Chapter 741: Chapter 743: Dividing the Money

"Xu Nianhua figured it out with a knowing look."

Pei Yining immediately raised her hand, shaking her head repeatedly and said, "No, no, no, it was my own idea to keep you."

"Really, truer than true gold." Seeing Xu Nianhua didn’t believe her, Pei Yining specifically added that.

"Then..." Xu Nianhua drew out her tone and said, "Yining, during the summer vacation, I might need to stay for a while, but you mustn’t tell your brother."

"Ah!"

Pei Yining’s eyes widened as she looked at Xu Nianhua.

"Keep it a secret, and tell him after the holiday." Xu Nianhua smiled very happily, she had such a wonderful dream that night after they parted, even her lips curled up slightly when she woke up in the morning.

"Are you hiding something else from me?" Pei Yining pressed.

"Just that during the summer, I’ll be accompanying Professor Fei to host some foreign guests, but I’m just going there to learn," Xu Nianhua explained. It would take about half a month, and after that, she’d be heading home.

Pei Yining looked up to Xu Nianhua with admiration and gave her a thumbs-up, saying, "Awesome, but you’re the top of your English major, no doubt. Don’t say you’re just going to learn; even if you were to be a translator, I think you’d do just fine."

"The guests will be from France," Xu Nianhua corrected.

Pei Yining: "..."

If she remembered correctly, Xu Nianhua only started learning French this year, right?

How long has it been?

Half a year, and already joining Professor Fei to host guests from France?

"Time to split the money!"

After the holiday, once they finished their last translation order, Xu Nianhua and her friends gathered to split the money!

Since the studio opened, they had received fifteen orders, all through people they knew. Last time, each person got twenty dollars, but today’s money splitting was really meaningful.

"Wanwan, let’s work it out, expenses and income," Xu Nianhua asked Zhou Wanwan to bring out the ledger.

Fei Jiayi took out the money, a stack of it, which was quite considerable in amount.

Fei Jiayi and Liao Jinling’s families had always been wealthy, so they didn’t think much of it.

But it was different for Ding Guo and Chang Hui. Ding Guo’s family ran a small shop and was somewhat used to seeing money. Chang Hui, who came from the least affluent family in the dorm, was seeing this much money for the first time.

Oh, no, ever since Xu Nianhua and the others introduced the business of selling tea, Chang Hui had seen quite a lot of money. However, that was her parents’ money, so she didn’t feel much about it. Now, this money included her share, and she had earned it herself.

Zhou Wanwan kept very detailed accounts. The money they received for orders was counted as total income. Subtracting the money they divided last time, there was still exactly three hundred dollars left. Plus, on Saturdays and Sundays, they often were too busy to eat, eating nearby despite being frugal, which was another expense among others like paper etc.

After calculating all that, there was still two hundred sixty dollars left.

"Nianhua, we’ve decided, half of the money is yours, and the other half, we five will split equally," Fei Jiayi said after calculating the money, directly assigning one hundred thirty dollars to Xu Nianhua and dividing the remaining twenty-six dollars each among the others.

"No way."

Xu Nianhua rejected it without a second thought, saying, "We agreed to split it equally among all of us."
