Chapter 40 The Broadcast and the Farmhouse Visit

Such superior treatment, high salary, and proximity to home – it would be foolish not to take this job!

"We are willing."

It was almost in unison. Even going to the county town might not have yielded such a good job. Eight hours a day, no overtime, and at least 2200 a month!

"Alright then, on the 9th you can all come over together for a day of unified training. We officially open on the 10th. In the meantime, please settle your affairs at home," Shen Yao said.

Everyone went home with excitement after receiving their replies, eager to share the good news with their families.

"Yao Yao truly has the demeanor of a big boss," Ning Min remarked, looking at Shen Yao.

"Naturally," Shen Yao replied smugly, feeling no shame at all.

The Shen family waited at the farmstead until 6 PM.

As soon as 6 o'clock struck, Shen Yao took out her phone to start the livestream. With the experience from last time, Shen Yao specifically prepared a phone tripod for the broadcast.

"Hello, hello,主播小姐姐!"

"As soon as I opened the stream, I was greeted by a stunning beauty. It feels like a day's fatigue has vanished."

"The streamer is truly divine-looking, beautiful no matter how you look at her!"

"Little fairy, I managed to book a spot at the farmstead. Although it's the last day, we'll be able to meet soon!"

"Seriously envious of the person above. My hands, which have been single for over 20 years, couldn't snatch a spot fast enough. *crying emoji*"

"Stop talking about it. I finally managed to snag a cancelled reservation, but my phone died from low battery just as I was about to pay. Does anyone understand my pain!"

"The person above is too unfortunate. With such luck, I bet even drinking water would cause them to choke."

"Streamer, can people who didn't manage to book a spot still come? I really want to visit."

...

Shen Yao saw that particular comment and replied, "Those who didn't manage to book can still come, but you'll have to find accommodation elsewhere, and meals will be on your own."

"Then I'll ask for leave from class to come and see!"

Shen Yao: "No, you still need to attend class. The streamer's farmstead isn't going anywhere. If you really want to come, wait until the holidays and then bring your parents and family."

"Streamer, with so many people coming, can your farmstead accommodate them all?"

Shen Yao: "It can. Actually, our farmstead is quite large, and it's only about half an hour's drive to the beach and scenic spots. There are many places to visit."

"Streamer, can you give us a tour of your farmstead? From start to finish."

Shen Yao: "Do you want to tour the farmstead? Of course, you can. Alright, the streamer will now take you on a tour."

With that, Shen Yao picked up the phone tripod and switched the camera's direction.

It was past 6 PM, and the sky was still quite bright, but they had already turned on all the lights in the farmstead.

The antique-style two-courtyard layout, coupled with the carefully selected lighting by Shen Yao, created an immersive atmosphere, as if one had truly traveled back to ancient times.

The entire courtyard, except for the necessary foundations constructed with cement and steel, was built with wood. All visible modern architectural elements were adorned with wood.

Pavilions, terraces, waterside pavilions, rockeries, strange stones, flower beds, bonsai, creeping vines, and lush bamboos – everything was complete. The farmstead, excluding the backyard, occupied about 5000 square meters, a full seven acres of land.

Shen Yao's plot of land spanned over 10 acres. Excluding the farmstead courtyard and their own house, the remaining land behind was also fenced off.

"It's so beautiful. I didn't realize how big it was in the videos, but following the streamer now, it's unbelievably vast!"

"A courtyard house like this, in a first-tier city, would cost at least a few small fortunes."

"You're thinking too small. In first-tier cities, you couldn't buy this kind of architecture even with money!"

"Envious of the streamer. Such a wonderful farmstead is truly unparalleled."

"Wuwuwu, the more I look, the more regret I feel. Regret not grabbing a room earlier!"

"I'll fight with all my might to get a room next time, just for this place. If I don't get one, I'll... I'll keep trying! *crying emoji*"

"Streamer, streamer, go upstairs! I want to see the room layout!"

...

Amidst the flood of comments, Shen Yao saw the one requesting to see upstairs.

"Then I'll go upstairs and show you the overall view of our farmstead, and then I'll take you to see the room layouts."

Shen Yao said, then walked directly to a small compartment behind the large dining room. Inside the compartment was a staircase leading directly upstairs, providing access to Shen Yao's home.

Shen Yao's house was three stories high, with a small pavilion built on the rooftop. Beside it, some flowers and plants were grown, including *yù yè yīng luó* (羽叶莺萝), which climbed up the entire wall.

The flower of *yù yè yīng luó* is similar to a morning glory, both being vining plants, but with a five-pointed star shape. It is also called the five-pointed star flower. Each bloom is a vibrant red. (This is also one of the author's favorite flowers. In my hometown, this flower was always planted by the door when I was young. The leaves are also beautiful, and I liked to press them in books.)

Shen Yao leaned on the railing of the pavilion, pointing the phone towards the farmstead.

From an overhead perspective, the entire farmstead was captured by the phone. Shen Yao didn't forget to slowly pan the phone, recording all the buildings of the farmstead.

Witnessing this scene, the viewers in the livestream room began to frantically spam comments again.

"Ahhhhhhhhh! It's really huge and beautiful. My vocabulary is limited, and I can only describe it as 'wow, f***'!"

"Oh my god, it was too close earlier, and I didn't notice anything special about the rockery pond in the courtyard. From this angle, it's simply a visual shock!"

"Look, there are so many koi in the rockery pond!"

"Am I the only one who saw the pond and vegetable patch behind the courtyard?"

"I saw it too, I saw it too! The lotus leaves in the pond are growing so well. It must be very comfortable to relax in the pavilion at night!"

"The vegetables in the vegetable patch are also growing very well, and they are so neatly planned. A perfectionist like me is very satisfied!"

...

Shen Yao filmed for a while longer on the rooftop, letting them see enough before descending.

Following the same path back, Shen Yao returned to the second floor of the courtyard house.

Several bells hung from the corridor on the second floor, with ribbons attached below them. When the breeze came, they emitted a clear and pleasant "ding-ling" sound, swaying the ribbons and looking graceful and beautiful.

The layout on the second floor was similar to the first, but with the addition of several benches along the corridor, where one could lean on the railing and enjoy the view of the courtyard below.

Shen Yao pushed open one of the doors. The room number was Qing Feng.

The rooms named starting with "Qing" were all single rooms. Qing Feng was a typical single room.

Upon pushing open the wooden door, one was greeted by a large wooden bed. The bed linens were not the white commonly used in hotels but a timeless champagne color that complemented the wooden bed perfectly.

Beside the bed was a dressing table with a sliding mirror, which was convenient for those who disliked large mirrors. Next to it was a large screen, behind which was the bathroom.

There was no television in the room, but a projector was installed. Whenever one wanted to watch TV, the projection screen could be lowered, minimizing the appearance of modern elements.
