Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Who Is She
Isabella Weaver had a rare day of leisure and relaxation today.
She draped a cardigan over herself and strolled in the Garden Estate, breathing in the fresh air, watching the gardeners tidy up, occasionally taking a phone call and replying to messages.
She was preparing to start work at a jewelry company they had previously agreed upon in a few days.
She found it strange why the people from Moonlight Jewelry suddenly stopped contacting her, just as she received a call from the secretary of the president.
The secretary pleaded, "Miss Weaver, although this request might not be very reasonable, I still want to ask you to come and accompany our president. She has been in a coma since leaving the club that day, and might be about to..."
The secretary couldn’t continue, and Isabella felt a sudden inexplicable pain in her heart.
Without even thinking, she asked immediately, "Which hospital? I’ll go see her!"
"Wonderful, thank you, Miss Weaver!"
"You’re too kind. She was a close friend of my late mother, almost like an elder to me, of course I should go."
Isabella actually felt that she hadn’t had enough of the conversation with the elder that day, wanting to ask more about her mother, and luckily she left due to illness in time, otherwise she too would have been caught in that explosion.
She took a taxi to the hospital and saw the president lying on the hospital bed.
The president’s face was as white as the sheets. The last time they met, the president was wearing makeup, but today she had none, and Isabella could see the light scars on her face, neck, and even behind her ears.
Had this president experienced some sort of major accident?
Isabella was stunned, suddenly hearing the president whisper weakly, "Isabella... Isabella..."
She was utterly astonished, looking towards the secretary.
"Miss Weaver, no need to be surprised. The president is indeed calling your name. She’s been doing so every day during her coma, which is why I had the audacity to disturb you, hoping your presence might awaken her."
Isabella’s doubts grew heavier. She always felt that everything about this president’s words and actions seemed peculiar.
She had only met the president once, why was the president, so gravely ill, repeatedly calling her name while unconscious?
"I also hope she wakes up. But doesn’t your president have any family or children? Why hasn’t anyone come to accompany her?"
"The president prefers peace. Her husband is busy managing overseas company affairs and came and went quickly. She has no children, only Miss Lewis as an adopted daughter, but she..." She was sent to prison by your husband!
Isabella remained silent for a long time: "Then I’ll accompany her, anyway, I don’t have much going on in the next few days."
The secretary was overjoyed: "Then it’s very kind of you!"
Isabella accompanied for three consecutive days.
The president continued calling her name, but as long as Isabella held her hand, she would miraculously calm down.
On the fourth day, Isabella’s enormous doubts could no longer be suppressed, and a nearly crazy idea formed in her head!
She returned to the Weaver Family and met Christopher Weaver.
Christopher had been recovering well these days, and his injuries were almost healed.
Seeing Isabella, he was a bit surprised: "You actually remember your home? I told them you definitely hadn’t disappeared. Alexander Parker is running around looking for people everywhere, acting like it’s real!"
Ella Weaver leaned close, her eyes full of hatred: "How dare you come back?! Look at my hand! You ruined them!"
The palms of her hands were covered in scars. Being someone who cherished beauty, each time she saw her hands so monstrously ugly, she felt like killing Isabella!
