Chapter 438: Chapter 346: Live Interview Broadcast (Part 2)
"Mhm, got it, Sister Xiao Yun, don’t worry, I will definitely keep a close eye on brother-in-law’s every move. If any woman covets him, I’ll report to you immediately," Zheng Xiaojue said excitedly.
"Wait a minute?" Song Chi asked, "Why has it suddenly turned into supervising me?"
But Zhou Yun nodded in agreement, showing her approval, "That’s more like it."
Song Chi: "Hello?"
Zheng Xiaojue’s eyes sparkled brightly, unable to contain her excitement all the way.
"Let’s keep this a secret for now, it hasn’t been made public yet," Zhou Yun reminded, "Don’t tell anyone."
Zheng Xiaojue nodded vigorously like pounding garlic, "Understood!"
And so, Zhou Yun moved into Song Chi’s house.
Song Chi lived in a large penthouse apartment he bought himself.
The apartment was spacious enough to accommodate both him and Zhou Yun with room to spare.
It was evident that Song Chi had tidied up especially to welcome Zhou Yun; everything was in perfect order.
The environment here was far better than the apartment provided to Zhou Yun by Chengqian Entertainment.
But Zhou Yun had never cohabited with a man before. She couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous, even her heart raced a little.
Song Chi took her on a tour of the house, introducing her to every room.
Each room was unfamiliar, and they would slowly become known over time.
Throughout this process, Zhou Yun didn’t feel at all like she was going to be the owner of these places.
During this process, Song Chi noticed Zhou Yun’s discomfort and restraint. He hugged Zhou Yun at the staircase, hoping that the closeness of their bodies would help ease her discomfort. Indeed, Zhou Yun did find some comfort in this familiar contact. She said, "Your house is beautiful, I like the paintings on the walls, did you buy them?"
There were many floral and botanical paintings hanging on the walls of Song Chi’s house, mainly oil and pencil drawings, especially a huge one in the living room that took up nearly two-thirds of the wall space, giving the impression of being surrounded by nature.
Song Chi said, "Some I bought, and some I painted myself."
Zhou Yun looked at Song Chi in surprise and asked, "You can paint too?"
Song Chi smiled and said, "Studied it for a few years."
"That’s amazing," Zhou Yun exclaimed, gazing at the paintings around her, "Which ones did you paint?"
Song Chi put one hand in his pocket, wrapping the other arm around Zhou Yun’s waist, and said, "Take a guess."
Zhou Yun couldn’t tell.
The paintings seemed beyond the skill level of a beginner.
In the arts, she really didn’t know much.
Her upbringing hadn’t provided the grounds for such learning.
Song Chi led Zhou Yun downstairs and they sat down on the couch.
"I was worried that if you didn’t like these paintings, I wouldn’t know what to do," Song Chi said with a smile, "I was prepared to banish them to the dark."
Zhou Yun said in surprise, "How could I not like them? These paintings are so beautiful, they make me feel good just looking at them."
"I also like the feeling of having more greenery at home, but keeping real plants tends to attract mosquitoes and bugs," Song Chi chuckled.
Zhou Yun nodded, "That’s true."
Song Chi: "As long as you like them, Xiao Yun, I’m very happy you are moving in."
He kissed the side of Zhou Yun’s ear.
Zhou Yun’s legs curled up on the couch.
"What if we have a fight?" Zhou Yun said.
Song Chi chuckled lowly, "You can make me sleep on the couch."
Zhou Yun responded to Song Chi’s kiss.
"That’s what you said."
...
The next day, before dawn, Zhou Yun was awakened by her phone.
She had set her phone to vibrate the night before because she knew it would ring early and didn’t want to disturb Song Chi.
Song Chi was still sound asleep. Zhou Yun carefully got out of bed, took her phone, and went outside the room to answer the call.
"Xiaoju."
"Sister Xiao Yun, Cao Jun and I have arrived downstairs," Zheng Xiaojue said, "There is a morning news interview today, we need to leave right away."
Zhou Yun said, "Wait for me for ten minutes."
She hung up the phone and turned around, only to find Song Chi standing at the door wearing just his underwear, his arms crossed over his chest, smiling at her.
Zhou Yun stared at him, baffled, and asked, "I thought I didn’t wake you up."
Song Chi shook his head, "I wasn’t woken up by you, are you going out?"
"Mhm, there’s a live morning news interview," Zhou Yun tousled her hair, "I’m running out of time, I need to rush downstairs, they are already waiting for me below."
