This small island was about ten kilometers offshore and housed a luxurious prison for many serious offenders. Wang Qingtian was brought here.
One night, a transport vehicle and over a dozen armed personnel arrived at the prison. They presented various documents, intending to take Wang Qingtian away under the guise of transferring him to a facility with better conditions.
The prison staff found it strange, as prisoner transfers usually occurred during the day, not in the middle of the night. However, the accompanying documentation was complete. After confirming with their superiors, the prison readily agreed.
Thus, a bewildered Wang Qingtian, still half-asleep, was taken from his cell.
He had not yet been tried and was merely a suspect. His current accommodations, aside from being cut off from the outside world, were quite decent.
"What are you doing?"
"I am Officer Wood, Mr. Wang. Due to your lawyer's request, we've decided to move you to a different location!" The leader was a fully armed Caucasian man whose appearance suggested he was no good.
"My lawyer requested it? Why don't I know about this? I want to see my lawyer!" Wang Qingtian felt something was amiss and shouted.
"Okay, seeing your lawyer is your right, but not right now!"
As Wang Qingtian attempted to resist, his neck was grabbed, a cloth was stuffed into his mouth, and a black hood was placed over his head. Two men then grabbed him and dragged him out.
Helpless, Wang Qingtian could only be taken away.
The vehicle left the prison, and Wang Qingtian was immediately taken to the island's dock. A medium-sized speedboat was waiting. Wang Qingtian was escorted onto the speedboat.
The speedboat's engine roared to life, and it sped away from Victoria Island Prison. However, instead of heading towards the Wenge Hua city, it turned and headed directly for the open sea.
The man named Wood took out his phone and dialed a number: "Federal Express has been dispatched..."
In his hospital room at the Mayo Clinic, a dejected Mark received the message on his phone and was jolted.
"Father, they've succeeded. They're on their way here!"
"Excellent! As long as Wang Qingtian is in our hands, Ling Tian will have to be cautious. Your Chinese people value filial piety."
The small boat carrying Wang Qingtian soon reached the open sea, where a medium-sized cargo ship was waiting. This ship had departed from Wenge Hua and was bound for a port in the United States.
The ship was arranged by the Gustav family, and its crew consisted entirely of Gustav family thugs.
The speedboat docked alongside the cargo ship. Wang Qingtian was fitted with a harness around his waist and hoisted onto the ship by a crane. Once everyone was aboard, the speedboat's seacock was opened, and seawater quickly rushed in, sinking it to the seabed tens of meters below.
If anyone were to try and locate the ship, it would be nearly impossible. The ship's tracking devices had been removed, and the ocean would conceal all evidence.
These individuals were sent by the Gustav family. They had pulled strings and, while unable to directly extradite Wang Qingtian to the United States, found it easy enough to arrange for a change of his holding facility.
During this prisoner transfer, all involved personnel had been replaced by Gustav family operatives. They planned to move Wang Qingtian to the United States through clandestine means.
Although this plan would involve the betrayal of some individuals, as long as the compensation was sufficient, those people were willing to do things for the Gustav family.
However, they failed to notice an albatross circling hundreds of meters above their ship.
The cargo ship sailed at full speed towards the United States.
Half an hour later, the cargo ship reached international waters. The albatross descended, and two figures suddenly appeared on the cargo ship's deck.
One was a man in a black, form-fitting suit, dressed as Batman. This was Ling Tian. Beside him was a beautiful woman in a Catwoman costume, who was Ali.
Ling Tian felt incredibly embarrassed by the costume. It was cosplay. Ali had recently become obsessed with Catwoman and had pleaded and begged him to join her. Helpless, Ling Tian had procured the Batman outfit.
On the cargo ship's surveillance monitors, the on-duty personnel saw a fleeting shadow. He rubbed his eyes, saw nothing, and then picked up the intercom.
"Hey, who's near the aft deck? Go check if there's anything unusual."
"Teddy, are you being too nervous? Everyone on this ship is one of us. Maybe someone just went for a stroll..."
"Hey, man, the boss said this mission has to be foolproof! Stop yapping and go check it out!"
"Alright!"
The two armed men, speaking into their radios, grabbed their guns and donned night-vision goggles before heading to the aft deck.
The area was densely packed with cargo, but this was merely a diversion.
"Nonsense, who would come onto our ship at night? Did they swim over?"
It was winter, and the night temperature was extremely low. One armed man grumbled, clearly reluctant.
"Who cares, they're the boss. They pay your salary, so do as you're told!"
"Teddy, are you seeing things? There's not a soul here! Just you wait until I deal with you when we get back!"
