Chapter 1443: Chapter 1443: Kissed Her on the Lips

Jasmine Yale thought about it, indeed she had given him three scarves.

One was from a long time ago, the first birthday gift she gave him, a scarf she knitted with her own hands.

Does he still keep it?

“It’s beautiful. How come I never knew you were so capable?” Sylvan Cheney squinted his eyes looking at her on the bed.

Being complimented by him, Jasmine’s face blushed a red, and she said in a small, ashamed voice, “It’s okay, I’m not that skillful, there’s a lot I can’t do.”

“Hmm, as long as I… can do it, that’s good enough.”

“…” Jasmine blushed even more; she grabbed the pillow and threw it at him, “Why are you so annoying!”

Sylvan Cheney strode over with his long legs and bent down to clasp her hand.

Fingers entwined, brimming with tender affection.

“Don’t like it?” he raised an eyebrow.

Jasmine: “…”

He always said she was enticing, Jasmine thought, but he was the truly enticing one, having hooked her soul so much she almost lost her wits, both body and mind following him.

Remembering the deep affection on the rooftop just now, Jasmine’s face reddened some more.

Her eyes fell on his strong waist and sexy abdominal muscles, and she swallowed hard.

She felt that this time they came back, both she and he were a bit… shameless.

He leaned down and kissed her lips.

Her lips were very soft, his body tightened again.

“Go on with your work, just remember to come back.” Jasmine said.

Jasmine let go of his hand, though reluctantly.

These days she felt increasingly clingy to him, she cared about this feeling, yet feared it too.

She feared what to do if one day he no longer wanted her.

She closed her eyes, not daring to think.

It will never happen, he will surely want her, right?

After Sylvan Cheney left, Jasmine sat quietly alone on the bed.

When alone and quiet, it’s easy to let thoughts run wild; to avoid this, she got down from the bed and went to the kitchen to make him a nighttime snack.

She wasn’t great at cooking, but she could boil some simple things.

She wanted to make him some sesame-filled glutinous rice balls.

She remembered he liked them.

The kitchen had everything. She didn’t make too much, just a simple portion for two.

Standing at the door of the study, Jasmine held the tray and knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

She opened the door, peeked her head in with a smile, “Are you hungry? I made some glutinous rice balls for you, want some?”

Sylvan Cheney stopped his work and stood up to help her with the tray.

“Can’t sleep?”

“Yeah.” She nodded, “Am I disturbing you?”

“Not at all.”

Before, she would often sit in his study; when he worked, she would read, do homework, or just daydream by his side.

He wouldn’t send her away; it seemed he was used to it.

Most of the documents on his desk were in English, Jasmine furrowed her brows, was he managing overseas companies? Or dealing in foreign trade?

“Let’s eat together.” Sylvan sat down with her at a nearby table.

The sesame-filled glutinous rice balls were fragrant, and soon the study was filled with their steaming warmth.

Jasmine took a bite of the rice ball, her eyes burning as she gazed at his face, filled with a sweetness that couldn’t be dissolved.

Just like the rice balls, each bite was sweet.

Jasmine’s long hair was tied with a light blue silk ribbon, adding a touch of elegance and gentleness.

Jasmine always thought, this is probably the feeling of home.

Only, she wished for one or two children to run around them.

The night was deep, the quiet study brimming with coziness.

There was no one else here, just the two of them.
