Chapter 401: Unexpected Discovery
It was late at night in Virginia, USA.
Ye Ningyuan was in his study, looking at the security footage from the GK East Hotel. He had confirmed that the footage had not been tampered with. It was not easy to figure out what happened to Wen Nuan just from this footage.
He had watched it for two nights straight and couldn’t figure anything out.
He had heard about what happened between Ye Feimo and Wen Nuan. Wen Nuan was a public figure, and something so big had happened that the whole world knew about it, so he couldn’t not know. He called Cheng Anya and asked for the details. He also helped her with the footage and only recently had time to look at it.
Ye Ningyuan was very knowledgeable. Xu Nuo was very interested in pharmacology. The two of them had a lot of experience with this kind of information, and they both had good memories. He had looked up a lot of information, but he couldn’t find any drug that would make Wen Nuan have this kind of reaction.
It didn’t seem like she had been drugged.

Three terrorist organizations over there want to intercept these weapons and supplies. My people are following up on the investigation. Two of my colleagues were injured and have withdrawn. We’ve been having meetings to discuss this issue for the past few days," Xu Nuo said. She glanced at Ye Ningyuan. "You’ve been trading with the Middle East so much lately. Don’t you know they’re preparing for war?"
"I know. That’s why I’m providing them with weapons," Ye Ningyuan said with a half-smile. "The war won’t reach North America. Besides, when is there not a war going on over there?"

Xu Nuo smiled and didn’t say anything. She suddenly said "hmm" and rewound the tape. Ye Ningyuan asked, "What’s wrong? Did you find something?"
"Wen Nuan wasn’t drugged." Xu Nuo said calmly. She zoomed in on the footage. Because the security camera was high up, she couldn’t see Wen Nuan’s expression, only her movements. Xu Nuo frowned. "Look at the way she walks from the time she gets up to the time she gets the room. Do you notice that her posture is very strange?"

"Right. A normal person’s walking speed can’t be so consistent. Besides, she’s walking in a straight line. Look when she gets to the elevator. She clearly walks a little past it and then turns back.
