Chapter 1766: Chapter 1766: I Called You Over!

Jian Yufei treated the child opposite her as if it were her own. The love in her eyes was genuine, and her smile came from the heart.

The little fellow was a very sensitive person.

He quickly deduced that this person posed no harm to him.

Once the alarm of danger was lifted, he lowered his defenses around her.

He rushed over, grabbed the bun, and ate it in a few bites.

Jian Yufei quickly twisted open the bottle cap, handed him the water, he took it and drank, then tossed the bottle aside, climbed back up, and showed not a hint of curiosity towards her from start to finish.

Jian Yufei wanted to learn a little more about him, but his eyes were only on the food.

It seemed that to get closer to him, she could only start with food.

Speaking of food, Jian Yufei felt hungry.

In three days, she had only eaten two buns; she was truly starving.

But it’s okay, she could hold on.

************

Mo Lan drank a bowl of traditional medicine brewed by the servant and planned to take a walk in the garden.

Recently, she loved going to the garden and would go for a walk whether or not she had something to do.

As she rose to leave, Qi Ruigang walked in from outside.

Seeing him, Mo Lan only gave him a casual glance.

Qi Ruigang sat on the sofa with a sly smile, crossing one leg over the other.

“Sit down, I have something to tell you.”

“I don’t have time.” Mo Lan said, intending to head outside, but Qi Ruigang said coldly: “Even about Nangong Yufei, you won’t listen?”

“What’s happened to Yufei?” Mo Lan turned to ask.

“Of course, she’s in trouble.”

“In what trouble?!” Wasn’t she back in A City, what could have happened?

Qi Ruigang lazily stretched his arms: “Worked all day, I’m tired. Go make me a cup of tea first.”

Mo Lan knew, if she didn’t satisfy him, he wouldn’t tell her the truth.

Now she couldn’t contact anyone outside; she had to get information from him.

Mo Lan calmly went to the kitchen to brew a cup of the oolong tea he loved.

Qi Ruigang took the teacup, sipped, and showed a satisfied expression.

“Lanlan, your tea is the best.”

“So what happened to Yufei?” Mo Lan was not in the mood for his nonsense.

Qi Ruigang put down the cup and asked instead: “After taking the traditional medicine for a while, how do you feel now?”

She had been drinking the herbal medicine for half a month.

Today was the last day of it.

Didn’t Mo Lan know him? He’d surely use this to threaten her to continue drinking it.

“I don’t know.”

“What do you mean by ‘I don’t know’?” Qi Ruigang raised an eyebrow, then suddenly realized, “Haven’t you tried? Come over, let me test it.”

“I’ve made your tea, now you should tell the truth. What’s happened to Yufei?” Mo Lan said impatiently.

Qi Ruigang squinted: “Come here first.”

“Have you had enough?! Stop using these things to threaten me. If you want to talk, say it quickly, if not, forget it!”

“I told you to come here!” Qi Ruigang was also displeased.

Mo Lan directly headed upstairs, ignoring him.

She pushed open the bedroom door, just about to close it behind her, when Qi Ruigang suddenly blocked the door and squeezed in.

Mo Lan warily stepped back a few steps, Qi Ruigang’s eyes dark and burning, exuding a dangerous air as he stared at her.

Mo Lan regretted going upstairs; she should have gone outside, to the garden.

“Move, I’m going out for a walk.” She said coldly.

Qi Ruigang took a step towards her, and Mo Lan became fully alert, “What are you going to do?!”
