Wang Yu
Chapter 6 White-Robed Youth
Liu Le'er intended to cast a spell to stop the azure strange horse, but her mind wavered, and the magic power within her body malfunctioned, causing her to let out a cry of surprise.
In the nick of time, she only felt a shadow fall before her eyes. It was Liu Shi who suddenly took a step forward, his tall figure blocking her. At the same time, he extended a hand with lightning speed, grabbing the strange horse's neck, which was as thick as a bucket, and his body collided with the azure strange horse.
With a loud "Boom!"
The azure strange horse, in a high-pitched whinny, seemed to have crashed into a giant wall. Its massive body stopped abruptly. Due to the excessive momentum, even the hard stone slabs on the nearby street were shattered by its iron hooves.
The silver carriage, under the effect of inertia, crashed head-on into the azure strange horse's rear end, flying sideways several feet away, and then landing heavily on the ground with a "bang."
Although the carriage didn't flip over completely, its shape was greatly changed, and various odds and ends fell to the ground.
The coachman, even more so, lost his balance and almost fell directly from the carriage.
The tall youth, however, remained motionless on the spot, as if rooted.
The surrounding crowd was stunned by the sight. Someone in a nearby teahouse even exclaimed, "Divine strength!"
Liu Le'er patted her chest, and when she looked at the tall figure blocking her, she felt a warmth in her heart.
In the past few years, whenever she encountered any danger, "Brother Stone" would instinctively step forward like this.
Their relationship was already closer than family.
The azure strange horse, blocked by Liu Shi, became even more manic. It whinnied and lowered its head, slamming its huge head into Liu Shi's chest.
"Brother Stone, be careful!" Liu Le'er exclaimed in alarm.
Liu Shi was expressionless. He increased the force of the arm holding the horse's neck and pressed down.
With a "thump," the strange horse's legs buckled, and its huge body was directly pressed to the ground, kneeling. The surrounding stone slabs shattered completely.
Its entire body seemed to be pressed down by a mountain, its bones almost falling apart. The bloodlust in its eyes faded, revealing a look of fear.
Faced with Liu Shi, whose strength far exceeded its own, the strange horse finally became obedient, lying docilely on the ground, not daring to move.
"What great strength! The force of this horse beast's collision is probably no less than four or five thousand catties, yet this man can easily stop it!"
"Amazing!"
"I was wondering whose carriage it was, daring to run rampant in the busy city. If it weren't for this strong man stopping it, who knows how many people would have suffered!"
The surrounding crowd finally reacted and began to discuss among themselves.
Only then did Liu Shi release his arm woodenly and stand still.
Although the azure strange horse was no longer restrained, it still dared not get up from the ground, panting heavily.
"Brother Stone, are you alright?" Liu Le'er quickly stepped forward to check Liu Shi's body. Seeing that he was unharmed, she breathed a sigh of relief.
The coachman had long lost all color in his face. Seeing that the strange horse had been subdued, he slumped weakly on the carriage shaft.
Just then, the carriage door was pushed open, and two pale-faced young men jumped out.
The first one was a man in his twenties, wearing a moon-white Confucian robe and with handsome features.
The other looked only seventeen or eighteen years old, with a face like jade, clear black and white eyes, and rosy lips and white teeth. He was wearing a snow-white robe, a jade belt around his waist, and a jade crown on his head, inlaid with a pearl the size of a pigeon egg. His demeanor was far superior to his Confucian-robed companion.
"You dog slave, how did you drive the carriage? You almost killed this young master!" The Confucian-robed youth, his face still filled with fear, snatched the whip from the coachman's hand and lashed out wildly.
The coachman was beaten with streaks of blood, but he dared not dodge, kneeling on the ground and kowtowing repeatedly, begging for mercy.
Seeing this, the Confucian-robed youth's face grew even more furious, and he whipped even faster.
"Hurry, stop! It's someone from the Yu family!"
