Chapter 48 – Fox goes poof and Moar Power
Aiko stared at the poor Fox, the Fox was whimpering.
'Now I feel really bad.' Aiko didn't have any bad feelings towards the Fox, sure, she tried to attack her multiple times, but in Aiko's eyes, it felt just cute.
Her attacks never really endangered her. Aiko felt like the Blood Fox was attacking because she had to, not because she wanted to.
The Blood Fox whimpered one last time and something cracked.
The Blood Fox felt free yet restrained by the pain. She remembered everything, especially her brother.
She remembered her kind brother and remembered what her brother gave her for protection.
She cracked the protective ring around her teeth
*Boom*
Aiko was startled as her mind pushed her away and the Blood Fox disappeared completely.
'What in the world...' Aiko sniffed that place, but couldn't find any traces of the Blood Fox and her [Hunting Mastery] also didn't react.
Aiko scratched her ear, but soon lost interest and returned to her Den.
She ate some more food, but this time there was no chilling sensation running down her back, she was confused...
She placed one Spirit Crystal under her nest and laid down. Her nest now had a heating function and she had a much nicer sleep...

6th Day
Aiko woke up, completely refreshed. The heating function worked a bit too well and she overslept. Normally this wouldn't have happened as that Mean Fox would wake her up when the time came, but...
'This isn't all that bad...' She thought.
She stared at her system panel and went through the changes.
