Chapter 429: Chapter 339: The Chase, the Evasion (Part 2)
Sitian Yu nodded, saying, "Exactly."
Liu Yuqian suddenly thought of something and asked, "By the way, is Wei Heyun still pursuing you recently?"
"Ah?" Sitian Yu’s brows furrowed as she asked, "Why are you suddenly bringing him up?"
Liu Yuqian feigned surprise and asked, "Don’t you know?"
"Know what?" Sitian Yu’s frown deepened.
Liu Yuqian said, "He’s been preparing a movie project recently."
Sitian Yu’s face was full of incredulity as she asked in shock, "Him?"
Liu Yuqian nodded, saying, "Yeah, I was also quite surprised. But this news has been out for a while now. I thought you would have known already. Hasn’t he asked you to play the female lead?"
Sitian Yu said, "Even if he asks me to act, I wouldn’t. These rich heirs think they can just dabble and make a movie without ever having been beaten down by society."
"Just accumulate some virtue with your words. If I had a man like Wei Heyun pursuing me, I’d have agreed long ago."
"You can have him then. Hurry up and go."
"Missy, do you think if I take the initiative, he’d even look my way?" Liu Yuqian said, "You too, don’t hang your heart entirely on Song Chi; he’s already with Zhou Yun, aren’t you giving up?"
Sitian Yu glared at Liu Yuqian in irritation and said, "Just because they are together doesn’t mean they won’t break up. I refuse to believe they will last forever."
Liu Yuqian looked at Sitian Yu in surprise.
Sitian Yu’s attitude was a bit beyond her expectations.
...
Throughout the whole afternoon, Wan Zhiliang did not appear in the cafeteria.
Zhou Yun took a short nap in the lounge and after waking up, Zheng Xiaojue told her that there was a problem with the set for the afternoon’s shoot and they were making modifications; the shooting schedule was to be delayed a bit.
Zhou Yun left the studio, intending to stroll around.
The sun shone brightly that day, and the sunlight was nice.
Zhou Yun stood on the steps at the entrance, looking up at the sun.
The warm sunlight showered over her, making her feel toasty.
Suddenly, she heard Yu Sitian’s voice.
"Do you know where Director Wan is?"
Zhou Yun followed the voice and saw Yu Sitian questioning a crew member.
The crew member’s cheeks were flushed red as he shook his head, saying, "I don’t know."
A look of disappointment crossed Yu Sitian’s face.
As she looked up and saw Zhou Yun, her disappointed expression quickly turned into one of annoyance.
Zhou Yun: "..."
"What are you looking at?" Yu Sitian lifted her chin and strode away fiercely.
Zhou Yun muttered under her breath, "Crazy."
"Sister Xiao Yun can actually curse," Xu Siyao’s voice suddenly rang out from behind her.
Zhou Yun was startled.
She turned around and saw Xu Siyao standing there with a half-smiling expression.
She had no idea when Xu Siyao had come over, or how long she had been there.
Zhou Yun’s face expressionless, she said sternly, "Are you a ghost or something? Walking without a sound?"
Xu Siyao pouted, ignoring Zhou Yun’s aggressive words, and simply said, "I thought Sister Xiao Yun just looked down on me."
Zhou Yun returned her half-smile and said, "Don’t put a label on me, when have I ever looked down on you?"
Xu Siyao: "You can deny it."
"Don’t jump to conclusions," Zhou Yun turned to leave.
"You didn’t like me from the first moment you saw me, did you?" Xu Siyao’s voice stubbornly persisted from behind her.
Zhou Yun’s steps paused, and after a second, she finally said, "The first second I saw you, I didn’t like you. Don’t you know why?"
Xu Siyao: "Is it wrong for me to want to become famous?"
"You wanting to become famous is not wrong, but if you’re thinking of stepping on me to get there, let me be blunt, why should I let you?"
"I never thought about stepping on you to climb up!" Xu Siyao retorted.
Zhou Yun laughed scornfully, "You think you never have."
There really was nothing to say to Xu Siyao.
Perhaps, in the eyes of some people, their memory is a filter; anything that doesn’t serve their interests gets filtered out, then they play the innocent victim, questioning others.
Zhou Yun thought it was best not to wander outside today and hurried back to the lounge.
As she reached her lounge door and was about to push it open, she suddenly saw Wan Zhiliang rushing over from the side, saying to Zhou Yun, "Quick, let me in, I need to hide here for a bit."
Zhou Yun was taken aback.
Wan Zhiliang twisted the door open himself and dashed in.
Zhou Yun was shocked. At that moment, Yu Sitian suddenly appeared from the other end of the hallway, in a hurried state, as if she was looking for someone.
Yu Sitian probably didn’t expect to see Zhou Yun again, her complexion fell.
Zhou Yun immediately understood what Wan Zhiliang was hiding from.
She laughed, curled the corner of her mouth, and rolled her eyes mockingly at Yu Sitian, then turned and entered the lounge, slamming the door with a clear attitude.
One could imagine how frustrated Yu Sitian must have been in the hallway outside.
Wan Zhiliang was sitting on the sofa in her lounge, laying an arm over the back of the couch, with a posture verging on slouching.
Zhou Yun teased, "Director Wan, what kind of disaster are you escaping from?"
Wan Zhiliang sighed and said, "Stop teasing me, I’m just borrowing your place to hide for a bit. They won’t come here."
Zhou Yun laughed heartily and said, "I never thought I’d serve this purpose, a guardian deity against Yu Sitian and Xu Siyao for my lounge door."
Wan Zhiliang said, "You female celebrities are too scary; each and every one of you, relentless in achieving your goals."
Zhou Yun: "Stop it, if a man does the same thing it’s called persistence and never giving up. Don’t be so sexist."
Wan Zhiliang: "You know that’s not what I meant."
Zhou Yun’s eyes twinkled with a sly smile, "Alright, Yu Sitian and Xu Siyao indeed are the relentless types, that’s your words."
