Chapter 1237 Fierce Battle with Ghost Spirit Child

Lanyan stood beside Han Li, her heart filled with shock as she watched the surrounding void congeal.

Han Li, however, frowned deeply. He raised his hand and slashed his sword forward.

"Boom!" A thunderous explosion erupted.

A golden pillar of lightning burst forth, blasting a massive channel, dozens of feet in diameter, through the imprisoned ghosts.

Through the hollow passage, Han Li could directly see the giant ghost face on the wall.

He hadn't seen it clearly in the rush earlier, but now Han Li noticed the difference in the ghost face.

Its features were very similar to those of a human, but its mouth was opened so wide that it distorted its entire face, making it look more like a demon beast.

On top of its head, it wore a strange crown, seemingly adorned with beaded curtains in front and back, resembling the imperial crown of a secular dynasty, exuding a grim majesty.

Inside its bloody maw, two rows of terrifying white teeth were visible, with two pairs of sharp canines on both the upper and lower jaws.

Between the gaps in its canines, faint golden light flickered.

Han Li was slightly surprised. Focusing his gaze, he discovered that the flecks of gold were actually tiny golden swords, still shimmering with golden lightning—his Azure Bamboo Bee Cloud Swords.

With a thought, he took a step forward, his figure flashing as he shot through the empty channel, heading straight for the giant ghost face.

"Heh heh... I've been waiting for you." A chillingly cold, mocking voice suddenly came from outside the formation.

Gui Lingzi's arms shot out abruptly, his hands forming seals at lightning speed, and he thrust them toward the formation.

In an instant, all the ghosts imprisoned by Han Li's spirit domain began to move at the same time.

The ghosts around the opening immediately pressed inward, and Han Li was instantly surrounded by a swarm of ghosts.

"Get out of the way..."

Han Li roared, his longsword spinning like a windmill, and golden lightning bolts shot out from it. Any ghosts that approached were instantly reduced to blue smoke, unable to stop him in the slightest.

Just as he was about to break out of the ghost swarm, the ghosts in front of Han Li suddenly scattered.

Han Li inwardly cried out "Not good!", but it was too late.

A scarlet tongue suddenly shot out from the scattered ghosts, heading straight for him.

Han Li reacted extremely quickly, stopping in his tracks and thrusting out his longsword. A concentrated beam of golden lightning shot toward the tongue.

But in the next instant, a scene that astonished him appeared.

Golden lightning patterns lit up on the scarlet tongue, and a massive lightning pillar, head-on, burst out from within, directly shattering Han Li's lightning sword light and striking him.

Han Li's body went numb, and even the circulation of his immortal spiritual power became sluggish, forcing him to stop his forward momentum.

"This is..." he wondered in astonishment.

The lightning released from the tongue was his own Evil-warding Divine Lightning. Although its power was not as great as the original, it was still terrifying enough.

Before he could figure it out, the scarlet tongue shot out again like a venomous snake, this time without releasing lightning, but instead wrapping itself around him.

Han Li tapped his toes and retreated explosively, immediately crashing back into a circle of Yin spirit ghosts.

Although these ghosts did not have high magic power, there were simply too many of them. Even with Han Li's golden lightning protection, they were still quite bothersome.

After a slight hesitation, he waved his hand, and a silver light gate appeared in front of him.

The ghosts surrounding the light gate paused for a moment, then rushed madly into it, instantly submerging the entire gate.

"A treasure of a cave heaven, this kid actually has such a treasure, haha... I'll let my little ghosts occupy it first, and then I'll officially take over as its owner." Gui Lingzi exclaimed with delight.

However, before he could finish rejoicing, the ghosts that had rushed into the gate fled out as if they had seen a ghost.

However, the silver light gate was narrow, making it difficult to enter and exit. For a time, tens of thousands of ghosts blocked the gate, unable to move in or out. Waves of ghostly wails echoed from within the gate.

Before long, however, the ghostly wails gradually subsided, and the ghosts blocking the gate finally scattered, forming a fan-shaped open space outside the gate. They stared at the gate, trembling and afraid to approach.

At this moment, a figure flashed inside the gate, and a girl with a slightly pale face and wearing a green dress walked out.

"This is?" Gui Lingzi frowned slightly when he saw Ti Hun, looking somewhat surprised.

"Burp..."

As soon as she appeared, the girl burped in a very unladylike manner, then looked at Han Li with some embarrassment.

"Ti Hun, this guy also cultivates in the ghost path, but he's a bit strange. I originally wanted to figure it out before calling you out, but I can't worry about that now." A smile flashed across Han Li's face as he spoke.

"Leave it to me." Ti Hun grinned.

Then, she turned her gaze, looking at the dense, countless ghosts in front of her, her cold eyes slowly sweeping over them, as if counting her rations.

"Roar..."

