Chapter 205: A slime’s life (8)
Once the Goblin King had been slain, the goblins didn’t dare do a single thing as they lowered their heads and raised their hands.
Even with their subpar intelligence, they were able to tell that they were nothing more than toys in the hands of the shooter.
If the shooter wanted to, it was easy for the shooter to kill them.
Which was exactly what I did in the end.
These goblins weren’t anything good, so there was no need for me to keep them alive.
At the same time, it wasn’t as if I would be able to gain anything else from these low tier goblins.
It wasn’t just because they tasted awful that I wanted to get rid of them.
When all of the goblins had been finished off, that was when I landed with the kobold that I had been holding.
Once we landed, that kobold immediately ran over to the rest of the kobold to see if they were alright. Those kobolds had been huddled together while trembling in fear as they didn’t know what was happening.
They had just hoped that whoever it was that was killing the goblins would let them go.
That was why they were shocked when they saw me arriving with the kobold that I saved.
However, I didn’t care about any of them as I transformed back into my human form and walked towards the Goblin King.
I was already certain that it was dead since half of its head had already been melted by my acid.
It was just that I couldn’t help wondering, "Will I still gain anything from eating something half melted like this? It should mean that half the essence of this Goblin King should be gone since I melted half of it....right?"
In the end, I just raised my hand and released a vortex of slime at the Goblin King’s corpse. The slime just completely swallowed up the Goblin King corpse and then brought it inside of my body.
There was a strong urge to throw up that came over me since this thing really was disgusting.
Even though I had already been expecting this, I was still overwhelmed by how disgusting this thing was.
It wasn’t just disgusting that it was bitter, it was disgusting that there was a mix of terrible tastes that filled my senses the moment that I swallowed this Goblin King’s corpse.
It really wasn’t something that was fit for consumption.
It was a good thing that I was able to dissolve the Goblin King’s corpse quickly and see the list of skills that it possessed.
"These really aren’t that good at all." I couldn’t help saying with a sigh when I saw the skills that I obtained.
I had some hopes since it was a Goblin King, but it really was disappointing.
"Saviour, is there a problem?"
I turned to see that the kobolds had gathered behind the one that I saved and they all looked at me with wary looks. However, there was one kobold that came forward with the kobold that I saved.
Judging by the aura that he gave off, he wasn’t a normal kobold.
"It’s nothing, it’s just that I was a bit disappointed by something."
Then looking at all of the kobolds that were gathered, I asked, "Is this everyone in the village?"
The kobold looked surprised and a bit cautious when he heard this, but he slowly gave a nod to show that this was the case.
I didn’t say anything as I just waved my hands and released a liquid.
There were some that had looks of fear in their eyes since they had seen the way that the goblins had been melted.
It was just that they weren’t able to move out of the way in time and the liquid splashed all over them.
Once the liquid splashed on them, some of them started patting their bodies as if they wanted to wipe it away. Some of them fell to the ground and started rolling as if they wanted to get rid of it.
It was just that the liquid that had been splashed on them quickly disappeared.
It wasn’t that the liquid was actually removed from their bodies, but their bodies absorbed the liquid.
I just calmly said, "Calm down, this is a potion that will heal you."
When the kobolds heard this, they calmed down a bit. However, most of them looked closely at their bodies as if they were afraid that something had happened to them.
It didn’t take long for them to figure out that I was telling the truth as most of their wounds had healed after they had absorbed the potion that I splashed on them.
I shook my head and said with a sigh, "If I saved you, why would I bother killing you right after saving you? Wouldn’t that be a waste of my time?"
There was an awkward look that appeared on the faces of all the kobolds when they heard this.
The one that approached me with the kobold that I saved and seemed to be the leader of these kobolds said, "Saviour, I apologize for our actions. We didn’t mean any offense."
Then with an awkward look, he said, "It’s just that it’s hard to believe that someone would help us for no reason..."
The rest of the kobolds had the same awkward looks on their faces when they heard this.
I didn’t mind that they were acting this way since this was just normal.
There was no one that would help someone without any reason, especially since we were all monsters in the first place.
In the world of monsters, it was eat or be eaten.
So it really was hard to believe that a monster would help another monster for no reason.
I didn’t care since I had already finished my good deed for the day.
"It doesn’t matter what you think of me. I’ve taken care of the goblins, so I’m leaving now."
