When one has something weighing on their mind, sleep is elusive. Fortunately, in the dead of night, a Pokémon appeared by Shen Yu's bedside. Already a light sleeper, the sudden appearance of a Pokémon startled her awake.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Shen Yu looked at the Pokémon beside her bed. "Meng Jie, is something the matter?"
Mewtwo replied, "I knew you weren't asleep. Go back to sleep peacefully, the matter in the snowy mountains has been resolved."
Shen Yu blinked in surprise. Losing Arceus's plate was such a significant event, and it was resolved so easily? The whole thing sounded rather bizarre.
Mewtwo explained, "Although the Ice-type plate wasn't recovered, there are still ways to prevent the rapid melting of the snow mountain."
Shen Yu conceded that it made sense. There could be other things with similar effects to the Ice-type plate; if quality wasn't enough, quantity could compensate.
With Mewtwo's reassurances, Shen Yu could finally get some rest. As for pursuing the thief who stole the Ice-type plate, Shen Yu felt it was more appropriate to leave it to Mewtwo. After all, Mewtwo traveled by rocket; she couldn't afford to offend such a person.
Despite insufficient sleep, Shen Yu, who had managed to sleep well enough, decided the next day to leave Xue Tian City and explore other places. She had initially intended to look for Diancie, but after the events of the past couple of days, Shen Yu understood that some places were inaccessible without someone to guide her. Shen Yu took the bundle containing the egg. "An egg? What kind of egg is it?"
Mu Qingqing shook her head. "I don't know. When I found it, there were no Pokémon around it, but I believe it might be a Pokémon from our ranch. Take it. Once it hatches, it might even be able to help you travel."
"Alright, I'll accept it. Thank you."
Mu Qingqing smiled. "What are you thanking me for? What's our relationship? Besides, there's Xiaolao Da's goodwill involved. But speaking of which, are you leaving?"
Shen Yu glanced at her luggage. "I was planning to leave, but now I can't. Pokémon eggs aren't allowed on airplanes, nor are they allowed on trains. I'll have to hatch this egg first. I can't exactly travel on foot, can I?"
Mu Qingqing chuckled upon hearing this. "I knew it. Alright, let's not stay here anymore. Come and stay at the ranch. I won't charge you, and I can take a good look at what Pokémon this egg is."
Thus, at Mu Qingqing's warm invitation, Shen Yu finally left the Yangyang Inn and moved to the Yangyang Ranch.
