"You're overthinking it," Wen Wen said, flicking his finger against Jing Yan's forehead. "I'm a good person. Why would I kill you?"
"I told you before that I would keep both you and Guo Shengye under my supervision. I always keep my word."
Tears welled in Jing Yan's eyes. "You won't succeed!"
The tears weren't from humiliation, but from pain. After Wen Wen's flick, a swollen red lump appeared on her smooth forehead, looking like a third eye.
"Catching Guo Shengye is simple for me. And getting out of here is also very simple."
Wen Wen tapped his waist, and the magic mirror flew out, landing in front of Jing Yan and returning to its normal size. Jidro, looking lecherous, emerged from the mirror, radiating a mystical aura.
"Congratulations, my great master," Jidro fawned over Wen Wen, all the while casting covetous glances at Jing Yan, his desire unconcealed.
Wen Wen saw Jidro's expression and knew he had no good intentions. However, he didn't care what Jidro planned to do, as he had already agreed to it.
"I'll hand her over to you. I don't care what you do, but you can't kill her, and you can't cause me any losses."
"Also, she's still married. While she's not exactly a prize, there are certain things you can't do."
Jidro chuckled and said, "Don't worry, Master, I'll handle it perfectly." He then lecherously walked up to Jing Yan, grabbed her by the collar, and dragged her to a corner.
Wen Wen didn't want to witness what was about to happen, so he drew his sword and slashed out an ice wall, separating himself from Jidro. As the ice wall formed, Jing Yan's pained screams echoed from behind, interspersed with Jidro's excited shouts.
The sounds bothered Wen Wen, so he put on headphones and began to eagerly browse through the original art books on the shelf. Although Guo Shengye was a scumbag who didn't deserve to be human, his painting skills were top-notch in the industry, offering Wen Wen a visual feast. Such talent, once captured and brought to the facility, could be managed by Feng Ruixing to generate revenue for the facility. It was a shame these art books had to be used to heal the young girls; otherwise, Wen Wen would have happily collected them.
By the time Wen Wen put down the art books, Jidro was standing beside him, having waited for a long time. His back was straight, his complexion ruddy and glowing, completely devoid of his previous gaunt and vulgar demeanor. He was like a different person. Jidro's aura was now similar to Jing Yan's, with an added touch of the uncanny. If he were an enemy, he would likely be even more troublesome than Jing Yan.
However, upon noticing Wen Wen looking at him, Jidro immediately bowed his back, a fawning smile on his face. His long life had taught Jidro that even in triumph, one must not become complacent. He knew that compared to Wen Wen's true power, he was merely an ant before a behemoth. His current humility would bring him greater rewards in the future, while complacency would inevitably invite disaster.
"That was quick. Faster than I expected," Wen Wen said, taking off his headphones and looking at Jidro.
*If you hadn't been so demanding, I would have been much faster...*
Of course, Jidro only grumbled these words in his heart, not daring to voice them. He bowed to Wen Wen and said, "My great master, I have absorbed most of her power and inherited all of Jing Yan's abilities except those related to the soul!"
"Including control over this massive labyrinth and the ability to open the Mirror World passage at any time."
Wen Wen raised an eyebrow. "No abilities related to the soul... Does that mean I'm at a disadvantage?"
Jidro shook his head. "My great master, I did not completely drain Jing Yan. She has retained some of her abilities, and with my increased power, I have also gained new ones."
"The magic mirror's mirror eye has been upgraded. It can hide within any mirror you wish to observe, and unless someone possesses special abilities, they won't be able to detect it."
Wen Wen's eyes lit up. "Hiding in mirrors, hehe, that's good!" He remembered almost losing an eye the last time he tried to peep into Gu Panxi's bathroom, and he had certainly made a mental note of it.
"Furthermore, when you use the magic mirror, your left eye will transform into a mirror eye..."
"Mirror eye..."
Wen Wen mused over the term. It seemed to be an eye-related ability. He wondered what marvels it would reveal.
"You can use this eye to see things that are usually difficult to perceive. Your eye essentially becomes a mirror, reflecting everything in the real world onto it."
"And you can see everything reflected on this mirror!"
Wen Wen attempted to activate the magic mirror, and his left eye immediately felt a cool sensation. When he opened his eyes again, his left eye's perspective had changed. He could see strands of circulating energy entwined around Jidro and himself. Jidro was represented by silver light particles, while he himself was a dense black smoke. These particles and smoke were normal energy fluctuations possessed by every superpowered individual. Superpowered beings were essentially massive energy bodies, and there was bound to be subtle energy dissipation around them. However, under normal circumstances, this energy dissipation should be completely invisible. But with the mirror eye, Wen Wen could see it all clearly. With this ability, Wen Wen would only need to glance at an enemy to roughly gauge their strength, which was much more reliable than judging by aura alone. Moreover, being able to see even energy dissipation meant that so-called invisible attacks and enemies would be completely exposed.
Wen Wen was very satisfied with the mirror eye's ability, but Jidro's transformation had one more aspect that concerned Wen Wen: he could now move the magic mirror to the containment area. It seemed that after Jidro became stronger, his will could control the magic mirror itself, making him seem more like a monster than a containment item. However, after careful consideration, Wen Wen decided to keep Jidro in the containment warehouse. After all, Jidro was just his lackey, not a criminal himself.
Having gained a basic understanding of his abilities, Wen Wen decided not to linger in the Mirror World. He then manipulated chains to pull Jing Yan out from behind the ice wall. Due to Wen Wen's prior instructions, Jidro had not done anything untoward. However, Jing Yan still appeared exhausted, her clothes soaked with sweat, and her consciousness slightly hazy. Her strength had been reduced to the disaster-level, leaving her only with soul-related abilities. In the future, she would serve as a tool whenever Wen Wen needed her.
