Chapter 657 Auxiliary Buildings

"Punishment, Execution… the names are quite fitting. I always felt the Containment Facility’s functions were incomplete before. With these two doors, it feels much better."

Then, Wen Wen stroked his chin and asked, "But why have I never heard of these two places before?"

Ni Wei Ya smiled and said, "Because these two places have only been open for less than a day. It’s likely that after you captured that escaped convict, your power met the conditions to unlock them."

"Since they have just opened, these two places cannot yet be used on a large scale. However, if you only wish to punish or execute one or two monsters, they can still be used normally."

Wen Wen nodded with satisfaction. "I'll experiment with them myself then… But this room is so large, there should be more than just these two doors, right?"

The room was vast, and judging by its layout, there should indeed be more than two doors.

Ni Wei Ya nodded in response. "You guessed correctly. This place once had more than two doors, including the 'Warden's Office,' 'Museum of Curiosities,' 'Superpower Research Institute,' and several others. Behind each door was an independent architectural containment."

"However, those structures all detached themselves when the Containment Facility was dormant. If you wish to use the functions of those spaces, you will need to find them yourself."

Wen Wen felt like he suddenly had a lot more tasks, so he asked Ni Wei Ya, "If those structures aren't retrieved, does it affect the Containment Facility?"

"That depends on whether you need those spaces. The main body of the Containment Facility only consists of five floors for disasters and calamities. What you possess is the complete form of the Containment Facility. All other buildings, including the Punishment and Execution Chambers, are merely annexed spaces. Retrieving them would be icing on the cake; not retrieving them makes no real difference."

Regarding the annexed spaces Ni Wei Ya mentioned, Wen Wen actually had some leads. When he was searching for Wen Rui, the wondrous museum he encountered might have been a lost annexed space of the Containment Facility.

If he had the chance, Wen Wen could try his luck at that museum again. If it truly was once part of the Containment Facility, it would be a massive gain – a disaster-level structure!

Having learned enough, Wen Wen bid farewell to Ni Wei Ya and returned to the disaster zone. Standing before Dr. Feng's cell, he said,

"Of all the monsters I've captured, you are the one I hate the most. Before I captured you, I intended to torment you properly. So, I have something new I want you to test."

Dr. Feng, deducing based on his own behavior, asked, "You want to conduct human experiments on me?"

Wen Wen shook his head. "I'm not as twisted as you. I just want to send you somewhere. I'm not entirely sure about the conditions there. I hope you can have a good chat with me after you return."

With that, Wen Wen waved his hand, and a red door appeared behind Dr. Feng. An invisible red palm materialized from within the door and dragged Dr. Feng into it.

After closing, the door did not disappear but remained standing in the center of the cell, emitting an indescribably eerie aura.

As long as one focused their attention on this door, they could hear the despairing wails emanating from within – the sounds of past victims. The moment attention shifted away, nothing could be perceived.

Wen Wen did not put the door away. He wanted other monsters to know what Dr. Feng was experiencing, so they would be more obedient.

After Dr. Feng vanished, Wen Wen looked at Aisuwakazi. Aisu immediately shivered. Only he knew what Dr. Feng was experiencing.

Wen Wen's lips curled upwards. "You know where he went, right? If you don't behave, I'll send you in there too, to remind you."

"I will definitely behave," Aisu vowed, patting his chest.

Next, Wen Wen disciplined the other monsters once more and then left the area with satisfaction, heading to a training ground to continue practicing his swordplay.

The Ghost Sword Technique currently only had two moves, which were insufficient for Wen Wen to handle various situations. Therefore, he needed to continue developing new techniques…

In a small city in the north, Heng An used a steel rebar to push open a dilapidated wooden door and entered a courtyard filled with bloodstains. Ostensibly, it was a rural guesthouse, but in reality, it was a restaurant that touted wild animals as its specialty.

Such a restaurant was naturally illegal, but the owner was exceptionally well-connected. Among the guests frequenting the courtyard were high-ranking officials and influential figures. Even if someone reported it, the owner could suppress it. Thus, it had been in operation for seven or eight years, and it had even become increasingly popular.

However, this courtyard would no longer be as popular. All the guests in the courtyard were found headless, and the owner's family, from old to young, were hanged from the rafters, their expressions filled with terror as if they had witnessed something ghastly.

In the center of the courtyard sat a giant weasel, as tall as a person. Clearly, the tragedy in the courtyard was its masterpiece.

Upon seeing Heng An, the weasel's expression changed, but it immediately let out a sneer. "You finally found me. What do you plan to do now? Kill me?"

Heng An poked at the corpses with the steel rebar and asked, "Did you kill all these people?"

The weasel said maniacally, "Yes, I killed all these people. I haven't even had my fill!"

"For decades, I protected the mountain folk in the nearby villages. But these people, while I was treating their illnesses, abducted all twenty-seven of my offspring and served them on their tables!"

"For money, for the pleasure of their taste buds, you humans will do anything. One day, you will taste the bitter fruit you have sown. My words are finished. If you want to kill me, proceed."

When Heng An entered, the weasel had already sensed its powers being suppressed, and the steel rebar also gave it a bad feeling. If they were to truly fight, it might be instantly killed by Heng An. But it had already completed its revenge, so even death wouldn't matter.

Heng An rubbed his hair with annoyance. "It seems you've misunderstood something. Your grievances have nothing to do with me, and I'm not here to deal with you… I'm asking you, have you seen a girl about ten years old, with a bow in her ponytail?"

The weasel blinked. "I think I saw this little girl. I have no interest in killing human cubs. She was tied up by me in the kitchen…"

As soon as it finished speaking, Heng An rushed towards the kitchen. Following that, sounds of clashing and the little girl's pained pleas could be heard from the kitchen, as if Heng An was bullying a child in there.

After the sounds subsided, the weasel saw Heng An emerge from the kitchen, disheveled and with a resentful little girl on a rope in his hand. Notably, the girl was unharmed, while Heng An’s face bore several scratches.

Seeing this, the weasel was stunned and then said, "You humans, you don't even spare your own cubs?"
