After all, the Heavenly Heart's divine abilities were not bound by the Outer and Inner Mountains and Rivers; all that was lacking was a powerful vessel.
The vacant shell of the Ghost Buddha, as an existence at the Immortal and Buddha level, could unleash immense power after being occupied by himself. In fact, this was precisely the case...
So close to success.
The Great Sun Tathagata remained silent, the wheel of light behind him expanding and growing larger, its booming, hollow sound echoing throughout the heavens.
His failure, the root of his downfall, was not due to the Demon Heavenly Master, nor Guanyin, nor Ksitigarbha, nor Christ, nor the North Pole.
It was solely due to Vajrapani.
The Demon Heavenly Master, or Christ, one could not show his face, and the other could not descend in person, creating a vast disparity compared to himself. Although the True Man of the North Pole suddenly produced a divine diagram and briefly entered the Heavenly Heart state, the fundamental reason was that Vajrapani did not wish for him to obtain the Primordial Beginning.
He was willing to be used, just as the Demon Heavenly Master had said. And the final outcome was also as he had predicted.
At the last moment, he should have been able to withstand the divine abilities of the North Pole and the others.
But the connection between his spiritual body and his true form was severed. Only the four Heavenly Hearts in the human realm possessed such profound means. It was not just Vajrapani; the Purple Robed God and the Six Heavenly Envoys were also involved.

More or less, after detaching from the Primordial Divine Position, they had all obtained unique forms and spirits representing the power of the Primordial. The emergence of the Divine Position of the Heavenly Venerable of the Primordial represented the fundamental source of the world, an existence akin to Sound King and Primordial Beginning, or rather, their powers were originally one thing, merely manifesting in different states within different sects.
But the Heavenly Venerable of the Primordial had always existed in the Great Fu Li, never disappearing, while Sound King and Primordial Beginning Buddha were merely realms in Buddhist legends. "We thought that among us, the Five Dhyani Buddhas, we were all each other. You are in me, and I am in you. If you attain the Primordial, we also become the Primordial. The Five Buddhas return as one, merging into a single entity."
Ratna Sambhava looked at the Great Sun Tathagata and shook his head repeatedly. The Great Sun Tathagata said, "Now all the Buddhas wish to welcome back King Thousand Lights Tathagata. This child is destined to achieve the Tathagata fruit, and I cannot obstruct it. The future is already set."
"But that Primordial position, I must take it. Next time, I will only discuss it with the Buddhas, without harming King Thousand Lights' body, only taking the Primordial Divine Position."
"We saw, it is not that simple." Western Amitabha, in Esoteric Buddhism, Amitabha is called Amr̥ta, while in Pure Land Buddhism, he is called Infinite Life Buddha. The name Amitabha appears in many Buddhist sects, as Amitabha himself possesses immeasurable power, thus having differentiated bodies in all Buddhist schools.
"An supreme being has chosen him. If there is a second battle, many preparations will be needed. Otherwise, the matter cannot be accomplished, and it will bring great disaster to Esoteric Buddhism."

Amoghasiddhi Buddha said, "His desires are great, his schemes are profound, he spreads his marks widely, opens up merit in the human world, and seals the gates of hell for the dead. Speaking of which, in Buddhism, Vajrapani originally appeared as the Nirvana body after the passing of Shakyamuni Buddha, to protect Buddhism in an era without Buddhas, possessing the power to subdue heavenly demons and external paths, and protect the true Buddha."
"He is the greatest outsider. If evil, he is no less than Mara. Esoteric Buddhism is a great teaching of Buddhism, and of course, it cannot be toyed with by him. Since he wishes to borrow your retribution and empower the North Pole, it would be best to make a great Buddhist move on this matter."
The Five Dhyani Buddhas exchanged glances, the fire wheel behind them rotated, and they all nodded.
"To destroy the Heavenly Heart and extinguish the Buddha Dharma, one must receive karmic retribution. But if the North Pole is made to receive retribution, and after Nirvana, he will be Nirvana in the form of King Thousand Lights Tathagata, then let us plant another retribution for him."
"At this time, we can use 'Reversing Cause and Effect.' If retribution is not achieved, it becomes 'Cause Retribution'!"
"Destroying the Heavenly Heart is the result, and a calamity will surely be the cause in the future."
The Five Dhyani Buddhas simultaneously reversed this karmic retribution. If the original order was that destroying the Heavenly Heart was the cause of this matter, and suffering a calamity was the retribution to be received later, then at this moment, destroying the Heavenly Heart became the result of the event, while suffering a calamity became the cause of the event.
The effect has been determined and cannot be changed, but the cause has not yet occurred, which will lead to the breakdown of cause and effect.
And Ji Xiang, in the future, will receive "Cause Retribution," which is that the Five Dhyani Buddhas will appear before him once again, and at the moment of their encounter, time will reverse to the moment before the next action to be taken.
Infinite regression! As long as he moves forward, he will enter an infinite cycle! He cannot reach the "cause" of the event's occurrence, nor can he change the "effect" that has already occurred!
And the one who performs the "Cause Retribution" can infinitely cycle the cause of this matter until it leads to the "effect" they desire!
"This 'Cause Retribution' will not occur as long as Dharma Master of the North Pole does not attain the Primordial position."
"Vajrapani desires the Primordial position, but he underestimates us. The moment Vajrapani attains his position, he will be pulled back to the cause of the event. Having done the action of this cause, he will receive retribution."
"If he does not kill me, he cannot resolve the 'Cause Retribution,' but if he wishes to kill me, he must break free from the infinite cycle of 'Cause Retribution.' He will always see me, and will never be able to kill me."
"Because the Buddha nature on Dharma Master of the North Pole will cause Vajrapani to be eternally trapped in the moment before attaining the Primordial, and the 'Cause Retribution' will be infinitely superimposed upon him."
The Great Sun Tathagata felt that since Vajrapani was tormenting him so much, he should torment him in return.
This "Cause Retribution" is stored in the netherworld, waiting only for the Heavenly Heart power on Ji Xiang to fade before descending upon him.
