asked, bypassing the man in the pale blue robe.

The man in the pale blue robe widened his eyes. "You are not qualified to ask where he is." As he was about to step forward, a red light descended from the sky and enveloped him.

"I will not fight you," the wolf demon said, clapping his hands and turning to face the gradually appearing demon souls. "Consider yourselves lucky, and I shall spare your lives."

"Thank you, boss, for not killing us," the demon souls said in unison, cupping their hands.

Mu Anxiao coughed a few times. The Yin Messenger bent down and helped her up with difficulty, saying, "I didn't expect him to be so powerful."

"I know his weakness," Mu Anxiao said, spitting out more blood.

"The magic I gave you was all scattered by him. You are not capable of fighting him now."

"I'm fine," Mu Anxiao pushed away the Yin Messenger, a competitive spirit rising within her.

"What are you going to do?" the Yin Messenger asked in surprise.

Mu Anxiao, unsteady, braced herself and stood up. "What can I do? I couldn't defeat him, but I can talk to him." As she spoke, she began to limp towards the wolf demon.

The man in the pale blue robe, confined within the mist, looked at Mu Anxiao passing by with the same astonishment as the Yin Messenger. "You can't go."

Mu Anxiao ignored the man in the pale blue robe, dragging her steps, and said, "Wolf demon, I want to talk to you."

Hearing her, the wolf demon stiffened, turned towards Mu Anxiao with a whoosh, and asked in surprise, "You mortal, you're not dead yet."

"Why don't you eat me?" Mu Anxiao asked.
