Chapter 105: Jelly, the Life Slime
[Ding! Would you like to Extract the target Lv55 Slime Emperor? Cost: 23 EP!]
"Yes."
[Please choose what to extract!]
[Slime Emperor Memory Fragment]
[Life Slime]
[Absorbed Impact (Rare)]
"Hmm... memories?" Gabriel frowned.
He quickly pulled out the first option. From its name alone, Gabriel could tell that it would allow him to recall memories of the Slime Emperor, which wasn’t really needed.
So he narrowed his choices down to the second and third.
His eyes locked onto both. ’I’m sure that’s a summon just like Geizzlenaught, and Absorbed Impact is pretty self-explanatory.’
However, Gabriel already had a skill like Iron Body, which made his skin so tough that not even a bullet could penetrate it.
Absorbed Impact was a similar skill and wasn’t really needed, so he skipped over it.
In the end, he chose the Life slime.
[Ding! You have extracted the Giant Slime Emperor’s unborn child, Life Slime.]
And right in front of him, following a burst of purple light, a blue slime the size of a soccer ball appeared.

Gabriel quickly read through the description, impressed with what he saw.
Basically, the slime was a walking health potion!
The little creature jumped and landed atop Gabriel’s shoulder, then fell asleep peacefully, its body glowing light blue.
’So beautiful.’ Anna cried inwardly, resisting the urge to stroke the baby slime’s body.
Noticing that someone was staring at it intently, the baby slime opened its eyes and fired a ball of goo from its body.
"Uh!" Anna’s eyes widened when she saw it. However, before she could react—
The slime ball landed squarely on her face.
The baby slime giggled mischievously, and Anna’s expression darkened.
At that moment, a notification flashed across her retina.
[Ding! Your health has increased by 100 HP.]
"This..." Anna was shocked, not expecting the harmless-looking slime to be capable of something like this.
Gabriel smirked and explained with a proud look on his face, "It’s a life slime... its goo is a treasure."
Anna wiped the slime goo from her face and muttered under her breath, "It did feel kind of nice though..."
The slime wiggled proudly on Gabriel’s shoulder, clearly pleased with itself. It spun around in place like a puppy asking for praise.
Gabriel chuckled and reached up to pat it. "You’re alright. I’ll call you... Jelly."
The slime let out a bubbly sound in approval.
And so, Anna, Gabriel, and Jelly returned to Stellar City. All the while, Jelly napped peacefully on his shoulder.
---
The first thing they did was return the truck to the establishment located on the outskirts of the capital.
Grey’s Rentals.
It was a business owned by the Grey family, and they had over 200 trucks ready to be leased.
The one who had lent Gabriel the Kelsa truck watched it with hawk-like eyes, hoping to find even a scratch.
’Tsk. Lucky.’ He clicked his tongue.
"You can go," he waved his hand casually. "Thank you for doing business with us! See you another time"
"Hopefully not," Gabriel replied bluntly as he stepped outside.
He had already planned to sell off some treasures and get his own truck to make traveling the wilderness easier.
As Anna and Gabriel walked away, they drew looks from nearby female adventurers.
"That slime looks so adorable!"
"I want to hug it!"
"Hey mister, can I touch—"
Gabriel ignored everyone and walked into the city, causing the girls to frown in displeasure.
Jelly blinked innocently at the crowd, then blew a bubble in response.
"Tsk! Why is he so rude?"
"Who does he think he is?"
"Tsk, I hate him already and we don’t even know him."
Among the crowd, two familiar individuals stepped out. Their gazes narrowed on Gabriel and Anna, and a chilling killing intent passed between them.
"That’s him," the first one pointed. "He’s the one who destroyed Neon’s base."
"Seems he turned that traitor into a slave," the other sneered.
"Should we make a move now?"
"No, not yet. Let’s wait until the event... that’s when we’ll strike."
---
Meanwhile, Gabriel and Anna returned to the Adventurer Guild. The two went to their separate rooms.
The following morning, Gabriel woke up feeling energized. When he stepped outside, he found a familiar face waiting.
"I was just about to knock," said Lilly, the professional secretary of the Adventurer Guild. She was dressed in a formal suit and a pair of glasses.
The suit clung tightly to her curvy figure, and if Gabriel were a pervert, his eyes would’ve been wandering all over her.
"Is there a problem?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. He had just been heading to the mission room to take a quest.
"An urgent meeting has been called by the Guild Master," Lilly said, adjusting her glasses. "You’re requested to attend immediately."
Without saying a word, Gabriel was led to the large meeting room, where key members of the guild were already present.
There were the likes of Scarlet, Sophie, Cassie, Brunt, and the annoying Alice, who smirked at him the moment he stepped inside.
There were a few more faces inside, each radiating the aura of at least level 50, but Gabriel didn’t recognize any of them aside from Brunt.
He sat in the empty seat, and Scarlet began.
"Thank you all for coming," she said. "I know most of you already have an idea why this meeting was called. We don’t have much time, so I’ll go straight to the point—"
She paused, her expression serious.
"—The Adventurer Guild will be joining the Inter-Guild Event this year."
A smile appeared on the faces of everyone present the moment they heard this.
