"What's the situation?"
The greasy, powdered fat man who had left earlier returned, a burger stuffed in his mouth.
Noticing that things seemed different from before, he squeezed his way through the crowd.
"Don't even mention it..." A young woman next to him, her face full of misfortune, grumbled and pointed at Chu Tian, recounting what had just happened.
"Holy crap... you guys are all idiots!" The fat man spewed this insult, drawing curses and glares from others. Some even gestured aggressively, as if wanting to confront him.
"Tch..." The fat man was unfazed. He tossed his chips forward. "If you're not idiots, then who is?"
Seeing his chips land with a 'snap' next to Chu Tian's pile, silence fell. Several people wanted to slap themselves. Right, wasn't this guy a lucky charm before? The quicker thinkers also pushed their chips forward.
"Place your bets..."
"Triple sixes, a straight flush..."
The dealer was dumbfounded. She had dealt twelve consecutive straight flushes. She wondered if the machine was broken. And this last round... no one had bet on odd or even. This meant the casino was betting against this person. If he bet on a straight flush and the dice came up as one, the casino would have to pay.
"Haha... Still got anything to say about me calling you idiots?" The greasy, powdered fat man stood proudly, looking down on everyone.
"Pay up..." Seeing no one speak, the fat man extended his hand towards the beautiful dealer.
"Uh... Please wait a moment!" Sweat beaded on the beautiful woman's face. The chips on the straight flush bet, Chu Tian alone had seven or eight hundred thousand. With others also betting, it amounted to over a million. The fat man had also bet heavily, throwing in 200,000 worth of chips. This table alone didn't have enough chips to cover the payout. She had only collected over 100,000 in commission so far.
As the beautiful dealer spoke, she pressed a red button. Soon, a group of people arrived. She explained the situation to one of them. The man was slightly taken aback. After checking the records and seeing the twelve straight flushes, he looked at Chu Tian, who sat there calmly. The greasy, powdered fat man spoke up.
"Don't tell me such a large casino can't afford to lose?"
The newly arrived man smiled. "Of course not. We're just doing a routine check!" With a wave of his hand, several people behind him stepped forward and inspected the dice cup on the table. They shook their heads, indicating no issues.
"You can step down now," the man said to the beautiful dealer. She nodded and left. The man received a box from behind, opened it, and took out a pile of chips. He then paid Chu Tian, the greasy, powdered fat man, and the other bettors.
"Sir, would you like me to be your host from now on?" the man asked Chu Tian politely.
Just as Chu Tian was about to reply, the fat man interjected. "Listen, buddy, they've changed the dealer. I advise you to withdraw." He cheerfully gathered all his chips and turned to leave, clearly having made a fortune.
"I'm not playing anymore..." Chu Tian also scooped up his chips. The man opposite him suddenly froze. He hadn't expected Chu Tian to actually stop playing.
"Hmph..." The man let out a soft哼. Others didn't hear it, but Chu Tian heard it as loud as thunder.
"Hmph my ass... The might of the Azure Dragon!" Chu Tian immediately looked up, his gaze fixed on the man. A telepathic message was sent. A blue light flashed in his eyes.
"Uh... Pfft..." The man, upon hearing Chu Tian's telepathic communication, clearly faltered. Then, a dragon's roar echoed in his ears. His mind was wracked with excruciating pain. He spat a mouthful of blood onto the table, and a trickle of red flowed from all his orifices before he collapsed rigidly.
"Ah!" The entire casino erupted into chaos. When this man had approached, Chu Tian already knew he was a soul warrior. His soul cultivation wasn't very high; it was likely a soul cultivation that began after reaching the Heavenly Soul Realm. When the man proposed to play with him, Chu Tian knew he had ulterior motives. Who would have thought that after Chu Tian declined to play, the man would dare to launch a soul attack? If Chu Tian had been an ordinary person, that attack would have at least rendered him unconscious, if not worse. These martial artists truly didn't treat ordinary people as humans. Chu Tian was an anomaly; since he began cultivating, he had never exuded any aura, appearing no different from an ordinary person. Thus, he was often underestimated by martial artists. Of course, Chu Tian also enjoyed playing the underdog.
"Oh my... He was just jumping around, and now he's about to kick the bucket?" Amidst the commotion, the fat man who had left earlier returned empty-handed, having clearly exchanged all his chips for cash. He glanced at the man lying on the ground, showing no shock or panic like the others. Instead, he watched with amusement, circling the fallen man. Then, with a mocking expression, he looked towards Chu Tian.
"Buddy, you've got some nerve, daring to make a move in the Zhang family's casino!" Although the man didn't speak aloud, Chu Tian heard him. Chu Tian shifted his gaze to the fat man, frowning. He hadn't expected this fat man to be a master as well.
"What do you mean? I didn't make any move, you saw it yourself?" Chu Tian sent a telepathic message.
"I have no ill intentions. We're both soul masters, so let's not beat around the bush," the fat man said smugly.
"Soul masters?" Chu Tian was surprised, as he sensed no soul power from the fat man.
"Don't be so obvious. As soul masters, we have ways to conceal our aura to survive... But you... never mind. We'll talk another time. You've got trouble coming." The fat man stopped communicating telepathically, as such communication inevitably caused slight fluctuations that powerful figures could detect. The fat man's sudden cessation of conversation with Chu Tian indicated the arrival of someone he perceived as dangerous. Chu Tian turned his gaze, sensing many people parting the crowd. Leading them was an old man, who first approached the unconscious, blood-spewing man. He looked down, frowned, and then straightened up.
"May we speak further?" the old man asked, looking up at Chu Tian.
"After I redeem my chips..." Chu Tian prepared to head towards the redemption counter. The old man frowned, quickly moved to intercept him, and blocked his path.
"Chenchen is missing... Come with me!" the old man said in a low voice. Chu Tian, seeing the old man blocking him, thought he was about to attack and was ready to deliver a slap.