"This is none of our business, don't say any more."
...
Upon seeing the true identities of the two men, the nearby discussions came to an abrupt halt. The gazes of the crowd towards the two men all became timid, clearly recognizing them.
"Second Brother, enough. It's not his fault. After all, this Azure Wind Horse is a low-level demon beast, inherently wild."
An arm suddenly reached out and blocked the Confucian-robed man's wrist, preventing the whip from falling. It was the younger white-robed youth, whose voice was like tinkling spring water, exceptionally pleasant to the ear.
The Confucian-robed youth glanced at the white-robed youth, his lips twitching. He then snorted and threw away the whip.
"Thank you, Seventh Young Master!" The coachman kowtowed repeatedly to the white-robed youth.
"Get up. Take these silvers and compensate the people and shops injured by the carriage. If you handle this well, your punishment will be reduced." The white-robed youth took out a bag and handed it to the coachman.
"Yes, yes." The coachman nodded repeatedly, took the silvers, and walked towards those who had been injured.
"Thanks to this brother for subduing the Azure Wind Horse. It's a small matter that my brothers and I were injured, but if others had been hurt, we would be deserving of ten thousand deaths." The white-robed youth turned to look at Liu Shi and bowed with a smile.
Seeing this, the Confucian-robed youth also glanced at Liu Shi. Seeing his ordinary face, dark skin, and simple blue robe, which made him look somewhat poor, his expression immediately became somewhat contemptuous, and he gave a perfunctory bow.
Liu Shi's gaze was wooden, and he didn't say a word.
The Confucian-robed youth had never been ignored like this before, and his face immediately showed anger, about to flare up, but he was stopped by the white-robed youth.
The youth carefully sized up Liu Shi, noticing the strangeness in his eyes. A thought immediately occurred to him.
More and more people were gathering around. Liu Le'er felt a little uneasy and pulled Liu Shi, whispering, "Brother Stone, let's go."
The white-robed youth now noticed Liu Le'er. After seeing her delicate face like a porcelain doll, his eyes lit up. He quickly hurried forward and stopped them, saying:
"Please wait, both of you."
"What is it?" Liu Le'er stopped and frowned, her small face looking somewhat fierce as she asked.
"My name is Yu Qi. Just now, the carriage from my estate lost control and almost injured you two. I am deeply sorry." The white-robed youth said with a smiling face.
"We're fine, let us pass." Liu Le'er said with a stern face.
"Today's matter was thanks to this brother's help. If I don't repay him, I will feel uneasy. The Yu estate is not far from here. Could you both come to my residence for a visit, so that I can do my part as the host?" Yu Qi said slowly.
"No need, what happened just now was just a small effort. My brother and I have other matters to attend to." Le'er shook her head without hesitation and tried to lead Liu Shi around the person in front of them.
"Wait a moment, could your so-called important matter be seeking medical treatment for your brother?" Yu Qi flashed in front of the two again, blocking their way. After looking at the tall youth, he suddenly asked with a serious expression.
"You... how do you know about this?" Le'er was startled, revealing a surprised expression.
"I have a very sensitive nose. You have a slight scent of herbs on you, so you must have just come from the nearby Yeju Pharmacy. This brother, although his strength is astonishing, seems to have some mental impairment, so that's what I guessed. It seems I was right." Yu Qi looked at the Yeju Pharmacy not far away and smiled brightly. Although he was dressed as a man, a hint of unusual charm emerged from that smile.
Even Le'er, as a woman who looked even younger, was stunned for a moment. But she immediately turned her head to look at Liu Shi next to her. Seeing that her "Brother Stone" was still expressionless, she felt a slight sense of relief in her heart for some unknown reason.
At this time, the white-robed youth had already restrained his "amazing" smile and continued:
"Little sister, our Yu family has some influence in this Mingyuan City and knows many famous doctors. If you're seeking medical treatment, we should be able to help."