With a roar, black light rapidly flowed around her body, her eyes turned blood red, and her body rapidly swelled, soon transforming into a black giant ape over a hundred feet tall.

Its black fur stood on end like steel needles, it had strange horns on its head, sharp fangs, a third blood-red demon eye appeared in the split flesh between its eyebrows, and three dark, spiky bone spurs protruded from its back, exuding a chilling Yin aura.

Under her roar, all the ghosts were terrified and retreated.

"Xing Beast, it's actually a Xing Beast..." Gui Lingzi's expression also changed, and he cried out.

However, his tone was urgent, his eyes wide, and his face filled with excitement, making it impossible to tell whether it was surprise or fear.

The distant Lanyan was even more terrified. The Ti Hun she had seen in the past was always a girl, and although she didn't talk to her much, she seemed like a harmless little girl. Who would have thought that her true form would be so terrifying?

The gourmet-in-chief Ti Hun, now transformed into her Xing Beast form, was naturally not polite. With a twitch of her nose, large swaths of glow shot out, and wherever they passed, countless ghosts immediately collapsed into smoke and were sucked into her belly.

The entire stone chamber was filled with the wails and roars of countless ghosts.

Seeing this, Gui Lingzi curled the corners of his mouth into a sinister smile, his eyebrows arching upward.

Han Li felt a jump in his heart for some reason, and an inexplicable unease rose within him. He immediately transmitted a message to Ti Hun, "I feel like something's wrong. Be careful."

Before Ti Hun could answer, Gui Lingzi, who was outside the formation, suddenly dispersed, transforming into a cloud of ghost mist and disappearing.

Han Li's sense of vigilance immediately increased greatly.

Suddenly, the earth in the stone chamber trembled violently, and circles of annular blood light constantly emerged from the ground, illuminating the surroundings in a blood-red hue.

When Han Li looked around again, he found that the surrounding scenery had changed, and he no longer saw the stone walls and crystal pillars. He had been unknowingly transported to another space.

Ti Hun also made a soft hiss. The ghosts that were supposed to be her rations had also disappeared.

Within this space, there was neither north nor south, nor any objects. There was only a blood-red space.

Lanyan had already rushed over and came to Han Li's side with a panicked expression.

"It is said that Gui Lingzi, the Envoy Saint, is proficient in spirit domain cultivation, and has reached the Celestial-Human realm. This is probably his spirit domain space. It's called the 'Ghost Domain'." Lanyan reminded him.

"Hmph, you're really eating from both sides. I'll take you out first." A roar came from an unknown location.

Han Li's eyes flickered with faint purple light as he looked around, but he couldn't find Gui Lingzi's trace at all.

"Be careful..."

Just then, his brow suddenly furrowed, and he grabbed Lanyan's shoulder, pulling her toward him.

Where Lanyan had been standing, a circle of light suddenly rippled on the ground, and a bloody vortex emerged from it. Countless blood-soaked, evil ghost arms reached out from it, tearing and grasping at the empty air.

Han Li slashed out with his sword, and a golden lightning bolt surged out, slamming into the bloody vortex.

The bloody vortex splashed with blood light and immediately disappeared again.

At this moment, the area above the three people suddenly darkened, as if a shadow had fallen.

Han Li looked up and saw a mountain-like giant figure standing to the side, raising a huge foot and stomping down on them.

The figure was wearing a black official robe embroidered with dragon and phoenix patterns. He was incredibly stout and had a hideous face. On his head, he wore a crown with beaded curtains hanging in front and back. It seemed to be the same one that had appeared in the Immortals-Trapping Myriad Spirits Formation before.

The guy was holding a thick black book in one hand and a vermilion brush in the other, looking every bit like a judge.

Han Li could even clearly see a circle of annular runes lighting up on the bottom of his huge official boots. It was actually an engraved formation.

"Is this guy a domain spirit?" Han Li thought to himself, but his figure had already dodged to the side.

Although Ti Hun had manifested her true form, she was much smaller compared to the suddenly appearing evil ghost judge.

However, since it was the ghost path, Ti Hun had no fear. She was naturally suppressing it, so the bone spurs protruding from her back lit up with white light, directly crashing into the judge's shoe sole.

"Don't..." Han Li's expression changed drastically when he saw this, and he shouted loudly.

However, it was too late. Ti Hun's spikes had already collided with the formation on the judge's shoe sole.

Circles of blood-colored light suddenly bloomed from the sole of his shoe, transforming into blood-colored light walls that suppressed down. The power was so terrifying that it directly pressed Ti Hun down, forcing her to kneel.

Seeing this, Han Li flashed forward, wanting to rescue her, but the judge's head suddenly twisted at a bizarre angle, and he opened his bloody mouth expressionlessly.

The red python-like tongue suddenly shot out, like an arrow, heading straight for him.

It was as fast as lightning, directly approaching the vital spot on his forehead.

Before the tongue arrived, a stench that shook his soul assaulted his nostrils.
