Chapter 175: OLIVIA’S PREDICAMENT
Olivia tried to look for someone else when she couldn’t reach Lyle or River, but she didn’t have anyone that she could rely on. Most of the people in her contact were her business partners who lived miles away from her.
Even if she managed to call them, they wouldn’t be able to make it here in time.
She couldn’t call the security of this building, either. The number was on her other phone, which was in a different room. Olivia couldn’t stop cursing herself for not saving it on both of her phones.
And she was right about that. After she sent a message to River and Lyle, one of the intruders found her hiding spot.
It was not difficult to find her there, especially when there were not many hiding spots here.
"No! Let me go!" Olivia tried to scratch the man who dragged her out of the cabinet by her hair. She screamed at the top of her lungs.
She hoped there was someone who would hear her, but unfortunately, her apartment was rather soundproof.
The man was fat and short with a bald head and smelled like a cigarette. His arms were heavily tattooed, with a dragon tattoo on his left cheek.
"Stop fighting me!" The man was furious when Olivia managed to bite his hand. He slapped her so hard that she felt her neck was broken. "Fuck!" He saw the bite mark on his hand and glared at Olivia. "Take care of her! Drag her to the living room!"
He talked to the other men. Olivia was not sure how many people were there.
Upon hearing the command, two men came to approach Olivia. One of them was very young, probably a teenager.
The younger one looked terrified, while the other man looked callous. He grabbed Olivia’s hand and dragged her out of the bedroom towards the living room.
To prevent Olivia from fighting him, he twisted her fingers, which made her scream in pain. She was sure he broke them.
"Why are you fighting me? Don’t you want to see him?"
Olivia squeezed her eyes shut and bit her lips to muffle her scream. This was her subconscious response to the abuse. Marcus was to blame for that.
However, when she opened her eyes, Olivia was in disbelief.
Marcus was there. He looked horrible.
Was he... alive?
He was so skinny with visible bruises and dried blood all over his body. His eyes shut, and his breathing was very shallow. He was unconscious.
"Marcus...?"

"You are still here?" Hazel was surprised to see Ranon was still in the same spot. "Have you been waiting for me?"
Lucian was also in disbelief to see Ranon was still there. "Hey! Did you neglect your work again?" He could already imagine the pending documents that Ranon had to check. It would be extra work for him too!
"How was the meeting?" Ranon ignored Lucian’s complaint as he approached Hazel.
"I was there; what could they do?" Lucian pursed his lips. "I should ask for a raise in this case. Why should I take care of your wife’s business too?"
"Why are you still here?" Hazel also ignored Lucian. She frowned to see the complicated look in Ranon’s eyes.
It was close to sunset. At the very least, Ranon had been waiting for five hours, but when Hazel came closer, she scrunched her nose, and Ranon took a step back to avoid her.
"You smoked," she stated.
"Mm." Ranon wanted to smoke one cigarette only, but he ended up finishing the entire packet.
"Excuse me, I am still here." Lucian grew frustrated with the two of them.
"Go back with Lucian; I will see you at home." He knew he didn’t smell good right now. Moreover, there was no point for him to stay and wait for Hazel.
He could get all the details from Lucian, but somehow, he stayed. Just in case he was needed. Hazel was heavily pregnant now; a lot of things could happen.
Probably because of those reasons, he became restless and decided to wait.
"Why should I go back with him when you are here?"
"Yes, right. I want to go somewhere else," Lucian chimed in.
"I reek of the smell of cigarettes. Go back with Lucian; I will follow you from behind." He didn’t even wait for her response as he walked her to Lucian’s car, which was not too far from there.
"Neither of you is listening to me." Lucian clicked his tongue as he sat down behind the wheel.
"Drive safely; if something happens to her, you will not like the consequences of it."
"Hey! I did not volunteer to do this; why did you threaten me?"

"What do you want?" Olivia glared at the man, who was sitting on her sofa, but from the corner of her eyes, she could see Marcus. He was still unconscious.
"Carl, have you forgotten to give him his dose?" The man named Viper spoke to the young boy, who captured Olivie earlier.
He looked pale, as if he didn’t want to be here. He was scared. From the way he was trembling, he was not part of these people.
"He... he could die..." Carl said in a small voice, but instead, he got a slap.
"You will do it, boy. Don’t make me angry." Viper smirked at him and then shoved him towards Marcus.
"Stop it!" Olivia screamed; she cradled her broken fingers, but the bald man kicked her down when she tried to go to Marcus.
There was this excruciating pain that twisted her stomach.
"No! Stop it! What do you want?!" Olivia screamed loudly. "What do you want?!"
Viper raised his hand to stop Carl from injecting the drug into Marcus, and now his focus was on Olivia. "He owed me a lot of money."
"Tell me, and I will give you the money!" Olivia breathed with difficulty. If the problem was money, then it was easy to solve. "How much do you want?!"
