Chapter 1454: Chapter 1454: Traces of Last Night

It seemed as if the scene of a school appeared before her eyes, a visage she was unfamiliar with…

Lilac Serval lay on the sofa, her right hand tightly clutching her phone, her knuckles turning white.

“Sister Lilac, why aren’t you speaking? Where are you? I’ll come to see you after my event is over.”

“No need, I’m a bit busy.”

“Alright, then I’ll bring you breakfast tomorrow. There’s a breakfast shop near our school that makes really delicious scallion pancakes. I’ll bring you some, and is there anything else you want to eat?”

“Just bring that to me tomorrow morning, and for the rest… a cup of hot milk will do.”

“Mhm!” Timmy nodded happily, “Then, Sister Lilac, get some rest early, don’t go to the bar.”

“Okay…”

Timmy seemed to be in a good mood, his words brimming with exuberance.

The corners of Lilac Serval’s mouth lifted slightly; she was a person who naturally didn’t talk much, and she enjoyed listening to him chatter on most of the time.

This was enough for her.

She didn’t know how much time had passed before Timmy finally hung up the phone.

She too tossed the phone aside, buried her head in the sofa, her messy hair clinging tightly to her face, quite uncomfortable.

The area around her heart felt numb as if devoid of sensation, indifferent to warmth or cold.

Perhaps… the heart was gone.

The night was vast, chirps of winter insects, oblivious to the warmth of daylight.

Early the next morning.

When Sylvan Cheney got up, Jasmine Yale also rose from bed.

He bent over, pressing down on her shoulders, his voice husky: “Not sleeping a bit longer? The weather isn’t that good today.”

“I won’t sleep anymore, there’s no one to sleep with if you’re not here.”

Jasmine Yale deftly took the tie from his hand and tied it for him.

She wore a loose, light-purple silk robe that slipped off her shoulder at the slightest move, revealing her snow-white skin.

The marks from last night still lingered on her shoulders and neck, red kiss marks.

Sylvan Cheney swallowed, reaching out to adjust her robe.

If she kept tempting him like this, he wouldn’t be able to control himself.

Jasmine Yale hadn’t noticed, ever since Lilac Serval left yesterday, her thoughts lingered on that particular medication.

There were opportunities to drug, but…

Traces of vagueness flitted across Jasmine Yale’s eyes.

After getting dressed and freshening up, Sylvan Cheney went downstairs.

Jasmine Yale changed her clothes as well.

“I’ll go to the kitchen and make some coffee for you.” Jasmine Yale spoke first, a candy jar pocketed inside her coat, within it the white pill.

On days she didn’t oversleep, she always made him breakfast, ground coffee.

She too wanted to hold on to such tranquility and peace forever.

Jasmine Yale chose a portion of Mandheling and carefully ground it for him.

Amidst her daze, her gaze always seemed uncertain.

Unexpectedly, at some point, her waist was embraced, Sylvan Cheney had come up behind her!

His hands circled around her waist, gently caressing, his cool lips grazing Jasmine Yale’s cheek.

“Jasmine Yale, you’ve been restless since yesterday,” his deep voice resonated in her ear like a gong.

Jasmine Yale was startled, her hand shook, and she almost spilled the coffee.

Just as she was about to speak, Sylvan Cheney’s hand slid from her waist to the pocket of her coat.

With a gentle flick, he took out the small candy jar.

Panic flickered across Jasmine Yale’s face, but calmly she said: “I’ve been quite fond of sweets lately, would you like to try one?”

“Jasmine Yale, what have I told you, hm?” He didn’t open the candy jar; instead, he kissed her earlobe, biting it softly.
