Inside the prison cell.
Mu Anxiao still stood before the wall, thinking of a way.
Finally, the wolf demon couldn't stand it anymore. "What can you figure out by just looking around like this?"
"Wolf demon, I have a question for you," Mu Anxiao said without turning her head.
The wolf demon looked at the back of Mu Anxiao's head, growing curious about her question. "Ask away." He felt a bit uneasy.
Mu Anxiao: "Are you truly unwilling to marry Rose, or is it just an act?"
"Of course, it's true." The wolf demon didn't want Mu Anxiao to misunderstand his intentions and responded earnestly.
Mu Anxiao let out a 'hmm' and said, "Good, I understand." As she spoke, she turned to face the wolf demon.
The wolf demon was utterly confused. "Understand what?"
"I have another question for you." Mu Anxiao met the wolf demon's gaze.
The wolf demon's heart sank, and he frowned. "If you have questions, just ask them all at once. Hiding them like this is no fun."
"Alright, then I won't be polite." Mu Anxiao said, stomping twice on the straw mat. "Does that hurt?"
"..." The wolf demon blinked, bewildered.
Mu Anxiao chuckled. "What an idiot."
"No," the wolf demon retorted indignantly, unhappy with Mu Anxiao's tactic. "I haven't even said anything, why are you calling me names?"
"If you don't help me, this will be your fate," Mu Anxiao said, a smile playing on her lips. "And if you go back on your word about not wanting to marry Rose, this will be your fate too. Think about it."
"You're saying all this just to get me to help you." The wolf demon understood Mu Anxiao's intentions.
Mu Anxiao smiled. "Yes, I want your help, but you don't seem too willing."
"How am I not willing?" The wolf demon's eyes darted away.
"How are you not willing?" Mu Anxiao repeated, continuing, "If you are willing, then teach me the wall-piercing technique."
"I..."
"Don't say you don't know. I know exactly what kind of demon you are, wolf demon. Now, if you teach me the wall-piercing technique, I will find a way to help you break off the engagement."
"Can you really do it?" The wolf demon still had doubts, considering Rose's relationship with Mu Anxiao.
"As long as you teach me the wall-piercing technique, I will definitely be able to do it. However, if you don't cooperate with me, that's another story," Mu Anxiao said calmly. She had thought for a long time and couldn't find a better solution.
".." The wolf demon paused.
Mu Anxiao knew the wolf demon would need time to think, but recalling the man's eager attitude to complete the task, she grew impatient. "Hurry up."
"If I don't help you, what are your plans?" the wolf demon asked curiously.
"If you don't help me, I'll use my magic, my spiritual energy to get out, and then you can just wait for Ouyang Ye to arrive."
"You're truly not afraid of Ouyang Ye?"
"With you as my backup, why would I be afraid?" Mu Anxiao deliberately tried to scare the wolf demon.
As expected, the wolf demon compromised the moment Mu Anxiao said that. "Fine, I'll teach you."
"Are there any conditions?" Mu Anxiao knew the wolf demon must have something to say if he was agreeing without expecting anything.
The wolf demon shook his head.
"None?" Mu Anxiao was surprised.
"As long as you can return safely, that's enough."
"You..."
"I know you wouldn't stand by and watch me marry Rose." the wolf demon said softly.
Then, Mu Anxiao lowered her eyes and smiled, "It's good you know."
"Mhm." The wolf demon nodded and stepped forward to stand before Mu Anxiao.
A quarter of an hour later...
The bee squatted outside Rose's courtyard, using its finger to sketch the terrain with demonic art. Unexpectedly, Rose walked out of the courtyard at that moment and saw the bee drawing the map. "What are you drawing?" she asked, approaching the bee.
Upon hearing her, the bee hastily retracted its finger. "I wasn't drawing anything." As he quickly picked up the paper, Rose reached out and grabbed his arm. He was startled. "What are you doing?" he met Rose's gaze.
Similarly, Rose met the bee's eyes with a calm expression and asked, "Why are you drawing a map of this place?"
At that moment, a man appeared behind a tree, observing the bee's reaction closely.
The next second, the bee, while rolling up the paper, said, "I was just bored."
"Then you shouldn't be drawing my place," Rose said angrily.
The bee, mustering its courage, deliberately acted like an unreasonable demon. "What I draw has nothing to do with you. Besides, how do you know I'm drawing your courtyard?"
"You know I'm marrying the wolf demon, so you're trying to cause trouble, right?" Rose saw through the bee's intentions.
However, although the bee was indeed trying to sabotage the wolf demon's marriage with her, from a realistic perspective, he knew he held no place in Rose's heart. If this incident made her see him clearly, it wouldn't be worth it.
Helplessly, he resorted to a white lie. "No."
"Then what are you drawing this for?" Rose, distrustful of the bee, grew serious. "I get it. You must be trying to make the wolf demon look foolish on the wedding day, right?"
"I didn't," the bee stated firmly.
Rose sneered. "If you didn't, then ghosts are real. Here," she spread her hand, "Give me what you drew."
"I won't..."
"Bee, my patience is limited. You'd better not push me too far." Rose's eyes began to emit a red glow.
The wolf demon knew Rose was angry.
But if he yielded now, all his and the man's plans would be ruined. Unable to help himself, he changed the subject. "You want to drive me away, don't you?"
Rose nodded. "Yes."
The bee's heart sank, and he gave a wry smile. "I knew you'd want to drive me away, so I thought I'd use my own efforts to build a courtyard like this."
"A pipe dream," Rose said, glancing at the bee dismissively.
Immediately, the bee chuckled wryly again. "I know, it's just a pipe dream. How could I, a bee, create a place like yours? But," he said, his gaze sharp, "I still want to tidy up my own yard like this, so the gap in my heart won't be so big."
"You? I advise you to go back and wash up for bed," Rose said with a disdainful smile.
This was exactly the effect the bee wanted, so Rose wouldn't dwell on that matter any further. Thus, seeing Rose's dismissive expression, he didn't feel disappointed; instead, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright then, I'll go back and wash up for bed." With that, he started to walk around her and into the courtyard.