"That's right, we've come to Mingyuan City for medical treatment, but ordinary doctors can't cure my brother's illness." Liu Le'er still shook her head.
"It seems your brother's illness is not ordinary. But it doesn't matter. Our Yu family has an Immortal Master guest, whose medical skills are outstanding, far surpassing ordinary secular doctors. Why not have him take a look at your brother? What do you think?" Yu Qi frowned slightly at first, but after glancing at Liu Shi and Le'er, he clapped his hands and smiled again.
"Immortal Master..." Liu Le'er's eyes lit up, and she hesitated a little.
"Please don't refuse, brother and sister. Let me do my best to help. It's not that I'm boasting, but although there are other Immortal Masters in Mingyuan City, if we're talking about medical skills, the one in our Yu estate is second to none." Yu Qi said proudly, his eyes circling slightly.
"Alright, we can go back with you. But if this Immortal Master can't cure my brother, we'll have to leave immediately." Liu Le'er was finally moved by the white-robed youth's last words and reluctantly agreed.
"Of course. By the way, may I ask your names?" Yu Qi was overjoyed that Liu Le'er agreed and immediately asked.
Liu Le'er hesitated for a moment and gave her and Liu Shi's names.
"So you're Sister Le'er and Brother Liu Shi." Yu Qi nodded repeatedly.
"Seventh Brother, these two have unknown origins. How can you just bring them home and even ask a Real Person to treat him?" The Confucian-robed youth, who had been left aside for a long time, looked unhappy and couldn't help but interrupt.
"It's alright, I know what I'm doing. Second Brother doesn't need to worry." Yu Qi waved his hand and said casually.
The Confucian-robed youth seemed to be somewhat afraid of this younger brother of his. His lips moved a few times, as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he didn't say it.
At this moment, several guards wearing bright clothes and swords hurried over from a distance.
The nearby onlookers scattered in a rush, seeming to be very afraid of these people.
The guards ignored the surrounding people and quickly stepped forward, bowing to Yu Qi and the other man.
"Seventh Young Master, Second Young Master, we are late. Please punish us, Young Masters."
"We're fine, no need to make a fuss. Take the carriage back first, and don't make a big deal out of this." Yu Qi said indifferently.
"Yes."
The guards nodded subserviently and quickly pulled up the azure strange horse, leaving quickly.
"You two, please follow me." The white-robed youth smiled at Liu Le'er and the other man after finishing these things and led the way.
Liu Le'er looked at Liu Shi again, tightened her grip on his hand, and followed behind Yu Qi.
The Confucian-robed youth looked at the departing figures, his face becoming even more unsightly. He stood there for a while before stomping his foot, giving a cold snort, and following.
...
"Haha, interesting! She's the one who's said to have good cultivation aptitude, the one that Feng Kingdom's prime minister was originally planning to spend a lot of effort to send to the Cold Flame Sect, right?" Not far away, at an inconspicuous corner of the street, two figures suddenly turned around. The one in front, a black-clothed youth with slender eyes, looked at the direction Yu Qi and the others had gone, saying with a sinister expression, his face full of indescribable wickedness.
"Junior Brother, be careful. It's said that the Yu family also has rogue cultivators stationed there, and not just one. Don't be too careless." The other person behind the black-clothed youth was a skinny gray-clothed man with several bulging animal skin bags hanging from his waist. He also looked at the backs of the Yu family and the others, saying slowly.
"Senior Brother Fan, I know what to do. But this time's Yu family is my first trial mission. You're just here to assist me. Unless there's a special reason, there's no need for you to take action. I'll take care of everything myself." The black-clothed youth heard this, but didn't think much of it.
Seeing this, the gray-clothed man smiled bitterly and said nothing more.
He knew very well the nature of his junior brother. Although his cultivation wasn't high, he had a relative elder in the sect as his backer, and he had always looked down on other same-level brothers.
As they spoke, their figures blurred, and they disappeared from the spot.
