Chapter 349 Taking Action

The leading cloaked assassin lunged directly at Jiang Yi.

This cloaked assassin was quite skilled.

Unfortunately, he encountered Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi swiftly dodged the cloaked assassin's attack, then kicked him flying.

Seeing this, the vast plaza fell silent.

"I don't want to waste time, you can all come at me together!" Jiang Yi said.

The remaining thirty-odd assassins gnashed their teeth in anger and rushed forward, pouncing on Jiang Yi.

"Manager Yang, he can't possibly win against so many experts by himself. Should I tell them to stop!" the secretary asked Manager Yang.

"No need to rush, let's wait and see!" Manager Yang wore a playful smile.

On the high platform at this time, two cloaked assassins had already been knocked to the ground by Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi showed no mercy; every strike was a fatal blow.

Two minutes later, all thirty-odd cloaked assassins lay on the ground.

This scene silenced the entire plaza once more.

Everyone stared at Jiang Yi with wide eyes, as if looking at a monster.

Manager Yang, who was sitting in his chair, could no longer stay seated and stood up.

"We must recruit this kid as an assassin for our company!"

Manager Yang took a deep breath.

"I've been with the company for so many years, and this is the first time I've encountered such a promising talent. With this kid, our company will surely become the strongest assassin organization in all of China."

"Manager Yang, isn't that a bit of an exaggeration!" the secretary couldn't help but say.

"Not at all!"

Manager Yang said, "Over thirty top assassins couldn't even touch the corner of his clothes, yet he defeated them all!"

"Our company has never had such an expert. If he joins us, he can accomplish any mission, no matter how difficult the target."

The secretary remained silent.

"Furthermore, I can tell that this kid wasn't using his full strength just now. His skills are far more formidable than what we've seen!" Manager Yang added.

The secretary believed this.

After all, Manager Yang was once a top assassin himself, and with his skills, he could naturally discern Jiang Yi's prowess.

"Manager Yang, should Jiang Yi's test continue?" the secretary asked.

"No need!"

Manager Yang smiled, "Jiang Yi has passed his test. After the test concludes, have him come see me!"

"Yes!"

The secretary nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, on the plaza.

The crowd's gaze was still fixed on Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi remained calm.

"Your test has been passed!"

The secretary walked towards Jiang Yi and said, "Go upstairs and have your Honor Plate re-evaluated!"

Jiang Yi descended from the high platform and headed for the second floor.

There were quite a few people on the second floor.

Sitting by the counter was an old man with white hair.

On the chairs around him sat numerous other assassins, who, like Jiang Yi, were there to have their Honor Plates evaluated.

They were different from Jiang Yi.

These assassins were here to have their assassin ranks upgraded after successfully completing missions.

Jiang Yi, on the other hand, was here for evaluation after passing a test.

With so many assassins gathered, the air around them felt colder.

Each assassin exuded a suffocating killing intent.

"Kid, are you new here?"

A voice called out from behind him.

Jiang Yi turned to look, and saw a man in a floral shirt speaking.

"I am new. Do you have any advice?" Jiang Yi asked.

"I ask you, among those who took the test just now, was there someone named Jiang Yi?"

The man in the shirt stared at Jiang Yi and said, "My name is Yuwen Fu. Jiang Yi killed my brother, Yuwen Chong. I was on a mission when I heard my brother was killed, so I got so angry I abandoned my mission and rushed back to finish him off and avenge my brother."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yi chuckled slightly.

"What are you laughing at?" Yuwen Fu glared at Jiang Yi.

"I am Jiang Yi!"

Jiang Yi raised an eyebrow. "Your brother was killed by me."

Hearing this, Yuwen Fu smashed the teacup in his hand, jumped up from his chair, stared intently at Jiang Yi, and said angrily, "Kid, how dare you kill my brother! I will kill you today."

"Are you sure you want to fight here?" Jiang Yi asked with a smile.

"Yes!"

Yuwen Fu said in a deep voice, "You killed my brother, I must kill you personally to avenge him."

With that said, Yuwen Fu pulled out a sharp dagger, gripped it tightly, and thrust it directly towards Jiang Yi's throat.

"Truly brothers, using daggers as their weapons!"

Jiang Yi seized Yuwen Fu's wrist, lifted his leg, and kicked him flying.

Yuwen Fu, enraged, lunged at Jiang Yi again.

Jiang Yi sneered, dodged Yuwen Fu's attack, and with a swing of his fist, struck Yuwen Fu squarely in the chest.

Yuwen Fu cried out in pain.

Before Yuwen Fu could recover, Jiang Yi landed another punch.

This time, Yuwen Fu was sent sprawling to the ground.

"Stop!"

Manager Yang walked down from upstairs and shouted angrily.

Seeing Manager Yang arrive, Yuwen Fu quickly stopped.

"This is not the place for you to fight!"

Manager Yang's sharp gaze swept over Jiang Yi and Yuwen Fu, and he said sternly, "Whoever dares to cause trouble here again, I will not spare them."

"Manager Yang, this kid Jiang Yi killed my brother, I must avenge him!" Yuwen Fu said indignantly.

"Didn't you understand what I said?"

Manager Yang's sharp gaze fixed on Yuwen Fu, and he said, "Your brother, Yuwen Chong, lost his life during the test. His death has nothing to do with Jiang Yi. If you continue to dwell on this matter, don't blame me for falling out with you. I won't say it a second time!"

Yuwen Fu was deeply resentful but had no choice but to give up.

If he continued to fight, Manager Yang would certainly not let him off.

Manager Yang was a superior, and going against a superior was tantamount to seeking death.

"Jiang Yi, this matter isn't over. One day, you will die by my hand. I will definitely avenge my brother." Yuwen Fu said furiously.

"I'm afraid you won't have the chance!"

Jiang Yi raised an eyebrow and glanced at Yuwen Fu's chest.

Like Yuwen Chong, his heart had suffered a severe injury.

On the surface, it wasn't serious, but he was very close to death.

Within an hour, Yuwen Fu would certainly die.

Even an immortal couldn't save him.

Jiang Yi said no more, walked directly to the counter, and handed the Honor Plate to the old man.

After the old man completed the evaluation, he was stunned on the spot, his face filled with an expression of disbelief.
