All of Sun Kai’s maneuvers immediately sent him into a rage, pointing at Jiang Qimo ahead and unleashing a torrent of abuse.
Jiang Qimo, however, turned a deaf ear, consistently blocking Sun Kai’s line. This forced Sun Kai to stop and start, deviating from the normal racing line. He watched as the two beautiful women gradually pulled away. Sun Kai had no time to pay attention to them and focused on dealing with the insignificant rider blocking his path.
The two cars engaged in a fierce battle on the track. Sun Kai possessed both skill and experience, but Jiang Qimo was no longer the same Jiang Qimo of the past.
A Yamaha R3 and a Ninja 400 accelerated madly on the track, with Jiang Qimo in front and Sun Kai behind.
Enraged, Sun Kai attacked ferociously, his front wheel tightly glued to Jiang Qimo’s rear wheel, as if daring him to brake again, threatening to take them both down.
This tactic indeed worked, at least Jiang Qimo did not brake as he had before. However, he defended his line tightly. Overtaking? Impossible.
Having spent a year in the WSBK 300 class, Jiang Qimo’s mentality was incredibly stable. Combined with his existing riding style, mistakes were virtually impossible.
This is why riders who have participated in major competitions are generally not bad. Apart from their technical skills, their mental fortitude has also been honed.
In races where they were under extreme pressure with countless eyes on them, a mistake meant a drop in performance. Therefore, those who emerged from such competitions possessed far greater stability than external professional riders, even those with the worst stability in those races.
Sun Kai followed closely for a full lap but found no opening.
“Good heavens, this guy is a master!”
After a lap, not only had he failed to overtake, but the opponent was also continuously suppressing his speed, holding him back tightly.
“Why is it that everyone I encounter on the track is a master?”
Beneath his helmet, Sun Kai’s gaze was fixed on the rear of the green Ninja 400 ahead, wondering to himself.
Exiting the last corner and passing the finish straight, Sun Kai knew he couldn’t wait any longer. He had to win this battle for his pride.
He slammed the throttle to the floor, flicked his foot, and the engine vibrated violently. Pushing the horsepower to its limit, he tightly latched onto Jiang Qimo’s slipstream on the straight. The two cars had no difference in straight-line power, but the slipstream made a difference.
Following on the straight, then pulling out at the end, Sun Kai cut to the inside, extended his leg, and entered the corner!
Downshifting, braking, Sun Kai executed a heavily delayed brake. As a disciple of a WSBK rider, Sun Kai knew quite a few tricks.
The rear wheel shuddered violently, showing a tendency to step out.
The race car, coming from behind, roared past Jiang Qimo’s machine, taking the inside line into turn one. It had to be said, being taught by a foreign master did impart some skill. At least he maintained his line out of the corner, preventing Jiang Qimo from regaining the position. It was a rather good overtake.
The positions had changed, with Jiang Qimo now behind Sun Kai.
The offense and defense had switched. Beneath his helmet, Jiang Qimo showed no expression, controlling his race car to follow closely, waiting for an opportunity.
“Hmm? Why are these two youngsters fighting?”
From below the stands, Lin Yan had just opened his eyes and scanned the track. The first thing he saw was Jiang Qimo and Sun Kai. Why were these two fighting?
Seeing this, Lin Yan was puzzled. He rubbed his eyes and slowly straightened up, noticing that Jiang Qimo’s attack this time was surprisingly fierce.
Jiang Qimo’s overtake was very sharp, a departure from his usual style. As soon as Sun Kai showed the slightest opening, Jiang Qimo would seize the opportunity to slip in. This style was completely different from before.
Slightly perplexed, Lin Yan observed them closely and noticed Sun Kai and Su Mojin ahead of them. He frowned, seemingly guessing something.
In Lin Yan’s opinion, Jiang Qimo was always very steady and wouldn’t easily attack others. The only reason he was attacking so fiercely this time was likely related to his sister.
“Go check the surveillance footage and see what this kid did just now.”
Lin Yan’s intuition was accurate. A glance was enough for him to guess most of the situation.
A moment later, the staff retrieved the relevant footage.
“Tell the people over there that this kid doesn’t need to go back.”
After watching the surveillance video, Lin Yan easily saw through the kid’s intentions. Targeting his wife? Good heavens, he didn’t even know who he was messing with.
The battle on the track continued. Within a few corners, Jiang Qimo had regained the lead. Sun Kai, at this point, was still unaware that he had gotten himself into big trouble and was focusing even more intently on the front, determined to have a good duel with this opponent.
There was still some distance between the two of them and Su Mojin ahead. This was all due to Jiang Qimo deliberately slowing down. By reducing his speed in the corners, even Sun Kai was helpless.
After consecutively navigating three corners in the complex section, Sun Kai attempted to overtake again. Jiang Qimo had anticipated this. He successfully defended the exit and even opened up a small gap.
Jiang Qimo wanted to teach Sun Kai a lesson but didn’t know how. He knew who Sun Kai was. During lunch, he happened to overhear Lin Shen and the others talking about him in the pit garage. Given the sensitive nature of the other party’s identity, he really didn’t dare to act openly.
But how could he disguise it as an accident that wouldn’t be discovered? Shove him off? That didn’t seem realistic.
If he made a mistake in the duel with this guy and got himself pushed off, wouldn’t that be a pure disgrace to his master?
As the car accelerated, Jiang Qimo began to ponder in his mind.
After thinking for a long time without finding a solution, a deafening engine roar suddenly entered his ears, so loud it completely drowned out his own engine noise.
Factory bike?
Jiang Qimo instinctively turned his head to look. A red GP23.
Helmet livery? Is that… is that Renz?
“Why is Coach Renz here?” Realizing that the person suddenly behind them was Renz, Jiang Qimo was slightly perplexed. If he remembered correctly, Coach Renz had been practicing with Ren Fei and the others up front. How did he suddenly end up behind them?
Jiang Qimo heard it, and Sun Kai naturally heard it too. However, he didn’t look back, his gaze fixed intently ahead, searching for Jiang Qimo’s weakness, trying to close the distance between them again.
Overtaking, accelerating, braking, flipping, and amidst Jiang Qimo’s exclamation of “What the hell…”
Renz overtook Sun Kai, moving in front of him, and with a “dragon flick tail,” he sent the latter crashing to the ground. Sun Kai’s race car flipped over and spun out, landing in the runoff area.
“Good heavens, this… this works too?”
