Tian Nan Lan

Chapter 479 The Automatic End

Lan Lan was not interested in fawning over someone who was clearly not receptive. She turned and was about to leave when, in a flash, he grabbed her arm and yanked her back.

Lan Lan frowned. The scoundrel’s grip was too strong, leaving red marks on her arm. “Let go!”

She had intended to offer him well wishes in a pleasant manner. Not only did he not appreciate it, but he also resorted to violence. She couldn’t blame herself for not being polite in return.

“Don’t you have anything to ask me?” Liang Yufeng pulled Lan Lan into a nearby dressing room and closed the door. Lan Lan found herself pinned against the door, his tall frame pressing against her without any gaps, exuding an immense sense of pressure.

“Ask?” Lan Lan indeed retorted, “Ask what?”

“Then I’ll ask you,” Liang Yufeng’s tiger-like grip clamped onto her chin, “Why did you take everything away?”

When he returned home that morning, he had found her wardrobe in the master bedroom completely empty. The skincare and makeup in the bathroom had also been packed away. The vanity table prepared for her was spotlessly clean, devoid of anything. Seeing these scenes, the suppressed emotions in his heart finally erupted.

Lan Lan, however, did not understand his anger. “What else? Leave them there for your fiancée to see, make her uncomfortable, and cause her to argue with you?”

She wouldn’t consider herself a good person, but she wasn’t so wicked as to do something like that. Liang Yufeng’s fiancée appeared innocent and harmless; she couldn’t withstand such a blow. Besides, she had no interest in doing so.

“I haven’t said we’re finished,” Liang Yufeng emphasized.

“Didn’t we agree that if either of us had a boyfriend or girlfriend, it would automatically end?” Lan Lan said. “Your fiancée is a very simple girl, and you two are quite well-matched.”

Liang Yufeng was silent for a moment, then let out a strange laugh. His expression was also terrifying as he tore off Lan Lan’s dress.

The man’s cool lips pressed against her shoulder. Suddenly, like a vampire, he bared his fangs and bit down fiercely. With a single bite, blood appeared.

Lan Lan tried to push him away, yelling, “Are you a mad dog?!”

“I never said I would let you go,” he licked the blood from his lips, like an insatiable beast.

The next moment, Lan Lan heard the sound of his belt buckle being undone. “What’s between you and me isn’t decided by you.”

Lan Lan didn’t object to being intimate with him, but certainly not under these circumstances. For the first time, she wanted to describe Liang Yufeng as a “scumbag.”

Last night he was entwined with his fiancée, today he brought his fiancée to show off their affection publicly, and now he was forcing himself on her behind everyone’s backs. She truly saw all of his shameless traits come into play.

Lan Lan was not weak, but in front of Liang Yufeng, her strength was like a single drop of water in the ocean. Her resistance was all resolved by him, and she was flipped over and pinned down again, enduring his inexplicable rage.

When it was over, Liang Yufeng remained impeccably dressed. Except for his unusually bloodshot eyes, there was almost no sign of what had happened. She, on the other hand, had a disheveled appearance and a wrinkled dress. Anyone who saw her outside would notice her disarray.

Before leaving, Liang Yufeng did not forget to warn her, “I won’t let you go.”

“You have no right to say it’s over, unless I’m tired of it.”

The implication was that even with his fiancée, he wouldn’t let go of her, the one he had slept with. This was clearly treating her as a mere outlet for his desires.

As Liang Yufeng emerged from the dressing room, he encountered Gu Xiao. Their eyes met, and Gu Xiao naturally noticed the lingering desire in Liang Yufeng’s eyes. As men, how could he not understand that look?

Liang Yufeng’s gaze towards Gu Xiao was not friendly. Gu Xiao, however, was unconcerned and smiled at him, “I came to find Lan Lan.”

Liang Yufeng ignored him and turned to leave.

Despite his words, Gu Xiao did not knock to urge Lan Lan. He waited outside the door for another ten minutes. Only after Lan Lan came out did he ask her, “Are you alright?”

His question implied that he already knew what had just happened. Lan Lan shook her head, “It’s nothing, but I’m not happy.”

“He’s unwilling to end it?” Gu Xiao guessed.

“Yes,” Lan Lan said, “But I won’t play with him anymore.”

This time, she would break up with him at all costs.

Gu Xiao saw Lan Lan’s determination and told her, “Yes, I’ll help you.”

Lan Lan pondered for a moment and realized how little she knew about Liang Yufeng. She then said to Gu Xiao, “Help me investigate the Xu family.”

From Liang Yufeng’s phone calls with Xu Zhengxi on several occasions, she could tell that Liang Yufeng’s relationship with the Xu family was not good. She heard that Xu Zhengxi had several sons. If she could find a breakthrough from the Xu family to make Liang Yufeng separate from her, it would be ideal.

To make him completely detest her and let go, she would have to target his most sensitive point.

Investigating the Xu family was not difficult for Gu Xiao. The next day, while Lan Lan and Gu Xiao were out walking their dog, Gu Xiao shared the information he had found with Lan Lan.

Gu Xiao said that besides Liang Yufeng, Xu Zhengxi had two other sons. By age, Liang Yufeng should be the second. The eldest was Xu Zhouyue, and the youngest was Xu Zhou Ran.

Neither Xu Zhouyue nor Xu Zhou Ran met Xu Zhengxi’s requirements for a perfect heir, which was why Xu Zhengxi had brought Liang Yufeng, who was abroad, back.

Xu Zhouyue was currently managing a subsidiary of the Hetao Holdings, which was his maternal family’s business. The Zhou Group was not small in scale, but it couldn’t compare to Liang Yufeng. Xu Zhou Ran was still in college, and his mind was not on business; he spent his days playing games. Xu Zhengxi had no hope for his youngest son.

Moreover, Liang Yufeng and Xu Zhouyue had been at odds for years. “I heard that Xu Zhouyue has been waiting for Liang Yufeng to make a mistake at work so he could find an opportunity to reclaim the position of heir.”

However, Liang Yufeng’s actions were flawless. At least, during his time in power, he had not provided Xu Zhouyue with such an opportunity.

“That’s for sure,” Lan Lan was unsurprised. If she were Xu Zhouyue, she would also try to snatch it. “His business acumen is indeed very high. Xu Zhengxi has a good eye for people,” Gu Xiao also praised Liang Yufeng’s capabilities.

“He wasn’t this smart before,” Lan Lan recalled Liang Yufeng’s appearance in college. At that time, if someone told her that Liang Yufeng had “high business acumen,” she would likely think that person had a problem with their brain.

“What was he like before?” Gu Xiao’s curiosity was piqued by Lan Lan’s words.

Lan Lan did not answer. Instead, she took a piece of freeze-dried snack and waved it at Baozi, who was nibbling grass. Baozi immediately trotted over, drooling at the freeze-dried treat. Whatever Lan Lan asked it to do, it did. Lan Lan amused Baozi for a good while before finally tossing the snack to it.

As Baozi crunched on the snack, Lan Lan pointed at it and said to Gu Xiao, “Before, he was just like this.”

Give him a little treat, and he would come running like a dog, without any complaints. Sometimes, she thought he was useless, a bit foolish.

Gu Xiao laughed. He found it hard to connect the current Liang Yufeng with the person Lan Lan described.

“Perhaps he was just pretending to be foolish to make you happy back then?”
