Chapter 241: Wrath of the Overlord

Chapter 241: Wrath of the Overlord

The Void trembled.

The outer beings poured through the torn wound in the Cosmic Barrier, their hunger bleeding across reality like a black tide. They were countless, each step dragging cruelty and power into the battlefield. Their leader, Primus, stood at their front, eyes locked on Igaris with a grin that promised devastation.

The Overlord did not move. His cloak drifted in the weightless void, his blue eyes burning with unshakable resolve. Behind him, his wives and subordinates gathered, their auras blazing like living stars.

Evernight pressed her lips against Celestara’s forehead, whispering softly before drawing a seal in the air.

Shadows and light wove together, creating a rift that connected directly to Igaris’s inner cosmos. With gentle care, she sent the child through, placing her in the arms of Igaris’s parents within the eternal sanctuary he had forged.

"Stay safe, my star. Mama will carve the way for your father’s victory."

Only then did Evernight’s crimson eyes turn sharp, her expression twisting into wrath. A black halo of demonic flames flared behind her head, balanced by the blinding radiance of her angelic wings. She floated forward, her aura warping space itself.

"No one touches my daughter. Not this time."

Shirley stepped beside her, slender fingers brushing the strings of her zither. She had no need for words; the first note rang through the battlefield like liquid moonlight, rippling into the minds of the enemies. The sound pierced into their thoughts, twisting desire, bending will. Dozens of the outer beings froze mid-charge, their eyes clouding as they fell into her melody, enslaved to her rhythm.

Diva’s eyes glowed silver as she spread her arms wide. The battlefield around her dissolved, her figure and that of her chosen enemies sinking into another reality entirely. The Dream Dimension bloomed—an endless field of surreal skies and shifting landscapes. Here, Diva was queen absolute, her word law, her thought creation. Screams of confusion echoed as outer beings found their powers meaningless in her dominion.

Lilya stepped forward last, her body bursting apart into titanic brilliance. Her true form as Dragon Progenitor unfurled, scales the size of continents, wings eclipsing entire starfields. Her roar shook the battlefield, drowning entire armies in primal dread. Flames of every law she commanded surged from her body, melting foes by the dozens with each sweep of her colossal claws.

The generals answered in kind.

The Mountain King raised his colossal war-axe and swung once—one swing split a meteor cluster apart and cleaved through a swarm of enemies like chaff before a storm. Jian Longchen became a streak of sword light, every cut severing reality itself, carving through lines of enemies as if he were harvesting crops.

Malthius unleashed his necrotic domain. Corpses of slain outer beings twisted into new undead legions at his command, their hollow eyes turning against their own brethren. Dragon General Serynthia blazed through the battlefield, dragonfire painting the void in a storm of molten fury. Shadow Reaper flickered between shadows, each strike taking the head of a foe before vanishing into darkness once more.

The Supreme Gods allied with Igaris spread their radiance wide, each a blazing pillar of faith and fury. Together, the void became a canvas of colliding laws, of powers clashing so violently that even distant galaxies shuddered.

Yet at the center of it all, two figures remained locked in stillness: Igaris and Primus.

"You still glare at me like that, mongrel," Primus said, his voice low, vibrating through creation. "Do you think this is your redemption? No. You will taste the same despair again. Just as you did before."

In response, Igaris just raised his hand, fingers curling slowly into a fist. His aura ignited, a storm of laws surging outward. Genesis, Ruination, Fate, Space, Entropy, Fire, and more—all at their peak, all bending to his will.

"You broke me once," Igaris said, his voice calm, steady. "But breaking me only forged what I am now. Today, Primus, I am not the useless Overlord you defeated. I am the true Overlord. And this time, it will be you who kneels."

Primus’s grin twisted into laughter. "Then let us test your pitiful struggle."

The void exploded. "BOOOOOOOOOM!"

Their clash was instant. Igaris’s fist met Primus’s palm, and the shockwave rippled through the battlefield. Dozens of lesser outer beings disintegrated instantly, their forms erased by the sheer pressure of two titans colliding. Space shattered like fragile glass, fragments of reality spinning outward as burning shards.

Primus struck again, his hand glowing with voidfire that ate through dimensions. Igaris countered with World Destroying Finger, a strike so sharp it pierced the fire and carved straight through Primus’s arm. Yet the wound healed in seconds, void essence swirling to replace what was lost.

