Chapter 387: Taking a Break
Ye Feimo had told her a while ago that he would take her on a trip to Japan after she finished this film. This was the perfect season, and it was something she had always wanted to do. Cai Xiaojing had already given her three scripts to choose from. She really liked a film that another production company was working on. A film had won big at the Golden Statue Awards and the University Film Festival, and Wen Nuan had won awards at both of those important film ceremonies. On top of that, the TV show *Princess Qing Lian* was a hit. Zhuo Bingbing, Wen Nuan, Chen Hang, and Chen Xueru became popular celebrities. The ratings for the TV show continued to rise until the end, creating a craze for period dramas. One TV show and one film cemented Wen Nuan’s status as a top actress. With Anning’s full support, she was also getting some big endorsement deals. She had clearly become the most-watched celebrity in the entertainment industry this year.
When a person becomes famous, they get busy, and their work increases.
Wen Nuan and Cai Xiaojing were only able to get about ten days off. Since Ye Feimo and Wen Nuan made a decade-long promise by the river, he was no longer as against her career. But to film in Paris for a few months, she was still worried that Ye Feimo would object.
Ye Feimo couldn’t take a lot of time off. If they were to go to Japan, they could only go for four or five days at most. Wen Nuan didn’t mind. Four or five days was better than nothing. For the first few days, she could rest at home and spend time with her family.

As soon as he covered her with the blanket, his phone rang. It was a long-distance call from Cheng Anya. Ye Feimo was afraid of waking Wen Nuan, so he took his phone to the living room to answer it. Ye Wei had heard about this and told Ye Sanshao. Cheng Anya also found out and was a little worried. They weren’t superstitious, but people from the inner circle were not to be messed with.
She was still afraid after what happened with Xu Nuo. Ye Ningyuan had waited and suffered for so many years. Even though she was reborn, the original Xu Nuo had died, and she was reborn in someone else’s body.

"Mom, when did you start believing in these things? It’s fine," Ye Feimo said softly. "You and Dad should just have fun. I’ll handle everything with Wen Nuan."
"Did Mo Yao tell you about the curse? That a person who marries a woman from the Long family will die before they turn 30? Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Cheng Anya asked in a low voice. She paused. "I’m not being superstitious, but everyone knows what happened to your sister-in-law. We have no choice but to believe it."
Ye Feimo stood by the French window and looked at the darkness outside. He asked calmly, "What do you want me to do, Mom? Wen Nuan and I are already married. It’s already a fact. Do you want us to get a divorce?"
"What did I say to make you think that?" Cheng Anya wanted to strangle him. "What I mean is, you should take Wen Nuan to the Long family and ask if there’s a solution."
"Mo Yao’s investigation shows that the Long family has been living under fake names and are nowhere to be found since the war with the Miao family. Who knows where they are?" Ye Feimo said. He didn’t want Wen Nuan to find them.
"If you really want to find them, you will," Cheng Anya said. "Good boy, listen to me."
"I’ll think about this myself. Mom, it’s not like I’m going to turn 30 tomorrow. We still have a few years."
"You’re unbelievable..."
"Okay, Mom, I’m going to rest. You and Dad should go have dinner. No more talking," Ye Feimo said with a laugh and hung up. Cheng Anya was stunned and heartbroken. *She was talking too much?* Her son said she was talking too much.
She put down her phone and turned to Ye Sanshao. "What part of what I said was too much?"
Ye Sanshao replied with a laugh, "When people get old, they talk too much. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one."
Cheng Anya was speechless.
The next day, Wen Nuan woke up at noon. Ye Feimo was already at work. She was finally able to sleep until she woke up naturally. He had fixed her phone and placed it on the nightstand. The battery was full, and it was fully functional.
She didn’t have much to do today. After eating something, she planned to go see a play. Tang Mandong called her and asked her to play golf. Wen Nuan readily agreed. Besides Tang Mandong, Tang Shuwen and Su Ran were also there.
Wen Nuan had just learned how to play golf. After she and Ye Feimo got together, he would often play golf with Lin Ning and Tang Shuwen. She had come a few times and begged Ye Feimo to teach her. She had learned the basics but wasn’t very good.

Wen Nuan didn’t expect to run into Dudi and Du Yueying after playing a round of golf with Tang Mandong. They were also at the Green Light Golf Course. Du Yueying looked at her with an undeniable look of hostility.
