Chapter 734 The Tug-of-War

Feng Feng witnessed Shen Su's action but didn't expose it, pretending not to know and casually asked him, "Drinking or water?"

Shen Su's gaze swept across the bar in Feng Feng's living room. He was very familiar with that area; they used to drink there often. Seeing an opened bottle of red wine on the counter, he smiled and said, "Let's have some wine."

With that, he walked towards the bar, and Feng Feng followed, taking a wine glass from the small sterilizer and pouring him half a glass.

Shen Su took it and said, "Thank you."

Feng Feng sat beside him, remaining silent.

Shen Su savored the red wine, his eyes scanning the room. It was almost identical to his previous visits, with a few oil paintings added to the walls for decoration, but no other new items.

After a few minutes, Shen Su remarked, "The oil paintings on the wall are quite nice. Where did you buy them?"

Feng Feng also looked over and replied faintly, "I'm not too sure. Li Yue bought them."

Her answer was unhurried, and her demeanor was calm, showing no discomfort in mentioning her ex-boyfriend, Li Yue, in front of Shen Su.

Shen Su chuckled, "Is that so? I didn't realize he had such artistic taste."

Feng Feng agreed, "Li Yue indeed does. His aesthetic sense is very good, and he's a very romantic person."

This was a sincere compliment, tinged with a hint of probing. Feng Feng possessed excellent composure; even someone like Shen Su couldn't discern her true intentions behind these words.

Shen Su swirled his wine glass and turned to look at Feng Feng, his eyes narrowing slightly as he stared at her, his gaze unwavering for a long time.

Feng Feng met his gaze calmly, "Is there something on my face?"

Shen Su smiled and shook his head, "There's a hint of nostalgia for an ex-boyfriend."

Feng Feng retorted, "Do you still mind that?"

Shen Su took a sip of red wine, "President Feng really hasn't pursued anyone before. Praising an ex-boyfriend in front of the man you're pursuing is a sign of low emotional intelligence."

Feng Feng was unfazed, "Is that so? If the person I'm pursuing doesn't care, then it doesn't matter."

As soon as she finished speaking, Shen Su suddenly raised his hand. His dry fingertips touched her neck, sliding slowly. The light from the overhead lamp illuminated her skin, making it glow as if she were a siren.

"I can only say, you've underestimated men's primal instincts," Shen Su's fingers finally stopped at her collarbone, tapping lightly.

Feng Feng lowered her eyes, her gaze sweeping over his fingers, "Then, if I were to praise Li Yue's stamina as better than yours, would that hit a nerve?"

As expected, the next second, Shen Su's fingers moved down from her collarbone, and he pulled her forward with his other hand, then pressed his hand against the back of her head.

Their distance suddenly closed, their lips mere millimeters from touching. Even at such close proximity, Feng Feng looked at him calmly, uttering a provocative statement in the most indifferent tone, "He's younger than you, that's only natural."

Shen Su let out a soft laugh, a hint of danger in his tone. He pressed his lips against hers, "Have you done it here before?"

Feng Feng replied, "It's meaningless to ask what you already know."

Shen Su: "You're right. Asking is meaningless. It's better to just do it. President Feng, turn around and get on your knees."

As he spoke, he patted her waist. This was a familiar little gesture between them; whenever he did it, she knew what to do next.

However, this time, Feng Feng did not cooperate. Instead, under his gaze, she walked around the bar.

Shen Su was clearly not expecting her to do this. Such an unpredictable move made him narrow his eyes again.

Under Shen Su's watchful eyes, Feng Feng adjusted the strap of her pajamas and casually said, "You've been here for half an hour, haven't you? It's getting late. Drive carefully on your way back."

Shen Su pressed his tongue heavily against his teeth, licking them. At this moment, he finally realized he had been played by Feng Feng.

All his emotions turned into a smile. He finished the rest of his wine, stood up, walked in front of Feng Feng, and gently patted her shoulder, "Rest well, goodnight."

After Feng Feng saw Shen Su off, she recalled his expression just now and let out a soft laugh.

How could someone as intelligent as him not realize he had been toyed with? Although he tried his best to maintain his composure, his parting words, uttered through gritted teeth, revealed his displeasure.

Feng Feng wasn't sure if his displeasure stemmed from her having stirred up his desires but refused to act on them, or if it was because she had repeatedly mentioned Li Yue and praised his virtues.

In any case, she had successfully annoyed Shen Su, effectively retaliating for the unpleasantness of seeing him dining with another woman at the restaurant that evening.

This tactic was taught to her by Lan Lan. Feng Feng was an excellent student. After Lan Lan had said those things to her, she realized that many of the dynamics and negotiations in relationships were similar to her usual work negotiations.

Retreating to advance, playing hard to get, taking one step forward and three steps back, and never letting the opponent figure out what you're thinking gave one the capital to withdraw unscathed.

Shen Su descended the stairs in a fiery mood. On his drive home, his muscles were tense. The desire ignited in his lower abdomen hadn't subsided despite Feng Feng's dousing with cold water; instead, it was escalating, especially when he recalled Feng Feng's praise for Li Yue.

Shen Su knew very well that she was doing it on purpose, and even knowing that, he couldn't control himself.

Scenes he had heard and seen in the past flashed through his mind, as did his dreams.

Upon arriving home, Shen Su changed into his slippers and went straight to the upstairs bathroom. By the time he emerged, it was already midnight.

He vowed to get even with Feng Feng next time, demanding not just what was owed but even more.

After that encounter on Friday night, Feng Feng probably guessed that Shen Su was not having an easy time. However, she didn't contact him proactively, and Shen Su also had the patience to wait. An entire Saturday passed without him sending her a single message.

On Saturday evening, Feng Feng received a WeChat message from Lin Mei, inviting her over for dinner.

Feng Feng had no other plans, so she accepted and tidied herself up before heading out.

Feng Feng tended to dress casually for gatherings with friends. Coincidentally, she had done yoga that afternoon, so she left wearing yoga pants and a fitted sports jacket, without even wearing heels.

At seven o'clock, Feng Feng's car stopped in front of the Zhuhua Villa. As soon as she got out, she saw Shen Su's car parked not far away.

Lin Mei hadn't mentioned that Shen Su would also be attending when she invited Feng Feng. However, this wasn't something to be surprised about, given his friendship with Xing Zheng.

Feng Feng took a few steps forward with her bag, only to run into Shen Su as he got out of his car.

Feng Feng had assumed Shen Su had already gone inside and was surprised to run into him like this. A flicker of astonishment crossed her face, "You're here too."

Shen Su remained silent, his gaze fixed on her, slowly moving from her face downwards. The outfit she was wearing today perfectly accentuated her figure, especially the curve of her hips.

As he watched, Shen Su began to approach her.
