Shen Yao’s wife was named Yu Mengyao.
She was dressed simply, but still looked beautiful.
"Xiao Yun, hello there." Upon arrival, Yu Mengyao warmly greeted Zhou Yun, "Shen Yao told me he and Director Wan are treating you to dinner tonight, so he said we should meet and say hello."
Zhou Yun said, "Hello, sister-in-law."
Yu Mengyao’s smile brightened a bit when she heard the words "sister-in-law."
"Have you been busy lately?"
"Not too bad, I’ve specifically asked to take some time off to rest because I’m joining a new project soon," replied Zhou Yun.
Yu Mengyao nodded and said, "Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to eat. I’ve been with everyone at the set, I can cook for you."
Zhou Yun looked pleasantly surprised and asked, "How can I impose?"
"There’s nothing imposing about it, I have to cook for Shen Yao anyway," she said.
Zhou Yun said happily, "Then sister-in-law, your cooking skills must be amazing. If you don’t mind, could I learn some culinary skills from you? If I get the chance, I’d like to cook for Song Chi."
Yu Mengyao took Zhou Yun’s hand, gave Shen Yao a white-eyed look, and then said, "You better not learn from me. I regret it so much now. Shen Yao doesn’t do anything at home, I’ve become his nanny. You better keep some dignity and have Xiao Song take care of you more — that’s the hard truth."
Zhou Yun’s smile was radiant, "No wonder Brother Shen looks so energetic despite working on the set for so long; it’s all thanks to your care."
Yu Mengyao sighed, "Marrying him has made me into a hardworking toiler."
Shen Yao shrugged helplessly and said, "Alright, stop ruining my image in front of Xiao Yun. I’ve been telling Xiao Song to learn from me."
Yu Mengyao laughed and said, "Spare Xiao Song from your mischief. He is much better than you. If I hadn’t married you early, I would definitely have fallen for Xiao Song."
Zhou Yun’s expression showed envy at the right moment.
"I really hope Song Chi and I can have the same happiness as Brother Shen and sister-in-law in the future."
Yu Mengyao said, "You two will certainly be happier than us. Ah, we’ve been so caught up talking. Shall we eat? Do you want to add a couple more dishes?"
Zhou Yun asked, "Have you eaten, sister-in-law?"
Yu Mengyao replied, "I’ve already eaten."
"I’ve nearly finished eating," Zhou Yun said with a smile. "Sister-in-law, do you know where there is a supermarket nearby? I want to buy some stuff."
Yu Mengyao said, "It so happens that I need to go as well. I’ll take you with me."
Shen Yao: "Hey, hey, are you two just going to leave us behind?"
Yu Mengyao pouted and said, "Aren’t you guys having a meeting this evening? I’ll take Xiao Yun to buy some things. Surely you’re not interested in accompanying us ladies on a trip to the supermarket?"
Shen Yao quickly raised both hands in surrender and said, "I’ll pass on that, thank you."
Zhou Yun smiled happily.

Zhou Yun spent over an hour at the supermarket with Yu Mengyao, buying some ready-to-eat ingredients and some daily necessities.
Seeing Zhou Yun place these items into the basket, Yu Mengyao simply smiled and said, "A female celebrity who starts shopping for daily essentials as soon as she enters a project — you’re the first I’ve seen."
"I really like browsing supermarkets," said Zhou Yun.
"Young girls all enjoy supermarket outings," Yu Mengyao said with a smile, "but there comes a time when you can’t ignore getting older. I can’t manage it now."
"Sister-in-law, you’re joking, where are you near needing to ’get older’?" Zhou Yun said.
Yu Mengyao laughed, "I’m already in my forties — if that’s not old, then what is? Seeing all you young and beautiful girls, I’m quite envious."
"Not at all, young girls dream of reaching your age and having a glowing look like yours."
Yu Mengyao, holding Zhou Yun’s hand, said, "You’re so sweet with your words. No wonder Song Chi has been in the industry for so long without any scandals, and he was taken by you."
Zhou Yun blushed lightly.
"Not at all, we just ended up together out of the blue," Zhou Yun said. "I never expected it."
"A handsome man and a beautiful woman are a delight to the eye, well matched," Yu Mengyao caressed Zhou Yun’s hand and asked, "When are you planning to get married?"
"Ah? Get married? We haven’t planned that far ahead, it’s too soon to talk about these things."
"It’s not too soon, you know how many people in the circle have an eye on Xiao Song. Aren’t you afraid someone will snatch him away if you don’t settle down early?" Yu Mengyao asked.
Zhou Yun replied with a smile, "If he’s so easily snatched away, then let him be snatched away. I don’t care about that at all."
Yu Mengyao looked at her in astonishment.
Zhou Yun looped her arm through Yu Mengyao’s, saying, "Sister-in-law, with the great relationship you have with Brother Shen, I want to learn from you. Don’t find me annoying, please."
Yu Mengyao’s eyes filled with a smile, warm and endearing, "How could I? I get bored on the set with hardly anyone to talk to. Whenever you want to come see me, you’re always welcome."
"That’s wonderful."
