Chapter 1135 Unexpected Attack

The speech finally concluded. Delia tidied the materials on the podium and walked off stage like a proud little hen.

Behind her followed two burly bodyguards, hired at great expense by her family. Each was a super-powered individual with extraordinary combat skills.

Delia had been born into a wealthy family, her clan a giant in the cultural industry of the North American region. Her exceptional 'genius' from a young age had brought immense profits to the family, earning her considerable importance.

Bodyguards of this caliber were something even the clan leader only had one of, yet Delia was afforded two such individuals.

Due to her staunch advocacy for extreme environmentalism, Delia was a thorn in the side of many vested interests.

If nothing else, the largest chopstick factory in the Washington district had spent a considerable sum to make Delia 'shut up.' However, thanks to her capable bodyguards, no one had ever succeeded.

Wen Wen, stuffing the remaining hamburger and two chicken legs into his mouth, chewed the bones with a crunching sound. He then flicked the crumbs from his hands and silently followed behind Delia.

He could easily obtain information about her two bodyguards.

One was named 'Tyrant Dragon,' who, when using his ability, transformed into a half-dinosaur, half-human state. His physical durability was exceptionally high, and he excelled in hand-to-hand combat.

The other was named 'Ling Xin,' who could communicate with the invisible spirits in the air, making it impossible for anything hidden around him to escape his notice.

With these two as bodyguards, most people couldn't even get close to Delia.

Yet, Wen Wen sat nonchalantly on the roof of their departing car, utterly undiscovered.

The only minor inconvenience was when the car passed under a bridge; Wen Wen hadn't paid attention and bumped his head. However, it was inconsequential as no one could see him anyway…

Delia resided in a luxurious four-story villa. Within its grounds was a fountain more than ten meters in diameter.

The fountain was beautiful, illuminated by colorful lights. However, seeing it in Delia's home struck Wen Wen as deeply ironic.

Advocating for environmental protection was a good cause, but failing to practice it oneself while demanding others do so was rather disgusting.

Evidently, Delia saw no issue with it. She walked all the way to the fourth floor of the villa, which was entirely her bedroom.

Tyrant Dragon and Ling Xin took up positions at the villa's two entrances. After returning to the villa, their guard didn't need to be as high; a team of armed, ordinary security guards inside could easily handle any common intruders.

Wen Wen followed Delia into her boudoir.

Good heavens, the bathroom alone was larger than a typical family's living room.

However, Wen Wen wasn't prone to jealousy. The entire containment facility was his home; it would be difficult to find anyone whose home was larger than his.

The entire room was adorned in pink, giving it a very girlish appearance. Seeing it on Delia, Wen Wen felt a twinge of disgust.

Upon her return, Delia immediately sat at her computer. She placed her fingers near the hard drive port, and a faint, ethereal light appeared on her fingertips.

This light transformed into the shape of a hard drive and was inserted into the computer. The computer screen rapidly displayed garbled text, eventually resolving into a pattern of four squares pieced together like a window.

The screen displayed only a hard drive icon. Opening it revealed three folders: 'Film and Television,' 'Audio,' and 'Literary Works.'

Delia's most frequently accessed folder was 'Literary Works,' as literary works were the easiest to plagiarize.

She knew this activity was illicit, so she always handled this information herself. Otherwise, simply taking a single movie from here could lead to massive sales in the Federation.

Standing behind her, Wen Wen suddenly understood. It turned out she wasn't the transmigration; the transmigration was the information she had created.

The information from another world existed within Delia's body in the form of a hard drive.

If Delia hadn't solely plagiarized literary works, and if her family wasn't already in the cultural industry, she would have been targeted by the Hunter Association long ago. This item wouldn't have fallen into Wen Wen's hands.

As Wen Wen prepared to act, attempting to strip this 'thing' from Delia, his eyebrows suddenly twitched, and a smile curved his lips.

"Someone else is also targeting her… How interesting."

Ling Xin, who was sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper, suddenly changed his expression. The spirits in the air informed him that an attack was imminent on the villa.

"Spirits, manifest! Protect me!"

With a great shout, five semi-transparent figures clad in different armor appeared around him. These were his protective spirits.

His ability was to form contracts with the ghosts of ancient generals, turning them into invisible spirits that guarded Ling Xin.

Spirits were immortal and indestructible, retaining their full combat prowess from their lives. This was an extremely powerful ability.

However, Ling Xin was overwhelmed by this situation. Although the five spirits protected him from the front, back, left, right, and above, there was no spirit to guard him from below.

Several dark green vines emerged from the toilet, binding Ling Xin tightly to the seat. The vines were laced with poisonous thorns, and Ling Xin's body gradually went numb. He collapsed into unconsciousness on the toilet.

The other occupants of the villa were not spared the assault of the poisonous vines. The twenty-man security detail patrolling the courtyard were all ensnared by the toxic tendrils, lying on the ground with greenish complexions.

Tyrant Dragon sensed something was amiss. He roared, transforming into his half-dragon, half-human monstrous form, and smashed through several walls as he charged out.

The intruder's aura was clear. He rushed towards the direction of the aura, intending to shatter the intruder with his immense impact.

The intruder was a man clad in a gray cloak, his hood pulled up, revealing only his chin.

Seeing Tyrant Dragon charge, the intruder showed no signs of panic, a mocking smile gracing his face.

The smile enraged Tyrant Dragon, who increased his charging momentum. Suddenly, he seemed to collide with something, emitting a tremendous roar. The surrounding grassland was flattened by the sheer force of the impact.

Dazed and disoriented, Tyrant Dragon stumbled back two steps. His forehead became red and swollen, and blood streamed down from his eyes.

Before him, a transparent wall had appeared at some point, blocking Tyrant Dragon's path.

Tyrant Dragon felt a pang of retreat. The moment he turned, a slender, fair hand pressed against his chest. Countless vines were released from the hand, binding Tyrant Dragon into a large, mummified bundle.

The owner of that hand was a man dressed rather revealingly. This man had green hair and no clothes, only a few vines concealing his essential parts.

"Dr. Joseph, all resistance here has been neutralized. We can proceed."

The grey-robed man, known as Joseph, nodded. He and the green-haired man then entered the villa.

Wen Wen watched this entire farce from the window. He sensed that Joseph and the green-haired man harbored no killing intent, which was why he allowed them to deal with the bodyguards.
