San Tian Liang Jue
Chapter 283 Cloak Scramble (19)
At least in one thing, Shiva and Seven Murders were right—Feng Bujue had indeed been found by a certain "hero" in the script.
Perhaps it was at the behest of the so-called "Highest Will," or perhaps it was an arrangement by the system, but as Feng Bujue drove the car he'd gotten from Two-Face toward Wayne Manor, he encountered the one person he least wanted to see.
A shadow plunged straight down from the sky, landing with a thud on the hood of the car.
Feng Bujue reacted with lightning speed, slamming on the brakes, but the other party was not thrown off by the inertia. Instead, he stood there steadily.
A black cape, a dark-colored bodysuit, distinct muscle contours, and crimson eyes.
It was Jason Todd. The former second-generation Robin, later the Red Hood, and now the fake Batman.
Todd's Batman mask also had a metal mask attached, and his torso was slung with a row of bullets like Rambo. As Gotham City's most brutal hero, his biggest difference from the real Batman was… he used dual pistols and killed people.
Bang bang bang…
The windshield was shattered by a barrage of bullets, instantly adding six or seven bullet holes to the driver's seat.
Who was Feng Bujue? He wouldn't be killed by such an attack. The moment he saw that it was Todd, he activated Spiritual Sense Gathering without a word, kicked open the car door, and darted out. His movements were fluid and incredibly fast. If he had been even a fraction slower, he would have been riddled with holes.
"Where do you think you're going?" Todd was incredibly fast. Three seconds later, he had caught up with Feng Bujue in his Spiritual Sense Gathering state and launched a ruthless attack while speaking.
Feng Bujue couldn't dodge this attack. He took a solid knee strike to the back. For the ten seconds after being hit, Feng Bujue was in a state of suffocation, unable to breathe, and his chest was churning.
But he endured the pain, using the momentum to roll forward, and quickly revealed the bombs on his body. "Don't come any closer!" he shouted with the last of his breath.
Todd's movements faltered, and he didn't continue the attack.
"Haa… haa…" Feng Bujue knelt on one knee, taking a long time to catch his breath.
The two were now in the middle of a main road, but because of Gotham City's poor security situation, there were almost no pedestrians on the street, and very few vehicles. But in those dark alleys, pairs of sinister eyes were peering in their direction.
"This trick really works every time." Seeing that the situation was temporarily stable, Feng Bujue quickly deactivated Spiritual Sense Gathering, stopping the loss of his hit points. He stood up shakily and wiped his mouth. That hit had been really brutal, knocking his saliva out.
"You think I really care if you or anyone nearby gets blown up?" Todd's hoarse, low voice came from under his metal mask, sounding quite like the real Batman.
"Of course you don't care," Feng Bujue sneered. "I think… you just realized that the explosives strapped to my body are incredibly powerful. At this distance, even with the protection of Kevlar bodysuits and memory cloth polymer capes, you'd definitely be blown to smithereens along with me."
"Hmph…" Todd also sneered, putting away his twin pistols. "You seem to know a lot, kid… Your initial dodging of the bullets wasn't bad either."
"If I hadn't dodged those shots, we'd both be finished by now," Feng Bujue retorted.
"Yeah… I'll pay attention next time before I shoot people," Todd said sarcastically. "There are more and more people running around with bombs strapped to themselves these days."
"Ha!" Feng Bujue wouldn't lose to anyone in a吐槽 match. "Compared to someone impersonating Batman with guns, is it really that strange to run around with bombs?"
Todd's voice suddenly turned cold. "I *am* Batman."
"Hahahaha…" Feng Bujue got excited now. "Jason… Jason…" He directly spoke the other party's name. "What do you think Bruce would think if he saw you like this?"
This name undoubtedly touched Todd's sore spot, and he suddenly roared, "Don't mention that name in front of me!" he raged. "Who are you? How do you know…"
"Look at you…" Feng Bujue interrupted the other party. "You look absolutely ridiculous." He quoted a line from when Jason fought Tim in the comics: "Like a kid playing 'trick or treat.'"
Todd was silent for a few seconds, not further provoked. "You remind me of someone…"
"Hahahaha…" Feng Bujue intentionally imitated the Joker, letting out a crazy laugh. "What? Did seeing another Robin get killed remind you of something unpleasant?" He tried to distract the other party in order to find an opportunity to escape. "Do you think killing 'him' once on Earth-51 made you invincible? You should go get psychological treatment, Jason, because you're just as crazy as him."
"Enough!" Todd shouted, flicked his cape, and spun around.
His speed was extremely fast. Combined with the initial starting motion, he left an afterimage in Feng Bujue's eyes.
Superb skill and extraordinary physique made it difficult for Feng Bujue to parry. In the blink of an eye, the other party had closed in again, delivering another blow to his ribs.
Feng Bujue, who had been at full hit points, was left with only 27% of his health after two blows from Todd. The combat power of the heroes in this script was evident.
"Where's the detonator?" Todd grabbed Feng Bujue by the collar and demanded.
"Hehe… who knows? But I have to remind you, if I lose consciousness, for example… if you knock me unconscious, the bomb will also explode." Of course, Feng Bujue was lying, but his level of fabrication was obvious. Whether it was his expression or tone, he seemed incredibly confident.
"There are many ways to make you lose your ability to resist…" Todd grinned under his mask. "I've long wanted to try what this thing would do to you lunatics." In his hand, a small green bottle had appeared at some point.
With a flick of Todd's hand, a cloud of green smoke sprayed from the mouth of the bottle, rushing towards Feng Bujue's face.
"Cough… cough cough…" Under the other party's restraint, Feng Bujue was unable to avoid it at all, choking on several mouthfuls of this gas.
"Taste the taste of fear, you lunatic!" Todd said.
As soon as these words were spoken, Feng Bujue understood what he had inhaled. It was Scarecrow's (real name Jonathan Crane, super-villain, doctor of psychology and biochemistry, former Gotham University professor) fear toxin.
In the *Battle for the Cowl* comic, Todd stole some fear toxin from the Batcave and used it when fighting Nightwing. But he didn't expect that Nightwing had already been injected with vaccines against all known variants of the fear toxin, and he wouldn't be afraid at all, only experiencing a slight disorientation. Todd, thinking he had the situation under control, then revealed a flaw, which became the turning point for his eventual defeat by Nightwing.
"Hehe… hehehe…" About ten seconds later, Feng Bujue smiled at the other party. "Seriously, Jason, do you have any more of this stuff? Give me some more."
