The third meeting was at his Westerley Estate. Since returning from Bayside, his grandmother had been gravely ill, staying hidden in her room, and she had somehow become his grandmother’s personal cook.
Now, Hayden Crawford realized how off track he had been. His focus had been on how she used her beauty to seduce him—for example, deliberately looking at his car to draw his attention the first meeting, unexpectedly falling into his arms the second meeting, and ending up asleep in his bed the third time.
He blamed her beauty for clouding his mind. He secretly liked this affair, half-heartedly pretending not to want her, but being willing to keep her like those old executives did.
All his attention was misguided. Now, he realized the primary question was why his terminally ill grandmother would suddenly recover after seeing Serena Sterling, why Ronda went wild seeing her, and even Beryl became particularly fond of her.
Everyone around him seemed very familiar with her, including his father!
Why?
These past days, he kept wondering why, and there was only one answer.
Her ex-husband, that brief marriage, her past, all linked to someone.
That someone was him!

Dr. Kane was a hypnosis master. Corvus hesitated, "Young Master, why are you contacting Dr. Kane?"
Hayden Crawford put one hand in his pocket, tapping his cigarette in the ashtray with his handsome downturned eyes, and slowly said, "I need to undergo hypnosis to retrieve the lost part of my memory."
