Leng Kui saw Su Muqing fall and rushed forward to help her up. "Your Majesty, are you alright? Are you injured?"
Su Muqing steadied herself with Leng Kui's arm and stood up. She felt the pain in her leg becoming more pronounced. She frowned and shook her head. "I'm fine, I just slipped."
After she regained her balance, Leng Kui squatted down and touched the stones with his hand. His palm immediately felt a sharp stinging sensation. "These stones are so strange, it's like they have blades on them."
"These are all shells from the seabed in the past. The sea level has dropped, so the stones underneath have been exposed," Su Muqing replied to Leng Kui's question while taking out a drop of spiritual spring water and silently applying it to the burning wound on her leg.
"Oh, I see." Leng Kui said, dusting off his hands. Looking at the large expanse of reef, he scratched his head in frustration. Walking across it would waste a lot of time.
Su Muqing stood up and observed. Fortunately, this section of the reef was only a few dozen meters wide. "Third Brother Leng, I'll take you across using my Qinggong. Remember to circulate your inner energy!"
"Okay."
Seeing Leng Kui nod, Su Muqing grabbed his clothes. Both of them circulated their inner energy simultaneously and quickly flew across the reef towards the seaside.
Actually, with Su Muqing's Qinggong, carrying someone for a distance of dozens of meters was a simple matter. However, the problem was the heavy rain and the strong wind by the sea.
Although Leng Kui also knew Qinggong, after a long jump, he needed a point of force to continue airborne. Moreover, he couldn't fly as high as Su Muqing, which made him a bit of a burden.
Just as they were about to fly over the reef, Su Muqing clearly felt her strength waning. She quickly threw an octopus from her space into the sea, and then the two of them began to fall from mid-air.
The sudden sense of weightlessness startled them for a moment. Leng Kui was heavier and fell faster than Su Muqing. The area below was entirely covered in sharp reefs. If they fell from such a height onto the sharp parts, they would surely be injured.
Seeing Leng Kui about to fall, Su Muqing anxiously reached out to grab him, but she couldn't muster enough strength with the falling weight. The two of them screamed, closed their eyes, and covered their faces with their arms.
Just as they were about to fall and get injured, suddenly! Two long, soft tentacles extended from the distance and caught them steadily.
Su Muqing kept her eyes shut, but after a long time, they still hadn't landed. When she opened her eyes, she saw a sharp reef just inches away.
Phew! That was close! She almost hit her neck.
Su Muqing turned her head to look beside her. Leng Kui was floating in mid-air in the same pose. She looked down and saw a tentacle tightly wrapped around her waist.
"I'm okay... That really scared me to death. If we had fallen onto these rocks, we would have been dead or seriously injured," Leng Kui said, breathing a heavy sigh of relief and patting his chest as if he had narrowly escaped death.
Before they could even land, they were pulled back rapidly by the tentacles. It turned out that Zhang Haiwang had seen them in danger and chivalrously extended its "tentacles" to save them, thus averting a catastrophe!
"Sea King, thank you so much! Otherwise, falling from such a height, we would have been in so much pain," Su Muqing said, patting the octopus's slippery body and praising it profusely.
Hearing Su Muqing praise it, Zhang Haiwang let out a series of small bubbles, filling the sea surface with dense foam. Although octopuses cannot speak, they release bubbles to express their inner joy when they are in a good mood.
The excitement of surviving the ordeal made the two of them forget the cold. When gusts of sea breeze blew towards them, the two of them, drenched, shivered uncontrollably.
Su Muqing's hands were pale and wrinkled from the water. She wrung out her constantly dripping clothes and said to Leng Kui beside her, "Third Brother Leng, let's go into the space first to change our clothes. Wearing wet clothes will definitely cause us to catch a cold."
Leng Kui, with his imposing stature of over six feet, was also finding it hard to bear the cold. He stammered with his frost-white lips, "Okay, I'll do whatever Your Majesty arranges."
As soon as he finished speaking, Su Muqing took him into the space. She placed Leng Kui in a specially designated area, which had their private bathing tubs and new clothes prepared in advance. There were also waterproof suits and thickened down jackets.
Su Muqing also returned to her own small villa, filled a bathtub with warm water, took off her soaked clothes, and sank into it for a good bath.
After raining for several hours, she was really tired. The temperature in the space was comfortable, and Su Muqing lay in the bathtub, feeling drowsy, automatically blocking out the mosaic images appearing in her mind.
After a good bath, the two of them changed into casual wear and came to the living room. Although they didn't experience any adverse reactions on their bodies, to prevent a cold, Su Muqing still brewed some thick ginger tea.
She and Leng Kui each drank a large bowl until they felt warm all over. Then they made something to eat, and after filling their stomachs, they sat down to rest for a while.
Before leaving the space, they began to put on their clothes frantically. First, they put on thick down jackets inside, and then layered on rubber waterproof suits outside. They were fully armed, with only their faces exposed.
After getting ready, Su Muqing took Leng Kui out of the space. The octopus was lying on the reef like a pile of snot-like mud. Suddenly, two round "leather balls" appeared on its body!
Seeing Su Muqing and the others appear, the octopus immediately became spirited. It extended two tentacles, about to wrap around their waists as before.
Su Muqing patted the octopus's tentacles, preventing it from wrapping around her waist. "Wait! The wind at sea is so strong, it will give you a headache if you're exposed to it for too long. How about I take out a rubber raft? You can pull the raft."
The octopus's round eyes rolled. It transferred the two of them to another tentacle. The two large tentacles behind it seemed to come alive and quickly coiled and knotted.
After writhing for a while, the two large tentacles wove themselves into two soft and comfortable single chairs. Su Muqing and Leng Kui exchanged glances and happily climbed into the specially made chairs.
This Zhang Haiwang was truly thoughtful. The chairs formed by the tentacles were not only for sitting or lying down, but their suckers, when expanded, were like umbrellas, shielding them from the rain and serving as footrests. They were practically high-end, mobile massage recliners.
Seeing that the two had settled in, the octopus dragged them with its other tentacles and crawled back to the center of the sea. Although it couldn't use two of its legs, once it entered the water, its speed was incredibly fast. Su Muqing peered out from behind the suckers. Besides the vast expanse of the sea, there were only splashes of waves churned up by the octopus. Its speed was at least over a hundred yards per hour. She was surprised by its speed, yet there was no sense of bumping or jolting. It was truly fast and smooth.
