Lily had always been used to seeing Skye Brown as cheerful and energetic; even during her amnesia, Skye remained optimistic.

She was supposed to be advising Skye not to cry, but instead, she couldn’t help crying herself.
“Lily, it’s my fault, I was just too willful…” Skye buried her head in Lily’s embrace, not having a chance to observe her surroundings.
She just had so much bitterness and grievances to share with her best friend.
“If I hadn’t sneakily come to Europe to find you, I wouldn’t have encountered the accident. If I hadn’t been so confident in my abilities and acted recklessly, my baby… my baby wouldn’t have been lost…”
“Lily, I… I really am not a qualified mother. Lily, my child, my baby will never come back…”
Skye had so many tears, so many grievances.

Skye cried her heart out, while Lily held her to comfort her while secretly signaling Roger Chamberlain with her eyes.
Both of them picked up something odd from Skye’s words.
It seemed from Skye’s words that she had gone back to eight months ago, when she first arrived in Europe pregnant.
From her words, it appeared she thought she had been injured in that kidnapping, and the child was lost too.
Although Skye was heartbroken, she was not a person of weak character.
Seeing her best friend momentarily excited and crying, she somewhat relieved her pent-up emotions.
Plus, having not eaten for a long time and crying so much, her body gradually felt exhausted.
Seeing her stop crying, Lily cooed, “Skye, you rest well now. I’ll have the doctor come in and check on you again. No matter what happens, rest assured, I’m always by your side. Once you’ve rested, we can talk slowly.”

But Skye didn’t have the capacity to appreciate his demeanor and appearance at the moment.
She just glanced faintly at Roger Chamberlain and said in a very formal tone, “Mr. Chamberlain, you’re too kind. I was just doing what was right.”