"You have power, mongrel," Primus sneered, launching a storm of blades formed from condensed ruin. "But your power means nothing from the place I come from."

Igaris’s cloak flared as he split into Limitless Doppelgangers, each wielding his laws with perfection. They intercepted the storm, redirecting each blade back toward Primus. The outer being snarled, voidfire shielding him as the redirected storm tore through his own army behind him.

The duel escalated.

Igaris unleashed Nuclear Fire Manipulation, condensing flames hotter than a collapsing star into his palm and detonating it against Primus’s chest.

"BOOOOOM!"

The explosion expanded outward, swallowing an entire field of enemies in blazing annihilation. Yet Primus rose from the flames, body regenerating even as ash fell from his wounds.

In response, Primus extended his arms wide. The void itself bent, warping into a black ocean of hunger. "I am not bound by your pitiful laws. I am the Primodial void that devours all!" He surged forward, striking with claws of entropy that shredded even time.

Igaris countered with Space-Time Domain, freezing the battlefield around them, forcing Primus’s movements into slowed resistance. His Architect’s Eyes glowed, analyzing every ripple, every weakness in his foe’s essence. He struck with Soul Eclipse, piercing through layers of protection and leaving cracks in Primus’s very spirit.

The void shook with each exchange, and then—

"CRACK!"

A sound split existence.

The Universal Barrier behind them shattered, torn open by the sheer violence of their duel. Beyond it lay the Chaotic Cosmos, a storm of madness and primordial energy, swirling with colors no mind could comprehend, voices of forgotten gods screaming across eternity. Its presence pressed inward, devouring fragments of reality like moths before flame.

Gasps erupted across the battlefield. Even the Supreme Gods faltered as they glimpsed the true abyss outside the universe. The outer beings laughed, exhilarated by the breach.

"See that. That’s the place we come from. To people like us, You’re all insignificant."

But Igaris did not falter.

His gaze remained locked on Primus, his golden eyes burning brighter than ever. "So be it. If the barrier falls, then I will carry creation on my back. But you... I will not let you go back."

"How dare you..." Primus roared, void essence exploding outward as his form shifted, growing larger, monstrous wings tearing free from his back, horns like jagged spires erupting from his skull. "You cannot stop me, mongrel! I ended you once. I will end you again!"

Igaris answered in kind. His form blazed with Ancient Titan Transformation, his body towering, muscles carved from divine flame and endless stone. His aura surged into infinity, his presence eclipsing even stars.

They clashed again, titan against titan, their strikes shaking the foundations of existence.

Every punch shattered voidspace. Every kick warped time itself. Their roars drowned galaxies. Their battle became the center of the war, so overwhelming that both armies momentarily faltered just to witness it.

Yet while they fought, the others carried their battles with fury born of vengeance.

Evernight became a storm of black flame and radiant light, wings tearing through enemy ranks as she unleashed both demonic corruption and angelic purity, annihilating all in her path.

Shirley’s zither filled the battlefield with irresistible harmony, enslaving more and more enemies, turning the tide as foes turned their blades against one another.

Within her Dream Dimension, Diva crushed her prey mercilessly, bending reality itself to bind, burn, and erase them. Her enemies screamed as they realized no escape was possible in her dream.

Lilya soared across the battlefield, her dragon body eclipsing the void. Her claws tore through enemy titans, her flames melted their strongest, and her wings scattered whole legions with each beat.

The generals held strong. The Mountain King carved through waves of enemies. Jian Longchen’s sword split entire battlefields. Malthius’s undead legions swelled endlessly, while Serynthia’s firestorm burned through swarms that sought to flank.

But even as their combined might tore the tide apart, all eyes returned to the duel at the heart of the battlefield.

Igaris and Primus collided again, their clash so violent that a nearby forgotten galaxy imploded into nothingness. Chaos bled thicker through the breach, threatening to swallow all.

Igaris’s voice thundered through the void. "This time, I will not lose my children. I will not lose my wives. I will not lose my world. Primus, your end begins here!"

Primus roared back, voice shaking the abyss: "Then come, Mongrel! Show me if you can defy the inevitable!"

Their fists met once more, and the hollow universe trembled.
