Moon Aiko 'woke up' from her daze, submerged in what seemed like 'water'.
Gently blinking, the scenery slowly changed. It was obvious she was not inside water, but inside the condensed sphere of Qi.
[Congratulations. You have created a new Throne.]
The system said somewhat depressingly, but Aiko ignored it. It was obvious she didn't care about the throne or anything like that.
What she wanted was just to understand the-
[You have obtained an incomplete physique.]
Moon Aiko gently shook her head as her body absorbed the Qi, leaving her naked on the side of the beautiful lake.
Even this lake would not be enough to accomplish anything for her [Hollow Moon], but it would at least be able to nurture her Spiritual Water.
However, she was unable to take it just yet. It didn't belong to her, and that grandpa was too powerful to offend.
It was all fun and games with Human Cultivators and Fox Village, but once the truly powerful stepped in, Aiko had to be cautious.
Moon Aiko noticed the gaze on her, so she slowly turned her head.
A human.
Moon Aiko's face distorted as she dived into the lake to cover her body. She also wrapped her body in her tails, but that didn't stop the youth from approaching her.
[Detecting the Heaven's Cho-]
Before the system could even finish, a sinister mouth appeared below that human and swallowed him.
Blood splashed everywhere as the mouth chewed him thoroughly.
"Haha..." The Elder appeared nearby. He was quite startled that there was Heaven's Chosen so close to this place.
Moon Aiko stared at him wordlessly.
"The other Beast will be joining soon." The Elder scratched his head.
Moon Aiko gave a simple nod, but she was unwilling to move. She still wanted to absorb more of this lake's energy.
"You can take the lake once they are done." The Elder waved his hand before disappearing. Due to his oversight, he tried to confront the Great Dao.
This, in turn, caused issues that shouldn't have happened.
Fortunately, the Princess didn't take any offence, but he still had to make amends until she 'awakened'.
It might take a few hundred, maybe thousands of years, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Moon Aiko was startled by his words, but she didn't reject them.
With this, her Spiritual Water should reach the top 100 Rankings.
With more power comes more generation, and with that, she would be able to fill the [Hollow Moon] with precious water.
She could also use the [Heavenly Blessed Light-Water] to further nourish it, giving it different abilities and strengthening it.
Moon Aiko gently nodded her head as half of her face submerged.
She made a few bubbles, pondering about what would happen when others joined the lake.
The most enthusiastic was naturally the Nightmare Owl, but because of the Holy Deer and Fire Bird Queen, they didn't dare to approach the small Fox.
Moon Aiko didn't really care about them as she still had many things to do.
She needed to collect precious stones that would shine to create the night sky inside the [Hollow Moon].
She chose this option because having a natural sky was not cool enough.
Something mesmerising, something captivating, like a sky full of stars, would be more fitting for something as unique as the [Hollow Moon].
Moon Aiko also had to test the inside temperature, maybe replace some layers or banish others. Completing her physique and allowing her to finish it up.
She also pondered about the Heavenly Blood Tree.
It might be possible to place it inside, but then how would she deliver the nutrients?
Unlike her other plants, this one was special. It consumed Beasts and their blood to advance, which meant that it was better to keep her outside, but...
'It's too big...' Moon Aiko didn't like the fact that the Heavenly Blood Tree was so big.
The other Beasts splashed and played inside the lake, overjoyed that they finally got this opportunity.
Their bodies would be cleansed, reaching a staggering 85% purity!
During this time, the Nightmare Owl tried to approach Aiko several times, but the Earthen Elephant always dragged him away.
That was to ensure he wouldn't do something stupid.
The Foxy saved their young, so they shouldn't make wrong decisions while handling her.
Moon Aiko blinked. The Fire Bird Queen was standing in front of her in her human form.
As expected, she was a beauty.
With fiery hair and jade-like skin, she was like a treasure that anyone would covet.
Except for Aiko, who didn't really like her face... or expression... or heat...
