Chapter 1459: Chapter 1459: The First Initiative

Sylvan Cheney was moved.

Jasmine Yale’s small hand tugged at his sweater, trying to take off his clothes.

Deep in Sylvan Cheney’s eyes was an abyssal luster, like the night outside the window, deep and unfathomable.

Unable to remove his sweater, she could only resort to tugging at his belt.

This time, Sylvan Cheney did not stop her.

Jasmine Yale blushed; this was her first time initiating, and he was not at all helping, just watching the show.

Her small hands halted, not forgetting to ask, "Do you forgive me?"

"Depends on your performance."

Jasmine Yale’s face turned even redder, with determination, she pulled down his pants’ zipper...

The rain continued outside.

The sky was gloomy, yet the light in the living room was bright.

Soon, the air was filled with the sound of entangled breathing, rising and falling.

It’s unclear how much time passed, but Jasmine Yale was so tired she laid in his arms.

After tending to him, she didn’t want to move.

It was her first time initiating, and she was very tired, yet he was thoroughly enjoying it.

Exhausted and unable to lift her waist, she laid in his embrace, hooking her arms around his neck.

"If you don’t forgive me, I’ll stop talking to you," she panted, her voice light and airy.

"Jasmine Yale, if you dare to decide things on your own again, it won’t be this simple," he warned her.

"I know, I was wrong. Don’t be so fierce. Can you hold me and take me to shower? I’m so tired..."

Her soft and mushy voice echoed in his ear, and Sylvan Cheney found it hard to control himself.

In the end, he still carried her to the bathroom.

It was raining outside, and such a night was undoubtedly peaceful and serene.

Jasmine Yale didn’t dare to ask about the Cheney Family matters, not even one question.

She just had a vague concern in her heart.

Too tired, she fell asleep in the warm bathtub, letting Sylvan Cheney wash her.

"Exhausted like this," Sylvan Cheney said with disdain.

Jasmine Yale murmured sleepily, "You try..."

"I try? I’m the one who moves every night."

"You..." Offended by him, Jasmine’s face turned beet red, whether from the high temperature or something else.

Too weak to argue, she slept slackly, with the patter of rain in her ears, indistinctly heard.

It was a long while before Sylvan Cheney carried her to bed and brought her dinner.

Jasmine Yale leaned on a cushion: "You... feed me."

"Taking an inch and looking for a mile."

"Too tired."

Sylvan Cheney picked up a piece of lotus root cake for her; Jasmine Yale leaned in, bit down, her eyes gleaming with a smiling trace.

"What gift did you bring me tonight?" Her big eyes curved into crescents, sparkling with light again.

"Check it out for yourself tomorrow."

"If you don’t tell me, I won’t be able to sleep, really." Jasmine Yale cooed, "Tell me, just a little, I’m curious."

"Finish your meal, and I’ll show you."

"Mhm."

Sylvan Cheney fed her the meal, one bite at a time.

In this time, Jasmine Yale indeed had put on some weight and her complexion became rosy, unlike her emaciated look while in Cakago.

Perhaps due to hunger, Jasmine Yale ate quickly, finishing a bowl of rice in no time.

"Husband, it’s still early, let’s drive out and watch the rain," she suggested.

"Are you crazy?" Sylvan Cheney frowned, his voice deep and hoarse.

"Spring is coming, will you take me out to see the flowers when they bloom?"

"Mhm," Sylvan Cheney replied, "as long as you behave."

In an instant, Jasmine Yale’s spirits lifted.

Sometimes, his promises could keep her happy for a long time, yet she never considered... if they would ever be fulfilled.
