Chapter 958: Weeping Blood Array

Han Li secretly braced himself, his eyes following the movement of the fire line, watching it extend along the ground for over a hundred zhang before finally seeming to reach its end and stop.

With a "whoosh," raging crimson flames suddenly erupted from both sides of the ground, illuminating the entire space where Han Li stood.

Han Li narrowed his eyes slightly and glanced around, his expression changing subtly as he marveled inwardly.

The space was about two to three hundred zhang in diameter, and the surrounding walls were covered in a continuous series of huge stone carvings, depicting towering mountains, rushing rivers, and magnificent cities and fortresses scattered among them.

The carved forests were filled with exotic beasts galloping freely, and cultivators soaring through the air, creating a scene of the immortal realm that was completely unrelated to this Accumulated Scale Void Realm.

"How could there be such murals here? Could it be that people exiled here in the past, longing for the past, carved them?" Han Li muttered to himself.

While pondering, he stepped around the stone platform in front of him and carefully examined all the murals along the wall, finding that although the images were complex, they were not coherent, and there seemed to be no obvious connection between them.

Before long, Han Li arrived at the depths of the space, where he saw a black stone coffin about three zhang in size lying on the ground. Carved on it was a puppet-like man with strings attached to all his joints, suspended in mid-air. He looked dull, with stiff limbs, appearing very strange.

The strings wrapped around the surface of the stone coffin and eventually converged above the puppet man's head.

Han Li stepped forward and examined it carefully, discovering that at the top of the puppet man's head, all the strings were interconnected, forming a circular pattern shaped like a Bagua. The center featured a Yin-Yang dual fish diagram, but the outer ring was not divided into the eight trigrams.

After hesitating for a moment, he reached out and gently touched the Bagua, discovering that the lines on the Bagua array positions were not fixed, but could be pressed down.

Seeing this, Han Li was delighted and muttered, "Qian is three continuous lines, Kun is six broken lines, Zhen is an overturned bowl, Gen is an upright bowl..." Then he raised his hand and pressed down on the eight array positions.

As the eight array position diagrams emerged, the fish-eye positions of the Yin-Yang dual fish diagram in the center suddenly sank, followed by a rumbling sound of stone rubbing.

The stone coffin slowly slid open, revealing no corpses inside, but rather a five-inch square transparent crystal box.

Inside the box was a silver hollow sphere, covered with extremely complex and strange patterns. From within, waves of bizarre power, like soul fluctuations, rippled and spread.

"It seems this is it..." Han Li's eyes flickered slightly as he pondered.

He examined the hollow sphere for a moment, then carefully checked around the inside of the coffin. Just as he was about to reach out and take the box, he frowned suddenly, feeling vaguely that something seemed wrong.

Thinking of this, Han Li raised his head and glanced around, looking at the surrounding landscape murals, a strange light flashing in his eyes. He withdrew his hand, retreated to the front of the stone coffin, and pushed the coffin lid back on.

He paced back and forth in place, repeatedly recalling the contents recorded in the jade slip. A sentence suddenly flashed through his mind: "The eight array positions are in form but not in intent, and must be based on this picture."

Han Li suddenly stopped, his eyes returning to the surrounding murals, a look of realization flashing across his face.

He walked directly to the rear of the stone coffin, raised his hand, and groped around on the mural, pressing down heavily on a carved round sun.

"Chi..."

After a soft sound, the round sun actually sank directly in.

"As expected..." Han Li was delighted and walked towards the next mural on his right.

The mural depicted a scene of rising clouds and storms, and Han Li found a cloud to press down.

Immediately afterward, he found a river in a scene of a great river flowing horizontally and a mountain peak in a scene of a mountain hiding its form, and pressed them down respectively.

Heaven is the sun, clouds follow the wind, water has no shape, mountains create momentum... the eight Bagua array positions are all hidden in these mural reliefs.

As Han Li pressed down all the hidden mechanisms representing the Bagua array positions, the entire space began to shake violently. The stone coffin placed on the ground began to sway and sink, and a tunnel entrance began to appear on the ground.

"A good one, in form but not in intent..." Han Li said with a smile and walked over.

The tunnel entrance was not large, a section of stone steps extending underground, only wide enough for one person to pass through.

Han Li didn't hesitate and stepped inside.

After walking down a dozen steps, the staircase turned to the left, revealing a doorway about one person high, with white light shining inside.

Han Li cautiously walked in and discovered that the inside was only about ten zhang in diameter and had little furnishings, appearing somewhat empty.

However, although the space was not very large, the walls were densely inlaid with pieces of snow-white star bone, and it was the light released from these star bones that made the place so bright.

Han Li looked up and saw a black stone long table placed against the wall directly in front of him, with two seemingly delicate white jade boxes placed side by side on it.

After a brief examination, he found nothing unusual, and then "clicked" open the lid of one of the jade boxes.

