Chapter 14 Little Ren Learns to Drive

Lin Feng and the other two flung these words behind them and left with their heads held high.

Seeing the three figures disappear into the distance, Ren Yuanhao finally breathed a sigh of relief, thinking to himself that acting cool and showing off, while seeming simple, was actually a physically demanding task. Just maintaining a tense posture had left him drenched in sweat.

"Yuanhao, thank you. I know you did this purely to save face for me, but..."

Zhang Yingfang hugged the Koenigsegg, her delicate brows furrowed, her chest rising and falling with the rhythm of her breathing. She then thought that Ren Yuanhao, assigned to her as a boyfriend by Didi Zhuodan, was perhaps all just a dream. Once the dream ended, everything would vanish like smoke.

"Yingfang, I can't stand seeing a woman bullied in this life. Moreover, I've always wanted to try what racing feels like."

Ren Yuanhao, unaware of her thoughts, assumed her frown was due to the race and didn't realize that this woman before him was already falling for him.

"But I really can't touch the steering wheel anymore. I even, even hate the damn engine sound, the noise of burning tires, and the acrid smell of rubber scorching the ground."

"Isn't racing etched into your very bones?"

Ren Yuanhao placed his hands on her shoulders, his eyes seeming to reflect the starlight. "The expression you had when you saw this Koenigsegg just now is enough to prove that, in your heart, racing will always occupy the most important place."

This red Koenigsegg, the Agera, was just like its name, a fiery red rose, its fragrance sharp as the wind rushed by.

"This time, not only will you be my teacher, but I also want you to be my navigator. I believe only you can present the North Elephant Mountain circuit to me, completely and perfectly."

About twenty minutes later, the two returned to a secluded garage in the residential complex.

The garage was quite luxuriously built, but in Ren Yuanhao's memory, it seemed no one had ever opened it.

"What's the mystery here?"

Ren Yuanhao was naturally puzzled by Zhang Yingfang's purpose in bringing him here. In his understanding, if he was there to learn, they should have gone straight to the racing track.

"Ordinary racers, or rookies, usually choose race cars with higher cost, power, and chassis for practice, but this method will affect a racer's upper limit."

Zhang Yingfang's voice trembled with an indescribable excitement, simultaneously piquing Ren Yuanhao's interest.

Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the trees, casting slanting rays into the garage, where a fiery red Citroën C4 appeared in the dim space.

Ren Yuanhao, bewildered, circled the Citroën C4 again and again, completely unaware of its significance. Seeing this, Zhang Yingfang smiled and gave him a simple introduction to its general knowledge.

"Vehicles participating in rally races must be prototype sedans produced in quantities exceeding 2500 units annually by the respective car manufacturers. This C4, in terms of chassis tuning, suspension, displacement, and sturdiness, is top-notch."

Ren Yuanhao, being a commoner, still perceived cars as simply having four wheels and a chassis.

To avoid appearing ignorant, he nodded after each of Zhang Yingfang's explanations, indicating that he was slightly grasping the basics.

Just as he was about to respond, a cold system prompt flashed in his mind: "Beep beep beep, system detects that the employer's mood is excited. You can cater to this interest to increase the probability of a good review."

"Beep beep beep, you have temporarily gained access to a knowledge base on car modification, valid for 10 minutes."
