Chapter 335: It’s for You

Chapter 335: Chapter 335: It’s for You

As she exited the hotel, she looked at the cars coming and going on the main road outside, full of confusion. Now, where was she supposed to find Old Sir Jiang and the others?

Ming Lan stood outside the hotel for quite a while until night fell before leaving.

What she didn’t know was that Old Sir Jiang and Old Madam Jiang were at Jiang Xue’s home. Previously, Old Sir Jiang had left Jiang Xue’s home in a hurry because of Jiang Mingzhu’s situation.

Now, they had already issued a statement severing ties with Jiang Mingzhu. Only then did they have the face to come to Jiang Xue, wanting to reconcile and bring Jiang Xue back into the Jiang Family.

So, they directly canceled the hotel room, planning to stay at Jiang Xue’s house for a few days to cultivate their relationship.

When Old Sir Jiang and the others arrived, Jiang Xue was not at home. It was Father Jiang who opened the door and welcomed the elderly couple in.

Although they didn’t like the ways of the Jiang Family, the elderly couple, after all, were Jiang Xue’s relatives and elders. Since they came, it wouldn’t be right to refuse them at the door.

So, when Jiang Xue returned from her apartment, she saw the elderly couple playing with Little Reunion. Upon asking, she realized the couple had been there most of the day, waiting for her to come back.

"Grandpa, Grandma, why are you looking for me?" After dinner, Jiang Xue asked the elderly couple about their intentions.

"Xue’er, regarding Mingzhu, it’s us who wronged you. Now, I have already issued a statement, severing ties with Mingzhu. She will no longer be part of the Jiang Family in the future."

"I already know about this matter." Jiang Xue nodded her head; she had long known about Old Sir Jiang’s statement.

However, she didn’t agree with their actions. No matter what, Jiang Mingzhu was still their granddaughter and had grown up with them for almost twenty years. How could they just sever ties like that?

This made Old Sir Jiang seem a bit heartless.

"I wonder if you can forgive your grandfather?" Old Sir Jiang looked at Jiang Xue with a face full of anticipation, expressing his desire for Jiang Xue’s forgiveness very vividly.

He truly looked like an elder who had made a mistake, pleading for forgiveness from the younger generation.

Yet, for some reason, this behavior didn’t stir any ripple or emotion in Jiang Xue’s heart.

So, Jiang Xue glanced at Old Sir Jiang indifferently and said, "Grandpa, it’s not about forgiving or not forgiving. To me, you are just my blood relatives and nothing more. No matter what you do, I won’t care."

As soon as Jiang Xue spoke, Old Sir Jiang’s expression turned unpleasant. At that, Old Madam Jiang directly scolded Jiang Xue, "Jiang Xue, how can you speak like that?"

"Isn’t it true?" Jiang Xue retorted, looking at Old Madam Jiang. She had never eaten a grain of rice from the Jiang Family nor drunk a sip of water. The ones who raised her were the Jiang Family Parents, not Old Sir Jiang and the others.

Whereas Jiang Mingzhu grew up amidst their love and care. And what was the final outcome? Severed ties.

Jiang Xue believed that if she ever infringed upon the Jiang Family’s interests or damaged their reputation, her fate wouldn’t necessarily be any better than Jiang Mingzhu’s.

"Don’t you know that your grandfather issued the statement for you? He severed ties with Mingzhu to stand up for you. And now, you’re not even a bit grateful. Do you have any conscience at all?"

Old Madam Jiang’s voice rose a few notches. What she said made not only Jiang Xue change her expression but also turned the faces of the Jiang Family Parents sour.
