Chapter 256: Discrimination Against Single Dogs

Chapter 256: Chapter 256: Discrimination Against Single Dogs

Harry Hunter looked coldly at Johan Niles; how had he not realized before how troublesome this younger brother could be!

Johan Niles didn’t know what he had done to offend the boss again, so he tried to curry favor by picking up a chicken wing and putting it in Harry Hunter’s bowl: "Boss, have some chicken!"

Harry Hunter disdainfully picked it back out.

Johan Niles chuckled: "Did you see that, Connor, the boss is giving me food!"

Connor was not to be outdone: "Young Master, I want some too!"

Harry Hunter shot him a sharp look, and Connor immediately bowed his head, meekly picking up a chicken wing.

Johan Niles happily ate the chicken wing.

Cora Ginger: ???

Weren’t we supposed to not eat things picked by others?!

The atmosphere at the dining table was weird yet cheerful. Harry Hunter took a sip of soup, intending to have a chicken wing, but found the plate empty!

Three foodies on the other side!

None of them thought to leave any for him!

Isabella Weaver was amused seeing Harry Hunter’s cold face as he withdrew his chopsticks, and she picked up her bowl’s chicken wing and handed it to him: "Here, eat!"

The coldness on Harry Hunter’s face rapidly melted away as he ate the chicken wing given by Isabella Weaver, feeling quite pleased: As expected, his wife was the best!

He picked up a piece of sparerib for Isabella Weaver, casually glancing at the three people across fighting over the last piece of sweet and sour spareribs, his gaze full of disdain: As expected, the single dogs, humph!

Cora Ginger: "You two grown men, can’t you let me, a gentle, cute, beautiful, and kind girl, have it?"

Johan Niles: "You might have some misunderstanding about your looks. I’m doing it for your sake; this piece of sparerib has 101 calories, requiring 69.7 minutes of walking to burn off. If not burnt off, you’ll gain weight and become ugly. Let me take on this burden for you!"

Connor: "I’d like to take on this burden too."

Johan Niles: "You’ve already taken on enough, good brother, let me have this one!"

...

After lunch was over, Johan Niles, stroking his belly, lay on the sofa, and sighed contentedly: "Haven’t eaten this full in a long time, it’s so blissful!"

Cora Ginger rudely kicked him out: "I want to nap, hurry up and leave! My place is small!"

Johan Niles reluctantly got up: "Little girl really holds a grudge! Young Master Hunter, remember to take your medicine in half an hour!"

Harry Hunter: "I’m not sick."

"All sick people say that."

Johan Niles shook his head helplessly, knowing that Isabella Weaver would surely remind Harry Hunter to take it, waved his hand, and left.

After he left, Harry Hunter took Isabella Weaver back to the villa.

Connor stayed to clean up Isabella Weaver’s things.

Cora Ginger lay sprawled on the sofa, asking Connor: "Is your brother Doctor Niles rich?"

"Very poor."

"No way, I saw him wearing a Vacheron Constantin Tourbillon, it’s worth two million!"

"Still poor."

"What does his family do?"

"Ordinary citizens."

"Really? He has such a good demeanor, feels like a noble, surely not from a normal family!"

"Not a noble."

"Does he have any family members, siblings?"

"Whose family doesn’t have siblings, he’s just like a regular person."

Cora Ginger was exasperated!

This guy seemed easygoing with a smile, but turns out he’s so tight-lipped!

She couldn’t get anything out of him!

Connor swiftly packed up and dragged two suitcases out, still not forgetting to smile and say goodbye to Cora Ginger: "Thanks for your hospitality, goodbye!"

Cora Ginger waved absent-mindedly: "Goodbye!"

The door closed, the rain drizzling outside, she thought sorrowfully, once again failed to cling to someone powerful.

Johan Niles seemed completely uninterested in her.

Could it be she was destined to have no connection with money?

Yawn, feeling a bit sleepy.

Forget it, don’t want to think about money, just ate, should take a nap.

Days without work are truly blissful!
