Chapter 1 The Quiet Main Street

The players lining the main street of Man Hammer Town fell silent, all eyes fixed on the giant player whose massive axe had just unleashed terrifying power, smashing the ground beneath him. A sense of unease settled over them.

"So strong!"

"Is Zero Wing really planning to attack Man Hammer Town?"

"Has Zero Wing gone mad? How dare they directly attack Man Hammer Town!"

If the sudden appearance of the giant player hadn't been enough to fully register, the sight of the Six-Winged emblem on his chest and the patrol team being sent flying left no room for doubt.

Zero Wing was indeed making a move against the Starlight Alliance, and they were starting with Man Hammer Town, one of its most crucial strongholds.

As the crowd whispered amongst themselves, the first wave of patrol teams was already being wiped out by dozens of Zero Wing's Tier 2 giant players. Even Tier 2 MTs were as helpless as children against the Tier 2 giant berserkers, let alone the patrol team, which consisted of only a handful of Tier 2s amidst a hundred Tier 1 members.

Seeing the combat prowess of the giant players, the other players on the street scattered, not daring to approach the battlefield. They could only watch from a distance.

"Commander, the players on the street have dispersed. Shall we fire?" A defensive player on the turret anxiously asked Ba Yu, the commander.

The giant players' combat power far exceeded their expectations. The elite patrol team of the Knights of Judgment had been wiped out in less than ten seconds, their immense strength leaving craters all over the ground. If this spread to the rest of the town, the damage would be catastrophic.

"Zero Wing was prepared, as expected. Open fire before they scatter further! We must annihilate them on that street and prevent further damage to other areas!" Ba Yu watched the towering Zero Wing giant players, feeling a twinge of pressure. The thought of these giants rampaging through the streets, wreaking havoc and killing players at will, was not something the Knights of Judgment wanted to see.

"Yes!"

Upon receiving Ba Yu's order, the players manning the defensive turrets immediately went into action. More than a dozen turrets simultaneously targeted the giant players on the main street and unleashed their barrage.

A series of explosions erupted, engulfing a large section of the main street, an area impossible for players to dodge.

But in the next moment, more than ten Tier 2 Shield Warriors suddenly broke away from the ranks of the giant players and leaped towards the incoming cannonballs.

Boom, boom, boom…

The explosions rang out in mid-air, and the shockwaves were felt even by the players far away. When the smoke cleared, everyone was dumbfounded.

The ten-plus giant Shield Warriors who had directly confronted the cannonballs were not only still alive, but they hadn't even retreated a single step upon landing. They had only lost a small portion of their health, less than 10%.

"Just how high is their defense? That was a Tier 3 attack!"

The defensive players on the turrets stared at the mostly unscathed giant players, their faces filled with disbelief.

A Tier 3 cannonball attack could deal over 300,000 damage to a Tier 3 NPC, severely injure a Tier 2 NPC, and instantly kill a player. Even a Tier 2 Shield Warrior using a burst skill would have to rely on a damage-reducing, life-saving skill to barely survive. Yet, these giant players were acting as if nothing had happened, merely dusting off their armor.

"Commander, what should we do?" The players manning the defensive turrets asked Ba Yu.

The turrets were proving too weak against the giant players. If the giants scattered and rampaged through the streets, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"Keep preparing to aim! Attack the moment the cooldown ends!" Ba Yu's expression turned grim as he watched the Zero Wing giant players. With such high defense and strength, it would take a considerable amount of time to eliminate them. And that time was more than enough for these giant players to cause significant damage to Man Hammer Town.

Just as Ba Yu finished giving his instructions, his heart skipped a beat as he saw more giant players emerging from the spatial black holes.

"Quick! Immediately notify the Guild Leader! Tell him to request reinforcements from the other guilds! They need to come and support Man Hammer Town immediately!"

Ba Yu felt a chill run down his spine as he watched wave after wave of giant players emerge from the spatial black holes. Combined with the first batch of giant players, who were just standing around instead of rampaging, he realized something.

Normally, when launching a surprise attack on an enemy town, the first thing to do would be to avoid the town's defenses and cause as much damage as possible. After all, the attacks from the town's turrets and arrow towers were not to be taken lightly, not to mention the hordes of hired NPC guards that would rush to defend the town.

Being surrounded would be no joke.

But the Zero Wing giant players weren't doing any of that. They were just standing on the main street, leisurely forming a defensive formation, wasting time as if they were fools.

After all, the more time they wasted, the more advantageous it would be for the defending side.

But how could Zero Wing be fools?

Looking at the growing number of giant players on the street, Ba Yu's hands began to tremble, not from the excitement of battle, but from the realization of a possibility.

That was, the enemy simply didn't care. They had absolute confidence that they could take Man Hammer Town.

The players manning the defensive turrets felt that Ba Yu was exaggerating. They were just a few giant players; it wasn't like they were facing a million-strong army. There was no need to immediately call for support from over a dozen guilds.

But Ba Yu had already given the order, so they could only immediately contact the Guild Leader and let him handle the situation.

In just a short while, a thousand giant players had gathered in Man Hammer Town. The breathing of the crowd grew heavy. Just one giant player could easily withstand turret attacks, and now there were a thousand of them gathered together…

Whether they were independent players or members of the defending teams, their expressions were grim.

And as a figure, not particularly tall, emerged from the spatial black hole, all the independent players and guild defenders on the street tensed up, staring intently at that figure.

"Black Flame!"

"He's… Sword King Black Flame!"

"He's leading the attack personally?"

The name of Black Flame was known throughout the Star-Moon Kingdom. He was a legend, capable of single-handedly contending against Tier 4 Legendary power for a short time, a feat that was still being talked about today.

"Guild Leader Black Flame, we are truly surprised that you would come to Man Hammer Town in person. May I ask what business you have here?" Ba Yu stared at Shi Feng and deliberately stalled for time, lowering his voice as he spoke.

A master who could wield Legendary power for a short time was not someone that turrets and NPC guards could easily deal with. They would need to use the guild's trump card, but that would take time.

"Since the Starlight Alliance has already declared war on Zero Wing, we are simply here to respond and ensure that the Starlight Alliance is completely wiped off the map of the Star-Moon Kingdom!" Shi Feng glanced at Ba Yu, the commander, and spoke slowly, as if he didn't care about Ba Yu's stalling tactics.

"You think that's possible? With just these thousand people?" Ba Yu glanced at the time and then smiled. "Activate the magic array!"

Instantly, a massive magic array formed on the main street, completely enveloping the entire street and the surrounding areas. The powerful pressure caused the attributes of the Zero Wing members within the array to decline.

This was Man Hammer Town's trump card, a large-scale, intermediate magic array that could withstand attacks from even Legendary monsters for a significant amount of time, while also reducing the attributes of players within the array by more than 20%.

"Is that so?" Shi Feng then activated Miniature World and Ring of Brilliance.
