Chapter 906: Signs of Trouble

Moreover, this didn’t add up with Green Bull’s side either. Chen Peiyue had never even been to Shangjing before, so there was no way the two had met—let alone had any grudges between them.

However, Li Zhonglou didn’t have time to dwell on that now. The other party was clearly targeting Chen Peiyue. Though she was an internal force expert, she was still inexperienced in the ways of the world and unaware of how deceitful people could be. If left unchecked, who knew what might happen?

So, as the attendant led Chen Peiyue toward the changing room, Li Zhonglou followed.

To avoid raising suspicion from the people on the second floor, Li Zhonglou immediately fused with Ailin’s soul.

*"The outfit should be unrecognizable, and the mask is still on..."*

Muttering to himself, Li Zhonglou waited until he saw the man on the second floor retreat before his figure flickered and vanished on the spot.

The attendant and Chen Peiyue only felt a gust of wind brush past them. Though puzzled, neither thought much of it.

The changing room the attendant mentioned was directly beneath the protruding section of the second floor—a nearly three-meter-wide double door marked with gender signs.

"Miss, you can go right in. There’s a female attendant inside to assist you."

"Okay."

Chen Peiyue nodded. What she didn’t know was that the moment she stepped inside, the attendant behind her flashed a triumphant smirk.

Inside was a standard lounge area, where a seductively dressed woman stood waiting.

The moment Chen Peiyue entered, she caught a whiff of a peculiar fragrance. It smelled pleasant, but something about it felt... off.

The female attendant approached, handing her a fresh set of clothes and guiding her to a changing booth.

The clothes were one-size-fits-all. If they didn’t fit, the attendant would provide standard sizing—a normal service here.

But where there was normalcy, there was also deceit. The moment Chen Peiyue stepped into the booth, the attendant’s eyes flicked toward the ceiling.

Meanwhile, in a room on the second floor...

The young man from earlier sat in front of a computer, his face alight with anticipation as he stared intently at the screen.

On the screen was Chen Peiyue’s figure!

Hidden in the ceiling of her changing booth was a pinhole camera.

"Old Turtle’s methods really are reliable. What could be safer than installing these things in your own place?"

The young man’s lips curled into a wicked grin.

Huang Lizhong—the youngest son of the current head of the Huang Leopard gang and its future successor.

His privileged upbringing had set him apart from other children from an early age. He’d developed an understanding of male-female relationships far sooner than most. Given that the Huang Leopard gang had built its fortune on the flesh trade, Huang Lizhong had already experienced carnal pleasures by the age of eleven.

However, years of indulgence had long since desensitized him to ordinary beauties.

Any woman who relied on makeup to enhance her charm held no appeal for him. This made his standards for partners increasingly stringent—to the point where finding someone who met them had become nearly impossible.

Yet human desire remained. Huang Lizhong wasn’t devoid of lust—he was just harder to satisfy. Over time, his cravings had grown increasingly perverse, shifting from normal intimacy to the thrill of voyeurism.

But given his status, he had no reservations about indulging these urges. Even though he knew the Red Pavilion was the gang’s flagship establishment, he had no qualms about planting hidden cameras there.

If this were ever exposed, the consequences wouldn’t just fall on him—the entire Huang Leopard gang would suffer severe repercussions. Yet Huang Lizhong continued regardless.

In his mind, nothing was more important than satisfying his desires!

So the moment his underling reported Chen Peiyue, he’d locked onto her.

*"Don’t disappoint me..."*

On the screen, Chen Peiyue stood with her back to the camera, slowly undoing her clothes.

But just as she was about to disrobe, a faint noise came from above.

Her head snapped up—just in time to see a wooden panel slide into place. Simultaneously, Huang Lizhong’s screen turned to static.

*What the hell?*

Huang Lizhong froze. Then, realization struck—and his face twisted in panic.

This could only mean one thing: she’d discovered the camera!

Though he dared to do this, that didn’t mean he could actually handle the fallout if it got out!

Frantic, Huang Lizhong bolted from the room, shouting, "Old Turtle!"

Back in the changing booth, the noise had startled Chen Peiyue—and drawn the attendant’s attention.

"Miss, is everything alright?"

Before she could finish speaking, Chen Peiyue pushed the door open, clothes in hand.

Without a word, she pointed at the ceiling.

The attendant’s face paled. In the next instant, her right hand shot out in a knife-hand strike aimed at Chen Peiyue’s neck.

*"Huh?"*

Before the resolve in the attendant’s eyes could fade, she felt as though she’d struck an iron plate. Looking down, she realized Chen Peiyue had somehow seized her wrist.

*"You—!"*

The immovable force gripping her made the attendant’s expression shift to horror.

But Chen Peiyue had no mercy for those who attacked her. Behind the mask, her eyes turned icy. With a sharp twist of her hand—

*Crack!*

The attendant’s wrist snapped.

Yet Chen Peiyue wasn’t done. Her right hand formed a palm strike, aimed straight for the woman’s heart.

Given her strength, a direct hit would be fatal!

But just before impact, a dark figure appeared beside her—grabbing her wrist with unshakable force.

This time, it was Chen Peiyue who felt powerless.

*"Li-ge?"*

When she saw who it was, surprise flashed across her face.

But Li Zhonglou’s brow was furrowed. "We’ll talk outside. Follow me."

Though confused by his sudden appearance, she obediently followed.

After soul fusion, Li Zhonglou had activated his Heavenly Eye透视 ability—which was how he’d spotted the camera. He’d also scouted an escape route.

Leading Chen Peiyue through a hidden door, they exited the changing area and emerged in the casino’s backstage via another passage, finally slipping out through a restroom corridor.

*"Li-ge, have you been here before?"*

Once they re-entered the casino from another direction, Chen Peiyue couldn’t help but ask.

Li Zhonglou shook his head, offering only a brief explanation.
