Chapter 231: Did we break the sequence?

Chapter 231: Did we break the sequence?

Since Faust was certain that the source of the fire elemental energy was in that direction, the only thing that we could do was follow the river of magma to the source.

It was unknown how long it would take, but we weren’t scared since...

"Faster! Faster!"

"You can run yourself if you want!" Tempest complained as we cheered from his back.

As a slime, Tempest was able to change into different forms because of all the food that Iris brought him. As such, there were many different forms that he could take that would help us in many different situations.

Such as the one that he took now that allowed him to move at high speeds on land.

Of course, it wasn’t just high speed movement on land, but also high speed movement in the air and in the water.

It could be said that Tempest had turned into the perfect all terrain vehicle with the different forms that he had unlocked.

"If you want to do it, then do it yourself next time."

Since we were all connected, it was only natural that he would know what we were thinking.

Being regarded as a vehicle naturally wasn’t something that he was happy about, which was why he made this complaint.

None of us said anything as we just revealed awkward smiles.

With the speed that Tempest went, we soon arrived at the place that we were looking for.

It was just that when we found it, it certainly wasn’t what we had expected to see.

In fact, this was a place that we were actually familiar with.

This was all because we had seen it in the game before.

It was just that we didn’t expect to see this place here since this was supposed to be a dungeon that was in a completely different place.

"Well, that does explain why there’s so much of this fire elemental energy in the first place." Faust summed it up in a single sentence, but this still wasn’t enough to explain everything.

"No, we should be thinking about why this place is here to begin with. After all, isn’t this place supposed to be on a completely different part of the continent?" I asked after he summed it up.

Once again, no one said anything in response since there was nothing that we could say in response.

"It’s clear that we’ve somehow sequence broken this game...Is it because of the knowledge that we’ve brought with us?"

"No, that can’t be..."

"Could it be that we’ve found a secret area?"

For us that came from a world where this world was a game, we had to think about it differently from everyone else.

Logically, the only thing that could explain something like this was that we had broken the sequence that the game should have gone at. It was just that there wasn’t anything that suggested that we did.

"So why is this dungeon here?"

"Maybe it’s here because the devs placed it here and only moved it after a certain point in the game?"

"If that’s the case, someone would have found it a long time ago. With how many glitch hunters play this game, do you really think that no one would have found this place already?"

All of us fell silent after hearing this since we all knew that this was correct.

But in the end...

"Does that matter right now? What we have in front of us is the perfect opportunity to raid this place." I said as a smile slowly crept onto my face.

When they heard this, there were smiles that slowly crept onto their faces as well since they knew that I was right.

This dungeon was one that was famous for having good loot, it was just that it was also famous for being hard since there was a specific pattern that one had to use to pass through the various traps here.

But for us, that wasn’t a problem.

We were among one of the few dedicated players of this game that had memorized that pattern.

As long as we found where it started, it would be easy for us to make it through all of the traps that were in this dungeon.

"So we’re somewhere at the mid point of the dungeon?" I said after scouting out the area.

The others nodded in agreement after they had looked around as well.

This place wasn’t that hard to recognize since there were many distinguishing features about this dungeon. Just a single glance was more than enough for us to recognize a few of the patterns that were around us.

But the moment that we did, we realized that it was a problem.

We were completely surrounded by traps.

Or we should be completely surrounded by traps.

This one spot was a spot that was part of a dead zone in the pattern. This was a spot that no one was supposed to approach since they would be surrounded by traps if they came here.

Bitter smiles appeared on all of our faces when we recognized this.

Then I turned to Faust and asked, "Can you sacrifice one of your skeletons?"

He thought about it before slowly nodding in agreement.

It was only natural that he would agree with me since this was the only thing that could be done. If we didn’t sacrifice something, then there was no way for us to get out of this dead zone.

If we didn’t get out, the only thing that we could have done was retreat.

After all, trying to break through that trap with force was considered choosing death since this was supposed to be a late game dungeon. The power of that trap would be more than enough to blow any of us away.

We weren’t going to sacrifice our lives for this.

"Move back and give it some room." Faust said before summoning a skeleton.

When we went back into the tunnel, he sent the skeleton forward.

Only when the skeleton crossed the threshold, what we expected to happen didn’t happen.
