Chapter 2403: Gold Feathered Serpent.
The god of death blocked the god of justice. As one of the gods who doesn’t fear death, he is one of the few gods who dares to fight the god of justice face-to-face.
The rest of the gods can only use schemes and tricks. They don’t dare to appear in front of the god of justice for fear of dying.
The god of death was a giant feathered serpent with scales of gold, flesh that had been turned into bone, and black feathers made entirely of ghostly energy.
The god of death also had two large wings made of black flowing water. There were wailing souls of people and animals in the black wings.
On the other side, the god of justice was a humanoid glass lamp with fire burning within him.
The face of the god of justice lacked any mouth and nose. He also didn’t have any ears. But he possessed three eyes.
Two of his eyes were his normal eyes. The third one on his forehead was the authority of his pathway called the Star of Purification.
The god of justice didn’t have any mouth, but he could speak. He said to the god of death and to every god watching, "You’re all fools. This is not a disaster for only me. You have doomed the world."
He was right, but the god of death didn’t care. The golden snake said idly, "If there is a new god of killing, won’t you be there to kill it again and save the world?"
The god of justice said with anger, "I hope this was worth it and he is paying you well for this."
The god of death replied, "That’s my business, not yours. What you have to do now is give up the authority of the pathway of knights or pay me to leave you alone."
Then it asked, "So what will it be?"
The god of justice didn’t reply. Instead, he just sighed and remained still. He didn’t try to fight to reclaim the Ocean of Blood anymore.
The god of death saw this and smirked. Then it said with amusement, "Don’t be greedy. Choose one between the Ocean of Blood and the Blade of Men."
After seeing that the god of justice didn’t want to fight, he didn’t start the fight either. After all, he didn’t want to die if he could avoid it.
The main reason that the god of justice is powerful is because he can leverage all the crime that his enemies have committed against them. So anyone who is evil is likely to lose and die while fighting him.
Only someone who has conquered death doesn’t mind fighting him and dying. But resurrection is still difficult and expensive. So if the god of justice doesn’t want to fight, the god of death won’t press him.
His job is to hold back the god of justice, and he is doing that nicely. Meanwhile, the god of illusion used the time that the god of justice was being held back to make most of the world forget about the Ocean of Blood.
The god of illusion possesses the authority of the pathway called Mirror World. This is an artifact that shows the state of the the world.
One of the abilities that the Mirror of the World grants the God of illusion is the power to make objects and concepts in the world dissappear by turning those objects or concepts in the mirror into a false state of existence.
So the Mirror of the World is not like ordinary mirrors which simply reflects the world. Its wielder can use the mirror to reflect what they want into the world.
In this case, she had used the Mirror of the World to hide the memory and knowledge of the Ocean of Blood from everyone’s minds.
Very few people could break through the effect of this ability. For many people, including the god of justice, they forgot that the Ocean of Blood existed.
Only a few people remembered that the Ocean of Blood existed. One of them was the god of nobles, who was orchestrating all of this; the god of knowledge, who was watching by the side; the god of darkness, who used the divine ability; and the god of space.
The god of space is also known as the god of walkers. He is still aware of the existence of the Ocean of Blood because the god of nobles wanted him to know and send the Ocean of Blood away.
10 minutes isn’t enough time for the Ocean of Blood to go far after being freed from its seal. Fortunately, there is the god of space, who has been paid to send the Ocean of Blood far away so that the god of justice won’t be able to find it after the 10 minutes are over.
All of this was planned by the god of nobles. He didn’t do it just because he hated the god of justice. He did it because he wanted the authority of the pathway of knights called the Blade of Men.
The god of nobles needs the Blade of Men to grow stronger, but the god of justice refused to give it to him even though he isn’t using it anymore. Hence this showdown.
So the god of nobles decided to force the god of justice to give him what he wanted. Their plan worked in a way. The Ocean of Blood disappeared out of sight and out of mind.
After 10 minutes, the god of nobles withdrew his law instead of renewing it. The god of darkness also withdrew his influence over the memory of the Ocean of Blood.
At this time, it was too late to go looking for the Ocean of Blood. One can imagine that the god of justice was very angry about this.
The god of justice was so angry that he began to laugh. He laughed so hard that the spiritual dimension that he was in began to shake and quake.