"What is it?" Moon Aiko tilted her head.
"Why didn't you tell us you were getting ahead?" The Fire Bird Queen folded her arms. Impressive peaks were squished, attracting a lot of attention from other Beasts.
Moon Aiko tilted her head. "The grandpa said I should go ahead, and you were in a fight. If the Holy Deer didn't make that barrier, I would already be blasted out of that mountain." She couldn't understand why the Fire Bird Queen felt like she was upset.
The Fire Bird Queen coughed awkwardly. She completely forgot that this little Foxy was barely a Holy/Demonic Beast.
"Right..." The Fire Bird Queen said awkwardly before going to sit on the side. She didn't want to admit that she had completely forgotten that this Foxy was too weak.
Moon Aiko tilted her head. Including that Nightmare Owl, everyone was very weird.
One liked to shape dirt. Another liked to ogle females. And another liked to clean her hair. It was just odd.
There were no normal Beasts that Aiko could see. Each and every single one of them had some kind of unique quirk that separated them from others.
'Is it because they want to feel unique?' Moon Aiko didn't quite understand it.
The closer someone was to humans, the more degraded everyone became. She was no exception since she liked her experiments... teasing... games.
Moon Aiko gently shook her head. It seemed like it was natural for everyone to pick at least one quirk over time and settle with it.
That would decide their fate and how loved or hated they were.
In this aspect, Aiko had a lot of merits.
She was a female, beautiful Fox and even a smart one at that.
She was not consumed by lust or any carnal pleasure like that, but at the same time, that same thing attracted a lot of envy.
Take the small Fire Bird, for instance. She was still glaring at Aiko like she was trying to have a duel with her over who was more beautiful.
Her non-cursed form would attract a lot of attention now that the Beauty stat worked directly.
If it were a Holy Beast, they had a lot of immunity to beauty, as shown by the Holy Deer.
But Beasts like Dragons were hard to gauge.
Dragons, most of them, were able to see through all illusions, making them the pinnacle of Beasts, but also the nemesis of Foxes.
Foxes and a few other Beasts loved to use illusions in fights to make it easier on themselves, but that was hard to do against Dragons.
It was good that the Dragons were not very interested in Foxes, otherwise they would become their vassals...
Moon Aiko leaned back, tails wrapped around her body as she stared at the Moon.
She was... tired. There was so much to do, but so few helpers.
She had to solve the Demonic Foxes' predicament, finish her Cauldron, learn Arrays and Formations, update her Inscription Rank, rob the Elders-
So much...
Moon Aiko blinked a few times before falling asleep.
She was not disturbed by the rowdy nature around her, and most didn't even notice that she fell asleep.
The major Beasts immediately noticed, since the Fox's energy dropped significantly when asleep.
That was the protection most Beasts obtained, so they were harder to be hunted, but Foxes especially excelled at this.
That was also one of the reasons why Beasts, unlike Human Cultivators, still loved to sleep even at a stage that didn't require them to.
Healing wounds and having a fainter presence was the perfect recipe for them to recover without being found out.
The Holy Deer set up a small barrier that blocked the sound and splashes before leaning back.
"I'm shocked you are holding yourself back." The Fire Bird Queen said sarcastically.
"There is nothing to hold back. She is too young." The Holy Deer shook his head. "And you were also the one who tried to 'join' them together, so don't feign ignorance, birdie."
"Heh." The Fire Bird Queen glared at him. "I remember now. I still wanted to beat you up for not helping us."
"Go ahead." The Holy Deer smiled gently. "I will enjoy your 'swaying' greatly."
"You bastard!" The Fire Bird Queen immediately covered herself, feeling offended by his gaze.
"Don't start a fight you can't win, not to mention if it was not for me, the little Foxy would already be rolling down the mountain." The Holy Deer snorted at them.
That was the irrefutable truth that neither of them could easily refute. They could only keep playing inside the lake and purify their bodies while the Elder still played nicely...