When the box lid was opened, there was no overflowing treasure light or any unusual phenomenon, only a fist-sized ball lying quietly in the jade box.

The ball was jet black, and its appearance was very similar to the one he had seen in the stone coffin earlier. It was also multi-layered and hollow, and covered with strange runes.

However, this ball had no power fluctuations coming out of it. Apart from its exquisite appearance, it did not seem to have anything remarkable about it. In comparison, the previous one seemed more real.

Han Li reached out and picked up the hollow sphere, holding it in his palm to examine it carefully. He could vaguely see strands of hair-like golden electric light swimming deep within the core of the ball, seemingly silent, but with the force of thunder.

His heart stirred slightly, and he vaguely felt that this object must not be simple, so he carefully put it into his arms.

After steadying his mind, Han Li's gaze fell on the other jade box.

This jade box was somewhat different. Its surface was inlaid with a disc, engraved with complex patterns. The outer ring had two circles of hollow holes, and each hole had a rice-grain-sized golden rune engraved below it.

Han Li frowned slightly and reached out to take the jade box, wanting to bring it closer for a closer inspection. However, he found that this thing seemed to be integrated with the table, firmly embedded on it, and did not budge at all.

Seeing this situation, the xuan apertures on his arms lit up, and the strength in his arms surged. He grabbed the jade box and lifted it upward with a jerk.

The jade box shook violently, and the table below it also trembled violently, but that was all. Neither of them were forcibly lifted by Han Li, and remained as stable as Mount Tai.

Han Li raised an eyebrow and suddenly raised a fist, smashing it down on the jade box.

A white light flashed on the surface of the jade box, and a layer of starlight suddenly lit up, turning into a surge of majestic force that rebounded outward.

Han Li quickly retreated a step to dissipate the force.

When he turned his head to look at the jade box again, the look of doubt in his eyes became even more solemn. As for the metal ball, the Crab Taoist's jade slip clearly stated that it was a must-have.

As for what was hidden in the other jade box, he had not mentioned it.

Han Li frowned tightly, the xuan apertures on his body lit up, and an even more powerful force began to circulate, punching towards the jade box.

"Boom!"

Unsurprisingly, the rebounding force on the jade box also became stronger, directly shaking Han Li back several steps until his back was against a wall before he stopped.

Han Li snorted coldly and did not intend to give up. Just as he was about to smash the jade box with even greater force, he noticed that a crack was widening beneath him, connecting to the bottom of the jade box on the stone table.

His brow furrowed, and a look of understanding flashed in his mind. He knew that he could not break this thing by force, otherwise he would only destroy this space as well, and he didn't have time to continue to waste here.

Just as Han Li was about to return to the front hall to check the situation there, the corner of his eye suddenly caught sight of a star pattern on the ground, illuminated by the starlight on the surrounding walls.

However, compared to the star map he had seen on the dome before, this one was not only much smaller, but also had many missing parts.

Han Li stared at the star pattern carefully for a long time, and a look of surprise suddenly flashed in his eyes. He suddenly clapped his hands and exclaimed, "So that's it, so that's it..."

Then, he pulled out the Star Ripple Brush from his sleeve and began to repair the star map.

After a long time, Han Li finished the last stroke, abruptly stopped, and stood up straight.

As this stroke fell, the star pattern on the ground began to bloom with dazzling light. A slight sound of gears turning rang out, and the disc on the jade box began to slowly rotate, finally "popping" open by itself.

Han Li was delighted and stepped forward to take a look, only to see that the jade box contained a piece of light gray leather, neatly folded into a small square, from some kind of scaled beast.

"This is..."

Han Li pinched the leather and gently spread it out, his brows furrowing again.

The leather depicted a five-pointed altar deeply embedded in the ground. On the five corners of the altar were painted strange beasts with two wings on their backs, which were exactly the same as the blood sacrifice formation that the five Xuan City Lords were currently activating.

Above the leather were four ancient seal characters, "Crying Blood Formation Diagram," which was clearly different from the blood sacrifice formation that E Kui had told everyone about.

Doubt arose in Han Li's mind, and he began to carefully examine the entire formation diagram.

He quickly discovered that some of the upper structures of this Crying Blood Formation were exactly the same as the blood sacrifice formation in the front hall. It could basically be confirmed that they were the same one, and E Kui must have had ulterior motives for deliberately concealing it.

In addition, the formation diagram showed that the space inside the blood pool of the formation was extremely large, and the patterns carved on the walls were so complex and hidden that they were simply unbelievable.

Outside the formation diagram, there were also short annotations, explaining some of the key points and specific functions of arranging this formation.

The further down Han Li read, the tighter his brow furrowed, and he finally understood what E Kui wanted to do.

He browsed all the way down, and his gaze finally fell on a section of annotation in the lower right corner, his eyebrows suddenly rising upward, and a slight smile appearing on the corner of his mouth.
