Ten minutes?
Upon hearing this, the three coaches present wore expressions of shock.
What they hadn't solved in months, this person had apparently completed in ten minutes.
Seeing their stunned faces, the coach in the tracksuit didn't continue speaking. He wanted to say that it hadn't even taken ten minutes; one lap was just over a minute, two laps were just over three minutes, and Lin Yan had figured it all out within five minutes.
"I retract my previous statement. The other party is fully capable of obtaining the lifelong coach title."
After the shock, one of the coaches present immediately spoke up. He had held some reservations about Lin Yan before, but now, all that remained was admiration.
"It seems our pressure for this coaching competition will be a little less."
Another coach chimed in.
Hearing this, the others nodded as well. The pressure for the rider competition could be lessened. After all, out of five people, at least a few could make it into the main race. But for the coaching competition, the four of them couldn't even get into the main race.
In the West, especially in Spain and Italy, anyone who could be a coach was an old monster, a former world champion from the highest tier, or even a Hall of Famer. Even those who weren't world champions had at least reached
To put it bluntly, apart from years of experience and knowledge, they weren't even as good as the team captains from some of the Western countries with strong motorcycle cultures.
As this year's host, if not a single person from their country entered the main race, they would truly be disgraced.
However, with Lin Yan, even if not a top-three finish, qualification was a certainty.
The expectations weren't high. After all, even if Lin Yan was strong enough, this was the coaching category, and winning in the coaching category was still quite difficult.
The main race for the coaching category was only ten laps. Within ten laps, these world champions and veteran Hall of Famers were incredibly formidable. Even if Lin Yan was at his peak from the start, he might not be able to handle such a situation.
"Alright, the main race is about to begin. Let's go out and watch the competition."
...
The main race began. The host had the advantage of the track, so Sun Yuxuan and the others were doing alright. Four out of the five made it into the main race; only one unlucky soul didn't.
After receiving Lin Yan's guidance, the riders' conditions were explosive. Their problems were solved, and regardless of whether there was an improvement in the short term, their morale was certainly high.
The main race started with the roar of engines. Sun Yuxuan gave it his all, launching off the line and immediately overtaking the car in front, moving into tenth place.
"That's a good start."
Lin Yan commented from the platform. Apart from his overly conservative riding style, the captain had a slight issue with his starts, which he had corrected with a simple pointer. Not bad.
Compared to those coaches who hadn't even reached the highest tier, Lin Yan, a seven-time champion, was far superior.
However, in the following laps, Sun Yuxuan didn't show much brilliance, consistently maintaining his tenth position.
Fortunately, he wasn't overtaken by anyone behind him. This weakness, in a way, could be seen as a strength; insufficient offense, but ample defense.
Among the Chinese team, only Sun Yuxuan was somewhat competitive. The rest were almost all outside the top twenty, trailing at the back.
In the thirty-lap race, at the fifteen-lap mark, a Chinese rider who was in twenty-first place crashed out due to being too eager.
A sigh swept through the audience, and Lin Yan also exclaimed it was a pity.
After the crash, the rider quickly got up and rushed to his bike, but the engine had stalled. With no other option, he had to retire.
On the way back to the pit, the rider fiercely hit his helmet. The feeling of being so close yet failing was truly unbearable.
Perhaps it was a sacrifice for his teammates.
Sun Yuxuan, who was running ahead, finally overtook again, moving up to ninth.
Seeing Sun Yuxuan overtake, the audience finally emerged from the somber mood of the Chinese rider's crash. On the track, no matter who crashed, it was something the audience didn't want to see.
"Phew, ninth place. I feel like he can at least get into the top five in this race."
Su Mojin had high expectations for Sun Yuxuan.
Hearing his young companion's words, Lin Yan shook his head. Top five? Difficult. He even felt that the other rider might not even hold onto his current ninth place.
As expected, just after Su Mojin finished speaking, the rider behind him, whom Sun Yuxuan had just overtaken, made an inside move and passed Sun Yuxuan, putting him back in tenth place.
The skill levels of these two were clearly not on the same plane. The top ten were almost all people who had competed in the highest tier, while Sun Yuxuan was merely a rider struggling in the 600cc category.
The reason Sun Yuxuan had managed to overtake was that the other rider was conserving his tires, saving them for a push in the final laps to gain positions.
Ultimately, Sun Yuxuan finished the race in tenth place, managing to defend the honor of the home ground.
The remaining two riders had their best result in twenty-fourth place.
The rider competition concluded, and the coaching competition was next.
However, before the coaching competition even began, some spectators started to leave the venue.
"Hey, you guys are leaving? The race is only halfway through, and there's still the coaching competition!"
Seeing spectators gradually leaving the stands, Su Mojin was a bit confused and asked a few young people next to her who were preparing to leave.
"Coaching competition? Not interested. We came specifically for the rider competition. As for the coaching competition, it's better not to watch it than to watch it. Staying here will only ruin my mood."
"Exactly. Not even making it into the main race makes me angry. I'd rather spend my ticket money just watching half the competition."
"Miss, I advise you not to watch either. The coaching competition is really disheartening."
Before leaving, the person also advised Su Mojin.
Su Mojin didn't quite understand, but Lin Yan had a general idea of what was happening.
In just a few minutes, nearly ten thousand people had left the stands, and the remaining ones showed little enthusiasm.
Stretching his arms, Lin Yan leaned close to Su Mojin and whispered.
"It's our turn to go on stage."
...
After the rider competition ended, Sun Yuxuan returned to the pit and began to look forward to the new coach.
Ren Fei? Or the other one?
Sun Yuxuan hoped it would be Lin Shen, but he thought it was highly likely to be Ren Fei.
The other team members also had some anticipation, after all, a top rider from the current highest tier of MotoGP was coming.
Soon, at the entrance of the pit, a figure appeared before everyone.
"Huh? Why is it a woman?"
